Michel, i totally agree. Its hard like this on any product in regards to warranty as well. Like Turbos for example, you send them in knowing THEY are the specialist and your trusting their opinion when they inspect it only to find the warranty most likely dont cover the part that has failed for whatever odd reason. Racing parts are just frustrating at times but thats why we love the game we play....right? I'm sitting on pins and needles over my new BMW 335i. Its got intake/exhaust/chip thats on a 20,000 mile car that i think i have voided the warranty already lol! i'm just praying nothing happens so i dont have to deal with BMW tech's and the arguements that my aftermarket parts are why such and such failed.

If you dont drag the unit, the ONLY thing you should have to watch are really heavy stop and go driving in a traffic jam or the hwy racing. Try not to beat on it in back to back hwy pulls. Allow a few miles of cool down after a hwy pool before being aggressive again.

Michel, i totally feel ya mate. I have heard hit or miss stories all over the world with the built auto boxes (not boost logic specifc) just any upgraded box. I feel i was lucky and my friend locally as well. His is still running strong on the 67dbb he uses with no nitrous. He hasn't seen temperatures above the 220F mark (not sure what that is in C). They say to try and not beat on them above the 200F mark. My buddy sees on average around the 180-190 mark.

I personally had just 1 large cooler and NEVER had any issues. The dimensions are in standard but they were roughly 11" tall by 22" wide. It was a permacool found on summit, was about $150 if i recall. I ran times faster than anybody on the US forums with a 67dbb turbo with this setup and was approaching the times of the fastest recorded with the auto box. I suggest 1 large cooling and get a trans temp gauge. Just keep a close eye on the temps and try not to beat on the car back to back runs. Allow sufficient cooling times and all should be well.

Paul, None anymore, i rolled it back in september out on some back roads :/ but the mods where: 67dbb, hks 264 cams, vpc/safc, bl auto, 3800 stall, 100 shot basically.

I have a 3.5 Bar MAP sensor i had laying around for my supra. 95GBP delivered

Here is my 07 335I, it has intake/exhaust/chip and its dynoed over 360whp and almost 400ftlbs of trq. It makes that peak torque at just 2200rpms on the dyno. It literally can pull from any rpm in any gear.
-
Also depends on budget i guess. I'm not sure if they offer it, but i'd assume they do. I'd look into the 07 335I 4 door. Its got a spify 3.0L Inline 6 twin turbo motor. I have a 2 door coupe and absolutely love it. Here in the states, the 4 door 335i is ALMOST comparable in price to a nice E46 M3, the M3 still being a bit cheaper since its older but if its not far out of your budget, i'd look into it.

Alot more goes into drag racing than just a nitrous kit. The right suspension, tires, driver...etc But i had a 100 wet shot kit on my 67dbb single setup. I ran a boost logic auto gear box. I went from running about a 10.2@130-132mph on boost to about a 9.6@140mph on the nitrous. It really wakes the car up if done right, if done wrong it can cost you a motor and alot of other parts.

NP, glad i could help. Also i loved the BL/3800 stall setup. I had a 67dbb and it was a ball to drive. Automatic's fail mainly because of transmission fluid temps. Get the best and biggest cooler you can fit in the front. I had one in between my fmic and AC condensor. It was huge but did the job and i never had issues.
-
The 3800 stall speed is close to what the car will foot brake up to before it starts pushing. Meaning, if you hold the brake pedal to the floor and give the car gas, the rpms will rise to about 3800rpms give or take before the car will no longer stay put and start moving forward. Folks use this rpm rated stall for drag racing that allows them to leave the line with a good amount of boost on a nice turbo. It wont "really" effect the hp goals over say like a 3200 stall. I had the boostlogic gear box and the PI 3800 stall in my personal supra. I still have it if your interested, i'm asking $2200 for both transmission and stall.

Cheers mate!! Like i said let me know on the other goodies

Stuart, if you can and i dont mean to rush you, shoot me a PM on this turbo your thinking about. I have another guy asking if he can purchase it and told him I'd still let you have first dibs since we discussed it in this thread today. And when i hear back from Dan on the clutch, i'll likely to get those ordered up from RPS since they have it in stock.
-
PM'd both of you on the RPS prices, let me know gentlemen and we can get some stuff rolling sometime soon
-
haha i love you guys!! Yea everything thus far sounds great. I can ship everything to one location if you guys are fairly close to each other. Shipping would be alot cheaper going in bulk but i do have to account for the weight and size but again its cheaper for sure. Stuart, your just after the plate and not the whole clutch right? And Dan, you need the entire clutch right?
-
Stuart, this is the actual turbo: It is water and oil cooled. I dont have any oil/feed lines but i can get the BL oil/feed kit and i can make you some water lines fairly cheap using some good AN fittings and such. The BL oil/feed kit is $180USD and the water lines are generally $75 to make. PM me and we can discuss more if you'd like.

I had the BL auto with 264 cams. Spool was laggy compared to the .81 but i had nitrous on the car so it didn't bother me. I also only had 3" exhaust so that hurt the spool some as well. I can source the .81AR, I can swap to the .81AR. I would have two options at that point. I can do $1100 with BOTh .96 and .81 AR included and you can figure out which you prefer, or i can do $1050 for just the turbo with the .81AR and i'll try and sell the .96AR housing seperately to someone here in the states.
-
Stuart, i still have my 67dbb .96AR that was on my personal supra, $900 + delivery with no shaft play. it has the polished ported H housing. And if you can't find a manifold, i can source both VWR and BL tubular manifolds.
