Thats what i was just thinking. Ill get the disc of him tomorrow (if he has it) so i can reinstall if after. I always thought Works was free, although research shows um its not

Hey all hopefull somebody can help, i have a friends laptop at the moment which hes having problems with. For some unknown reason on boot up etc windows is trying to open certain files with Works. So on bootup im getting about 30 alert windows each saying "Works cannot open "path/to/file/"". So it looks like at some point somebody (not me ) has opened a file within the system32 folder, then clicked "Open With" and chosen works, then allways open with (or whatever the line says). I have tried doing a system restore but Works cannot open rstrui.exe ! If anybody can help me with this that would be great. Cheers all Shaun
