Thanx for that Whats acheivable out of a NA without any turbos? What would it cost to get it to 300bhp roughly?

I was on about that it will be cheaper going with the gte engine transplant as the price for all the turbo kits and all that will mount up to be around the same and the parts will less of quality than the second hand gte parts. What can you get out of a NA without any turbos added? Also what about the gear box on the NA, will it not blow at 400bhp? I thought standard gte auto box was only good for 500bhp. I can remember someone saying that the NA box is only good till 350bhp?

You can only roughly turbo your N A engine upto 350 bhp and t that amount it is stressing the engine in my opinion. Better to go with a complete engine swap mate so if anything does go wrong then you can fix it easily and with second hand parts

Yeah, you may be right buddy. £1300 for a aerotop, thats impressive. Dont think Id be lucky enough to find one at that price. Id snap it up without hesitation

Where could I get a na aerotop shell? Not bothered about it being fully running as I will be changing it to a twin turbo. Whats the going price for shell nowadays Any ideas fellas cheers

I agree it isnt fair to slate existing members but I dont class what the lad said as help. It came accross very cheeky and not needed. If I got my wires crossed then Im sorry. Could of just been Respray2-3k flocking 1200 tt transplant around 3k That would of been perfect

Ive had 7 supras mate including aero imports and uk cars with single turbos , so know probably more than most . Like Ive said Ive been out of the game in a wheelchair for the last 4 years and have lost track of what things cost

Hi all. Ive been out of the game for a while and im just looking to see how much mods etc cost nowadays. Im after a aerotop car or shell. Whats the going cost of these? How much is TT engine transplant with all the extra necessary bits and bobs Flocking the dash, how much is it? How much is a blow over and then how much is it for a total colour change including the engine bay? leather retrims, how much are these for the supra nowadays? Alot of questions so thanks for your time

Thats the problem. Not too many buyers nowadays who will spent that kind of money on a 15 year old car let alone many who would buy a single turbo. Seems to me ,everyone is wanting to spent sub £5k on a twin. I wonder what kind of money people are letting their singles go for. I bet they go for less than what they spend just converting it to single.

I think there is only 1 insurance group between them. If you get a na you will wish it was a tt because you will want more and more power.

Go for it. Supras are in a different class and you can take a couple of mates to the pub in it. Just make sure you have a big enough wallet. It can get addictive, think Ive had 5 or so

Just gonna see what its worth first. If it aint worth ote then Im gonna keep it till my legs are healed. Theres loads of supras up for sale at min, might be worth keeping it till next year. How much is the membership anyway?
