  5. Hey all. Could anyone tell me what the deal is if a car is declaired as written off? What i want to know is if my insurance ring up and say- my cars a write off, can i say i dont want to claim and they return the car as is (if so will it still be recorded as cat d or whatever)? The reason i ask is becuase before my car was taken away by my insurers (to their approved garage to be evaluated) i had it checked out by a proffesional bodyshop bloke and mechanic and it the damage doesnt seem as bad as i thought/ or it looks. Any help would be much appreciated. Shaun PS. I did just ring my insurance to ask this but the staff there at this time of night are about as much use as a handbrake on a canoe.
  6. Thanks for your comments guys. Yes he was insured (with the co-op if it makes any difference). The things im worried about are the 'a' post and whats actually bent suspension wise. But as i found out last night- and you pointed out L18msy, this can be pulled out again.
  7. Hiya mate, I have got wiplash- went MIU after the crash so it will be on my medical records. Shaun

  10. Under the bonnet mate everything is as should be. What should i be looking out for? - bent stuff obviously What would cause the wheel to sit how it is?
  11. He didnt admit liabiliity as such. When the crash happened it was just me and him. As soon as it happened i rang my girlfriend- as i was about 20meters from her house, who that came straight to the seen. As soon as i got out of the car i took photos, my girlfriend also. He didnt really do anything, just moped abount. Shaun
  12. Yeah im fine- same old wiplash/ bad shoulder
  13. lol thats an understatement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. Hey people. Thought id share todays events with you. Dropped my girlfriend home this morning at about 7.50, as some of you know it was cold as hell. There is a dangerous bend leading down to her house- which i always creep round. On the way back doing my usual 5/10mph and this joker in a Sierra Estate come flying round the corner (Way to fast for that corner, let alone in the ice!) saw me, slid straight into the side of me. Damage is quite bad, have a mechanic and bodywork bloke coming round later to look at it. The bonnet, bummper, door and sideskirt will definetly need replacing. The thing that worries me is that the weel is facing slightly upwards (bottom out more than the top), and whether there is serious damage to where the door hinges are attached. If/ when i get this fixed im definetly going to be looking for a second car, and just use the Supra at weekend etc (which i know many of you do). Be carefull in this weather people- i know you all are, careful as we are we just cannot avoid the other maniacs on the road!! By the way the bloke in one of the photos is not me, thats the other driver!! Photos arnt to hot as i was annoyed, cold and my phones crap!! 17. Ok mate, so how much would you say there worth? Considering offers from other members etc does £150 delivered seem fair?
  18. Hi Kyle, the black rubber bands on the bottom part are detachable (i put them on for the photo). Thats all i have with them. How much do replacement o-rings cost?
