  1. Would recommended getting some adjustable pulleys too, if you haven't already ov course. I had to advance/retard the timing a little to get it running smooth on initial setup. As a note: I also fitted new front cam seals during the install, just to be safe. Good luck with the install bud
  2. Sorry bud, just noticed this. To date these Poncams have performed flawlessly. Car runs smooth as silk on tick over. Made a noticeable difference across the entire rev band, compared to stock camshafts, imo. Very user friendly road cams, as far as I'm concerned. No regrets here bud. Hope this helps Stunning TRD Supe btw. (Jealous +1 )
  3. Box is now out of the car. The centre pull ring/bearing has pulled away from the LA's pressure plate . It just slides away from clutch during clutch fork operation, instead of the usual pull/release function. Not sure if I need a replacement LA pressure plate, or just a new Toyota release bearing TBH??
  4. Haven't heard anything from them yet. They planned to remove the box Friday. I'm in work this weekend, so will pop up there on Monday and hopefully it will be done. Hoping it's a problem with the thrust bearing and not the clutch itself. I'll post up the outcome.
  5. Hoping something has just worked loose, to be honest. Car's booked in tomorrow, so i'll keep you posted bud. GLWS
  6. Jamie, sorry to hijack, but did you have any issues with your previous HKS LA clutch?? had mine fitted for less than a thousand miles, and yesterday the pedal went solid. Slave cylinder is fine. I used all new Toyota supporting parts on the install. Also my LA twin plate rattles like hell, and apparently they are supposed to relevantly quiet clutch. Have you heard or had any of these issues previously your self?? Sorry again for the hijack bud, Steve.
  7. Steve, can u put me down for a pair of these skinned handles also. In no immediate rush mate, but will deffo take a pair when the time comes. Cheers
  8. Only now noticed this chaps. I'm still abount in my RZ
  9. Just done a quick search now. It does look that way mate, yes. I remember seeing them, back when I fitted my Do Lucks. Just checked my receipts, Christ that over 12 months ago. Doesn't time fly!!
  10. I fitted a pair of those Do Luck brake lines. Trouble free installation, and no problems to date I think the HKS braided brake line kit also use stainless fittings, iirc. Bit dearer than the Do Lucks though. Your Supra's looking real nice Jack, fair play mate must be because its red
  11. The cams were good mate. I checked the valve clearances, replaced a few shims, and re-adjusted the cam pulley positions and the car ran near perfect.
  12. Ok mate, nice one. He did mention he was moving, when i previously spoke to him. I'll give him a ring tomorrow anyhow, to see if I can confirm a delivery date
  13. Hi mate Had a million things to sort this week, but will definitely phone him tomorrow and see if I can get through to him. I'll pm u tomorrow mate, once I've tried phoning. Cheers mate.
  14. Ok, the previous timing was out slightly: http://img835.imageshack.us/img835/1193/98843871.jpg I re-adjusted the the timing today, and the lower T/belt pulley mark is now aligned to the oil pump timing mark, and the cam timing remains set @ TDC. However, it made very little difference, if i'm honest, the problem remains. The engine ran perfect before i changed the cams, so with the timing now set correctly, i'm thinking the problem must be either with the new camshafts themselves, or possibly one of the coil packs, which were removed before fitting the camshafts. I'll lift the cam covers again in the morning, and pray i don't find a broken camshaft. Is there a way to check the coil packs for issue's?? I've already replaced the original brittle connector clips for the coil packs, so they can be eliminated as the cause. Cheers.
