as said there is a big washer behind the bolt head so there is no risk of grinding the crank! when head is ground off its finger tight. easy!

i had the same problem, engine was on a stand and i spent hours tryin to undo it! in the end i just ground it off with a grinder! sounds a bit harsh i no but i got it off, new bolt was only about a fiver so not too bad

all sorted now! took the gearbox off and flywheel was loose! refitted with new bolts (that were £7 +VAT each) and all is good. cant beleive how easy it is to take the gearbox off, took about an hour!

just had a look at the sup and it seems to be the gearbox blown not engine as my first thought. anyone no of a 5speed manual gearbox?

need a n/a engine preferably, maybe turbo engine for the right price. i only need the bottom end as mine has spun the big end bearings but a whole engine would be better

stay clear of hks mushrooms. i had one on mine wen i got it, wen i took engine apart for rebuild the inside of the inlet manifold was covered in s**t! also the sponge filter is the same as a ripspeed one from halfords!

ive got an n/a and id say its pretty good, not got figues tho just put £20 in every now and then! you will miss the power tho!
