Ebay find

Indeed I sold a mint '96 manual N/A 5 years ago for 3k. Saying that though, this would make a great base car for a big single or v8 conversion
3. Oooo dodgey Competition orange just like joe dirt
4. I want pictures of the challenger
5. Welcome! The debate over auto vs manual has been covered many times; if you use the search function then you'll be able to find countless threads on the subject. Basically stock auto tt's are the cheaper way to go, but as mentioned, you will be limited to what power/ torque levels you'll be able to apply to it. Six speeds are generally more expensive but the box can cope with monstrous amounts of torque
6. I was forever falling out with mine, had it 4 years and probably decided to sell it about 4 times but then quickly retracted. The final time I decided to sell it, I priced it well to ensure it went quick before I changed my mind. Im currently supraless and to be honest, I'm finding it a bit of a relief. The car became less of a possession and more of an obsession; wouldn't park it in small or busy car parks, wouldn't wash it without foam pre wash, oil changes every 4 months or I wouldn't drive it, I wanted to replace everything on the car too. Sold up, bought a superbike and am enjoying the cheap thrills. I will own a supra again because i think theyre the balls; but in my opinion, unless the car is just a weekend toy, they can be a bit consuming and you will need a break from them to get the love back
7. They allllllll float down here
8. Cant be as crap as the Conan remake; I think the trick is to just not try and remake Arnie films - especially Commando Wasnt Farrel in the Fright Night remake too? What with all the bootlegs Colin?
9. Toyota Supra with modifications jumping the power up to 1000bhp, with loom tuck and extreme minimalist engine bay, different wheels, full bodykit, different seats, interior changes, different suspension, different exhaust, different engine management, different instrumentation..... would it still be considered a Toyota or something else? Should this car be considered just a Vauxhall?
10. I think it looks mean as fook! I'd have one
11. Thanks dude I thought long and hard about how to price the car, the market at the moment seems a little "stale" and there seems to be quite a few cars in the classified section that have been there for a while. I didn't really want to be in a position where I had posted the car up for sale for £6500, then reduced it to £6000 3 months later, then £5500 3 months further down the line. I did want more for it, but at the same time I needed it gone before I lost interest in selling it
12. You should have! The guy who bought it isnt a paid up member, but he's on here. TBH, when he first contacted me, I thought it may have been a scam - he contacted me more or less immediately and stated that he was coming to the UK on the 30th and so on. It did have the beginnings of a scam.....turned out I was wrong! His plans to drop his 850bhp lump into it and convert it to L/H drive seemed like fun, but then he mentioned he was collecting a new turbo today which would be capable of way more - felt a little jealous, but the Supra love has dwindled for the time being so i'm glad its moved onto a better place and not on some chavs driveway I'm pleased it was a quick sale, I feel the price was fair
13. Not sold on the interior, and does it seem about £1000 overpriced
14. The studs sheared, the back-end dropped and the wheel was trapped between the arch and the road Not a great deal of damage really; the wheel was fudged, and I needed new studs. I called the guy that sold me the car, he basically said that the car was fine when it left the "showroom" and that it was my responsibilty to check that the nuts were tight Following inspection, I found that the studs were barely long enough to suit the wheels (which were apparantly standard Supra wheels, which I found out later were actually Celica ones), on all 4 corners. I called the guy back, he offered to sell me a set of wheels, I offered to call trading standards, then he offered to give me a set of wheels......bloody ugly curbed 5-spoke with buggered tyres on the too Besides it initially being a death trap, the engine was as sweet as a nut
15. I bought a N/A from them about 5 years ago, I had it a week and the rear nearside wheel fell of mid-flight. All the studs sheared off! I was only doing 30, but I had been doing 90 a few days before - could have been messy
16. few more pics
17. Useful info, but I was asking about the cheaper pattern control arms that are available stateside from Rockauto.com
18. Sorry to bring this back to life, but has anyone actually tried to control arms from rockauto.com? They're supposedly pattern parts including bushings and ball joint at a 3rd of the cost. A wild guess would say that the Toyota items are the price they are for a reason, but then there's the feeling that OEM parts are just massively overpriced. Anyone shed any light on this?
19. Thanks I love gunmetal of supras, but in the sunshine, when polished, MSB is king
20. Kash, your inbox is full. I know youve made allowances to "get it perfect", but I will have to respectfully decline your generous offer PS. Don't bother contacting me regarding the sale of this vehicle again
