  1. I have been collecting screws and nails on my window cill at work, lol
  2. The Works Manager is looking into getting my tyre paid for, nothing ventured, nothing gained.
  3. Looking to purchase a magnet that sits on the back/bottom of a fork lift truck, to pick up nails etc, i cant seem to find anything suitable other than buying from New Zealand although site doesnt show prices. Anyone have any ideas??? It is a possibility that the nail i found in my tyre could have come from work as my collegue has had the same thing this weekend, driving the work vehicle and then found he had a puncture caused by a nail.
  4. Hmmm, i quite like it although the shade of brown on the second picture isnt great but you could always go for a different base coat, i like the 1st picture albeit the same car and colour.
  5. Ok, i am ready to buy the new tyre as Carnoissuer wont do a deal on tyre for that price even though i am buying the new wheel through them. Has anyone used this company http://www.event-tyres.co.uk before, it was posted but was that just a search or have you used them Konio-nt??
  6. The very best of luck Russ, i really hope this all works out for you. xx
  7. Roflmao!!! These have made it round the office this morning, hopefully there will be a few smiles today.
  8. Talking of Kream, what a friendly group of people, they welcomed me on their stand when i finally got myself into the show after i blagged my way in, even tho the car was looking sorry for itself they were impressed. Does anyone know if there is a site i can sign up too and say thanks, i had a flyer but heaven only knows what happened to it. I bet there are a few pics on the net of my car and its spare wheel, lol.
  9. Nationalities onboard the plane
  10. Not to my taste but if you like them and think they will suit your car then go for it.
  11. Lesson learnt for sure, i guess these things get taken for granted and it takes something like this to make it hit home how serious it could have been and how lucky we was, 2 minutes later and i would have been going 20mph more, scary thought.
  12. Would i be better getting Yokohoma since i have these on the other 3 wheels?? Or are Falkens better???
  13. Ok well i have decided part worn isnt an option, thank you for sharing the possibility though, but i havent had any luck recently so i think my only option is new. I have emailed Carnoisseur (original wheel supplier) to see what deal they can do on a new wheel with a Falken tyre, i have taken a look round and see these are highly recommended. The wheel although can be refurbed Lepsons have stated that it wont look the same so i will keep this as a spare and get a new tyre for this when i can afford it.
  14. This kind of thing?? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/265-30-19-Tyres-X2-Partworn-Kumho-Ectsa-Supra_W0QQitemZ260417090875QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Cars_Tyres_RL?hash=item3ca211753b&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1689|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318|301%3A0|293%3A1|294%3A50 I have also found out that the wheel is ok, but can not be refurbed because its tin?? They can polish it out and try best they can but at my own risk.
  15. Just shows how niave i am regards tyres as i was told these were middle of range, which for me i thought would be good enough since i dont do excessive driving. No wonder i got a shock when Kwik Fit quoted £500 when i was in Northampton yesterday.
  16. Got to find those few pennies as i already forked out £350 on it last weekend.
  17. That looks like a cool piece of kit, unfortunately i wont have the money for something like this for quite some time now, hmmmm maybe something for the Christmas list.
  18. Can't say i have seen that video. What ever it was it was scary enough for me, managed to drive it back on the spare yesterday but i couldnt get back in it this morning
  19. Wheel has gone to Lepsons to find out if there is any faults with it and i will be getting the valve checked again as this wasn't fitted correctly when i first got them and caused me to get a flat and pay for a new tyre, so flat is a possibility although the air is checked regularly. Found a nail in the tyre as well. The rest of the wheels have Yokohama or something on, these have lasted since i first got the wheels, although i dont do a great deal of driving other than a couple of shows a year, the rest is local as i live and work in Faversham. As for cheaper trainers, i be lucky to get Reebok Classics every six months, lol, thats not my foot in the pic, hahahaha. The speedo has also decided to pack up, it never rains it pours of late. Probably jinxed myself buy saying i may have to sell it.
  20. Thanks Konrad, that doesnt look as expensive as i thought, although i couldnt do that myself for sure. As for MOT it wasn't advised, only thing i had was numberplate being illegal and that was it.
  21. Its only just passed an MOT??
  22. Yea, i decided to go to the show anyway as it happened just short of Northampton services and i was told there was a Formula One although they didnt have the size yet Kwik Fit did but wanted £500 which i dont have plus new wheel and tyre is £300. I got into the show for nowt as well and found a nice group of people that let me on their stand, lol. Fortunately i was only doing 50 as it was road works, happened just as the cones were coming to an end to, although wasnt so good that i was in the middle lane, car stayed quite controlled, but i guess it would be a different story had it been the front. Dont think i be sleeping tonight as i still feel shaky, not an experience i want to go through again.
