  1. It's gone to a classic car collector down in Hertfordshire so hopefully it'll be in good company
  2. Yep this happened the day I left to come home. By all accounts one of the Porsches had a coolant leak and that's what caused the crash. It had been a great weekend up until that point and the 911's had been putting in some amazing laps from Friday all through the weekend. Such a shame for all involved.
  3. Hi sorry, weather has been atrocious up here, I'll fire them over within the next 24 hours. Once again please accept my apologies Gordy
  4. Reluctantly up for sale: 1994 Toyota Supra 3.0 Twin Turbo I have owned this car for over three years now and it has been in the U.K. for over 12 years with only one previous owner who was also a forum member. It has been ultra reliable and looked after no matter the cost, being serviced every year with additional oil changes every six months. This is a very good example for a 24 year old car which is only up for sale due to personal circumstances. Details and Mods: Colour: 199 Silver. Engine: 3.0 litre 2JZ GTE stock engine. Auto box (don't be put off by this, I originally wanted a manual until I drove the auto and fell in love with it and its manual mode!). 86k miles (mixture of km's and miles, works out about 65k miles). AO1B limited slip differential. 18" XXR alloys in custom Sepang Bronze. Goodyear Eagle F1 asymmetric 2 tyres all round (only 1 year old). Chris Wilson race pads front and rear. Jspec size Brembo discs front, OEM discs rear. Kenwood sat nav head unit. Stubby aerial mod. BC Racing Coilovers. Blitz braided brake lines. Whifbitz front strut brace. Brand new alternator in August. Brand new battery in July. Side window wind deflectors. RMM style front poly lip. Rolled and flared arches all round. Clear side indicators. Angel eye side light with flashing led indicators. Facelift style front jspec light cluster units. New wipers last month. Full BPU modifications including: NGK iridium spark plugs. Whifbitz front mount intercooler. Blitz Nur Spec R 3" cat back exhaust. Whifbitz 3" twin decat pipes and restrictor ring. HKS RS induction piping and kit. Blitz turbo timer. Turbosmart boost controller @ 1.2 bar. Whifbitz radiator with 1.2 bar cap. SRD intercooler cooling plate. SRD gearbox oil cooler. Bosch 044 fuel pump. HKS fuel cut defender. This car really is a head turner, and it goes really good! I recently raced a 1000bhp Ferrari LaFerrari at a Performance Portfolio day and to say I was proud of the Supras performance is an understatement. This car has taken me to the Isle of Skye, the South Coast of England on several occasions and across to Holland and never skipped a beat, it really is one amazing machine! A few years back it dyno'd on a hot day at 384.5 bhp but has since had additional mods and I have no doubt this is easily a 400+bhp car. The bad bits: There are a few stickers from various events I have attended on the car, these have never bothered me and can be removed. Just a heads up. Some led's blown on angel eye side lights. The sat nav on the head unit has stopped working, I have not investigated this as yet. Some stone chips and scratches on paintwork, it is 24 years old so not doing too bad. It has after a very damp downpour had some water in the seatbelt well, I've been told this is due to a blocked drain but haven't looked as it hasn't bothered me that much, but I'd rather be honest about everything. The car has an impeccable history and the past MOT's show this. The current MOT runs out on 05/05/18 and the car was SORN'd only the other week for the winter but if there is a serious buyer I will put it back on the road for a test drive/sale. No time wasters or tyre kickers, sorry to even say that but these types of cars do pull in everyone wanting a test drive which is why I will not allow any test drives without proof of insurance for the vehicle via a one day policy etc, please contact me for full details and I will tax the car so insurance can be granted. I am not in a rush to sell but if the right buyer comes along I am sure we can discuss the finer details. For the asking price I will also include a brand new half roll cage which I have sitting in my garage that has never been fitted. Price is: £14,995 Many thanks for taking the time to look at my advert, any questions just ask. Gordy
  5. I'll be in the Roadster but can do...
  6. Hi Junk Trunk, yes, whilst not officially listed my full BPU TT Auto is on the market. It's a genuine reason for sale, and it's been a club car for over 12 years with me only being the second owner in the U.K. Drop me a PM for full details if you're interested Thanks
  7. I'd love to but I'm at the Nurburgring the weekend after so can't commit to both unfortunately.
  8. *** T - Minus 12 hours ! ***
  9. Not long now guys and gals! 0809 at Intu Braehead on Friday morning! There will be a fuel stop if anyone requires it but if you're all topped up the night before that would be even better! Remember your cameras, midge nets and banter! See you all soon!
