  1. Nice car guys, looking forward to seeing it on Sunday at Santa Pod, I'm guessing it will be easy to spot!
  2. 2 down 2 to go in red with Supra logos, looks stunning on a black car, just ran out of daylight, need to get up early to make sure they are ready for Japshow on Sunday. Shame the paint didnt come in orange.
  3. I'm going, leaving from Stourbridge to Toddington on the Sunday. meet at Foley Arms on Hagley Rd - Anyone?

    Good day to you all

    Oookay! Welcome anyway
  5. Looking at all the cars in the line up I'm guessing I'll be far enough back from the other cars not to worry about stones being kicked up lol
  6. Couldn't resist after watching on Sunday, I reckon this track day has got to be safer than any other, all responsible drivers and noone looking to take each other out and what looks like a decent track, might have to get one of those leather bonnet covers lol:)
  7. I'm in Stourbridge, about 30 mins or so, what exactly is the problem?
  8. Nothing like leaving it late mate, nice to see you'll be there, probably arrange to meet up on way with anyone alse from Mids, far too long to wait yet though.

    My New Supra Bargain

Not too shabby for a bargain basement deal, hows the JDL project coming on, notice the front wings are on, the front bumper is the easy bit. Enjoy the new toy.
  11. All paid up by paypal, sent PM Steve

Sorry we missed you, Japshow at Santapod on 22 June is a good meet, 70+ last year, see the thread under national events, the convoy from Toddington Services on the Sunday is one not to miss and a good chance to meet some of the members.

Mate, there were 16 cars on the club stand just opposite the Evos, you should have come and said hello.
  14. Thanks to steve for organising the day, good to talk to SteveL and Ben, cars looked great on track. Took some photos and will try and post up. Great to meet my cars former owner at long last and everyone else. We migt not have been as colourfully dressed as the Scooby stand but we got all the admiring glances, ditto Steve on making this a bigger attendance next year.
  15. No good, I need to get me some engine bling, looking very sweet mate
  16. See, now you made me jealous, show off
  17. Update - Made a start today, Lot of work to do, Meguires wheel cleaner on a cloth works a treat, followed up by Meguires metal polish on the manifold. Biggest difference though was just wiping down all pipes, cables and covers etc with a bit of back to black. Would appreciate your advice on Sunday SteveR on taking it to next level.
  18. Don't be shy now, be good to see you again.
  19. Cheers, I'll give that a go tomorrow.
  20. Was afraid that was the answer, oh well, just as well I took the week off, thanks for the advice
  21. Picked up the car from respray and want to get it as clean as possible for EDC and Time Attack show at Silverstone on 1 June where we have a club stand. There is a lot of dust etc under the bonnet, The engine's an NA and not dressed yet, just stock but clean, am also polishing engine compartment prior to the weekend - question is, is it advisable to spray wash the engine. I can remember some time ago in Germany garages using a mixture of gunk and petrol as a pre wash spray which left a gleaming finish, anyone used something similar? Not afraid of hard work and have Meguires metal polish to finish off.

    replica body kits

Don't know a great deal about this but just bought and had the JDL kit fitted. Thankfully it was good quality albeit cheap. The problem comes when the cast isnt finished on the back. Once its primed and painted even at a low heat loads of air pockets appear leaving a pitted finish. Its true you do get what you pay for but my experience is that it can be done for a reasonable price without shelling out thousands.
