1. List updated in first post (thanks again Iky). Happy New Year to all!
2. Some parts available again owing to time-waster (2 months)! Please PM me if you are interested in any of these parts and are able to come and collect. Anything not gone by Christmas will be 'disposed of'. Thanks
3. Couple more bits reserved for Iky
4. Well done Mark (& brother-in-law) for finding us in the dark and fog of North Yorkshire in October! Original post updated with items left to collect or still available for the intrepid!
5. Thanks to Xzarik (Scott) and Iky for making the trip out to the sticks to pick up their bits. Although, it did freak me out to follow a car near identical to mine up the lane to our house.
6. Heated seat switch to Iky. Mark - Thursday is fine; after 6.30 pm?
7. No problem - reserved for you.
8. Added a couple of bits I'd forgotten and re-added one item: Driver's side door arm-rest (now reserved) Front seat heating kit Boot/tailgate struts (great condition but not strong enough for cars with spoiler) (now reserved) All PMs answered.
9. Link to pictures now sorted out - sorry about that. Updated above or click here. Please PM me with any items that you're interested in - I get instant notification of your message. Thanks!
10. Pictures in web album here.
11. Now that I've sold my car I have the following items up for grabs if you're prepared to come and collect: UK rear bumper (VGC with foam and lights, partially prepped for painting) £20 Facelift steering wheel centre airbag £50 Facelift Metal Monkey replacement speedo dial MPH (new) £20 OEM Boost sensor £5 (reserved TRD-1) Complete REAS suspension (will not split) £250 Camcon VVTi controller (never used) £100 All parts used unless otherwise stated. Cash on collection from me in North Yorkshire (BD22 - close to Skipton, Colne, Keighley). N.B. I'm not posting any of this stuff out - sorry (our local rural Post Office is now closed so it would mean taking time off work to sort out). Pictures in web album here. (I'll remove stuff from list/album as/when it goes).
12. Sold! Mixed emotions - sad to see it go but delighted that it's going to such a good home/lovely people (forum member).
13. E-mail address for anybody who wants to contact me off-forum: (deleted)
14. I know - not helped by the fact that wife couldn't help noticing that the car is STILL parked on the drive when we get back from hols :-(
15. Sorry - been out of the country for a few weeks. If you're holding out for a manual VVTi, I humbly suggest you try a Tiptronic car first (like mine!) - you might change your mind ...
16. More pictures added to album here. Sample:
17. Thanks guys. The colour is Quicksilver = more silver than grey but still quite difficult to tell the difference between gunmetal unless side-by-side.
18. This is probably going to be a poor advert because I really don't want to sell my car but if someone offers me the asking price then I guess it's goodbye ... I bought the car back in 2008 from another member who had owned it since it was first imported in 2004. Since then, I've spent most of my Supra time titivating it (oo-er) and not much time driving it (less than 86,400 miles now on the clock) which is why it's becoming increasingly hard to justify keeping it. It's still not quite perfect but I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. Cam-belt was changed at the first service after I bought it. Last summer it was given a full mechanical going-over by Chris Wilson, including (but not limited to) test of VVTi system (A-OK), valve clearance check & adjust (new/reground shims where required), CW front de-cat., uprated fuel pump (Denso = silent) and brake overhaul (new discs & pads). Other new items I've fitted recently (that I can remember): Toyota OEM Oxygen sensor, Iridium plugs, Toyota OEM tailgate struts (new, not refurbished), rear anti-roll bar, bushes and drop-links. There's more details of what's been done to the car on my garage page (link in signature). The car was serviced earlier this year and, for the MOT (just done in June - no advisories), I fitted new Conti. Sport Contact 3 tyres to the rear that have covered less than 20 miles; the front tyres match but have about 4mm tread. Taxed until end of March 2012. Log book, Toyota keys (including spare & valet key) and two remote fobs for Thatcham Cat. 1 alarm (with VSIB certificate) all present & correct. In short, the car is completely ready to be driven and enjoyed with nothing to be done, no maintenance costs until service/MOT next year. Private plate (R50UFO - "Ah-So UFO !" ) included in the sale. I also have a load of spares & extras that the purchaser will be given first refusal on. Please contact me via PM initially if you have any questions or require any further info. 19. Hi Posting these details up on behalf of member Kip (Mark) whose current job doesn't allow time to get on the web! So apologies in advance: this won't be the best ever ad. He says: "Can you let the forum know my car is up for sale, £6500 or nearest offer, It's garaged and I just don't use it anymore and it's a shame just leaving it in the garage - 11months Tax, 10 months MOT, two new rear Toyo T1R tyres, will have an oil service prior to anyone picking it up." From what I remember of the car, it was in very nice condition, red (and I mean red - the later colour, definitely not pink), black leather seats and very standard but quick! Facelift but not VVTi (so could actually be an early 1997 car). He's forgotten to give the mileage but I seem to remember it was about average. He's owned the car for the last seven years and I think there was just one other UK owner before that (elderly gent!). His contact details are: Sold the same day!