  10. Alright dude, so I spoke with the Skyewalker today and there is absolutely no rooms left available, not even in the dorms. They said there may be cancellations but there's also the ferry bookings to consider as I don't know if the crossing is fully booked yet either. I'll drop the Skywalker an email and tell them to give us a heads up on any cancellations and worst case scenario they can drive back and not get the ferry. Best I can do sorry.
  11. Thanks....this was just as I broke down lol No McDonalds for me, my alternator had just died hahahahahaha!
  12. Anyone who hasn't been in on the messenger chat who wants a Trip Polo or T shirt, order is going in tomorrow, drop me a PM if you're interested!
  13. Two months to go people! 2 months time and we'll be winging our way around the Highlands and Islands again! I'll fire up a full itinerary in a few weeks and if anyone has any questions in the mean time, feel free to ask! Cheers again Gordy
  14. Yes definitely worth a visit, especially in its new venue! We will be back next year with a worthy show of force lol
  15. Do you know what....No, no we're not unfortunately. What with Applecross, changing career and a few other things going on I missed the submission date for the entry forms and for that I can only apologise. Once all the replies, views and rants have been aired I shall lock the thread. Once again please accept my apologies on this one, I should've acted sooner
  16. Sorry to hear both Spunkmeyer and Havard won't make it this year. You will be missed, and we will have a midge infused beer in the garden in your memory! Hopefully see you guys next year! Anyone wishing to take up the spare room or anyone wanting to upgrade from a basic twin to the en suite let me know asap! Cheers again all
  17. Just a reminder all balances are due 5th of June. Not long now for what should be another epic Applecross weekend! Let's hope our order for sun has been sorted out
  18. Indeed it did! And the way it hunkered down when accelerating was a dream to watch
  19. Well I signed up several months ago to race the Supra against a McLaren P1 down an air strip. Just last week we were told that unfortunately the P1 had crashed and burst into flames but all occupants managed to escape alive and well. So the car was changed to an 860bhp Ferrari Laferrari and today was the day. For the past two weeks up here in Scotland the weather has been absolutely beautiful, sun every day, clear skies and great driving conditions...today, well today it was back to being typical Scotland! Video is below, the starting sequence wasn't explained to me so the Laferrari got a split second head start (yeah like I had a chance in the first place lol) whilst I was stood there with my thumb up my....and as you can see there was enough surface water to have a game of water polo in between runs, but I think the old girl did well. The digital screen at the end said I ran 14 seconds, don't know how accurate the timing kit was, but it was more of a laugh than an actual competitive day.....if only it had been dry I'd have had him...lol [emoji23]
  20. Holy thread revival!!! Think this has just happened to me.... Went to jump start the Supra this afternoon, dash lights came on once all connected up with the leads, turned the key to start and there was crack noise came from the engine bay and then there was no power at all to the car. Tried the leads again and nowt. Decided to leave it for another day but after a bit of research have discovered it may be the 120A fuse that has blown. Anyone else experienced this and had to swap one out?
  21. Here goes...my 2p worth... to the OP, personally I think you bought the car at a higher price than what it might actually be worth, that's not a bad thing, if you want a car you'll pay the price. That's life. The fact you've put x amount of £'s into it unfortunately this won't really increase the price by much considering what you've done. I'm guessing you spent this money expecting to hold on to the car and not sell so quickly and not to try and make a profit? I only say this as I've seen this car for sale a few times in the last 6 months, definitely once previously by yourself. I'm not having a dig, I hope it doesn't come across like I am, but my advice would be, if you're wanting to sell, stick it up for £7k and expect to make a small loss on the price and take the money you've put into it as a learning experience. It's got good things going for it, it's a nice car, nice colour and an aero top. But unfortunately I can't see it making much more and I think you may have bought it for its top price. Personally with the amount of work and money you've put into it, I'd keep it and enjoy it and who knows, it may increase in value or the right buyer may come along. Don't rely on this 'the USA can import them soon' whisper that's going around, it isn't going to suddenly add ££££'s to the value of our cars, the USA already has a good import scene and I personally don't think they'll be scouring UK Gumtree for a bargain when a) prices here are rising as has been mentioned and b) the import costs alone will be astronomical. As I said, I'm not having a dig, and it's just my 2p worth. Gordy
  22. Alrighty, won't be able to make it down for this one sorry, had planned a nice wee run but I've got builders round this week and needs must. Have a great time, route looks good and the discount at DT is worth the run itself! Cheers
