  1. A prophet. /vbb/images/smilies/bbcode_grin.gif As told by my 14-year old son.
  2. I've found a light below the compartment between the two front seats .... fitted a new bulb and it works. I assume it's meant to illuminate the storage compartment (??). There is a rectangular cut-out towards the top of the compartment but the bulb doesn't fit properly into it. Am I missing a bulb holder or something else?
  3. I've just wired up a blue LED bulb as a footwell light (I took a power feed off the ignition ring light) but I'm not sure where to mount it. Any chance of a picture of an existing install?
  4. If you want to want to buy a Soarer have a look here ... http://http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=127492 You won't get a better one.
  5. If you'd bothered to read my original post I made the point that the fine isn't the issue. I had my fog lights on, they should have been off, end of story.
  6. I've got his ID number and I've managed to get his name (Constable Bennett ). Just about to 'phone his boss to complain.
  7. According to plod "driving in clear conditions with foglamps lit." Last night I was given a £30, non-endorsable fine. /vbb/images/smilies/bbcode_angry.gif I don't have any problem whatsoever being pulled over for having my fogs on but to issue an on-the-spot fine is out of line. A ticking off would have been more than sufficient. The £30 fine is not the issue. What really pissed me off was the attitude of the policeman. He was unnecessarily aggressive and when I told him, very politely, that I thought a fine was harsh he read me my rights!! I didn't have my licence or insurance certificate with me so I showed him a switch card as proof of ID(!). That was OK - nice to know the police are keeping our roads safe from unlicensed and uninsured drivers. To cap it all he was wearing a large gold bling ring on his thumb. Surely not part of standard police dress (?). I'm seriously considering rejecting the fine and going to court. I'm also thinking about lodging an official complaint about plod's attitude and behaviour. I'll re-consider once I've calmed down.
  8. What type of bulbs do you need? I've almost finished my blue dash conversion so I've got the original green bulbs if they're any use to you.
  9. I need the vertical bar (??) that fits into the hole in the driver's side carpet to keep the mat in place. Anyone got a spare they are willing to sell?
  10. I've got a semi-auto shotgun, a side-by-side shotgun, a Ruger .22 semi (with silencer) and a 28ft lbs air rifle all on the same FAC. I had to get plod out to approve the land for the .22 but, apart from that, no hassle at all. I use the semi-auto shotgun to shoot rats after dark at a local battery hen farm ... great fun at this time of year. A black Supra TT, a black Soarer TT and an arsenal of guns. What more could anyone want????
  11. Take my advice. Like me, put your TT in the garage until next April.
  12. VVTI controllers for timing belt on a 2.0 3SGE Altezza engine (1999). Either controllers or entire engine.
  13. Roughly 80,000 miles. The odometer reads 120,000 (I think ... need to check) although most of that was in Jap km before the speedo conversion. Mmmm ... not sure how to answer this one. On the first picture the door is OPEN . On a serious note, the doors on a Soarer are unlike any other car I've ever seen/driven. The hinges wouldn't look out of place on an aeroplane. The engineering and build quality on Soarers is fantastic and, in my opinion, better than any other car I've owned. A lot of people have mistaken the car for new.
  14. Thanks Kieran (again!!). And another question .... what brightness? 7200mcd, 10000mcd ... or something else?
  15. I've just put my TT into storage for the winter and I've decided to have a go at the blue dash conversion while it's off the road. Can someone out there please give me some advice on the type of LEDs to use (???). I've had a look on the Maplins web site and there are a variety of blue LEDs .... diffused, water clear lens, etc. http://www.maplin.co.uk/Search.aspx?criteria=blue%20led&source=15&SD=Y
  16. As soon as I get the spare cash I'm going to get the Laser Park Pro Wireless Laser Park Pro with Cheetah Sentinel http://www.speedsafe.co.uk/category.php?id=42 Also have a look here http://www.ukspeedtraps.co.uk/cheetahsent.htm and more general info here http://www.ukspeedtraps.co.uk/cheetahsent.htm
  17. Original black (fantastic condition) Full leather Custom stainless exhaust 18" custom alloys Boost gauge HKS induction kit After market TEIN coilovers Insurance approved immobiliser Turbo timer TV & MP3 player De-limited New tyres MPH conversion Pre-emptive blinky dash fix Power seats Power mirrors Front strut brace, etc. Non ageing plate Long MOT Garaged and off road for last four months Serviced just before going into storage Fully synth Amsoil New fuel and oil filters New pads all round One of the best, if not the best, in the UK. PM me for 'phone number.
  18. My JSpec TT has a warning flare but no brackets to mount it in the passenger footwell. It looks like it had brackets before I got it. I'm trying to get the car as close to original spec as possible so brackets would be good. Sellotape doesn't really do it justice . Anybody got a spare set? Yes, I know flares are illegal in the UK
  19. Problem is I can't even find a footwell light ... even with the help of a torch (hiten55).
  20. Should my '95 JSpec RZ have a footwell light? I've looked but I can't find one.
  21. Boring ... exceptionally boring so far .. and the little bloke looks soooo gay.
