  1. Interlude ... we've just started an Indian takeaway (Bangladeshi actually) and the starter wasn't very good. The poppadoms tasted of fish.
  2. I was going to reply with a Maddie joke ... but I won't.
  3. I need the plugs/clips/stud things that keep the plastic trim in place in both footwells. One for each side needed ... they were missing when I got the car.
  4. It's gonna be #1,000,001 ... we'll still be posting this time next Christmas.
  5. Heading towards Armagh at 3 (ish).
  6. I've just ordered, and fitted, a pair of replacement BA9S bulbs in place of the original courtesy light bulbs and they work fine. At a quid per bulb (or less) you'll be really pushing the boat out for your mate's Crimbo present. He'll be well chuffed.
  7. I've earthed it and it works. Hurrah.
  8. EL-GLO dials ........ no thanks. They're a bit too bling for me.
  9. Might be useful for spares or replacements.
  10. I've just fitted a DVD player to the car but there's a slight hitch. It will play DVD soundtracks but doesn't display the video. I think this might be because I didn't connect up the parking sensor wire from the unit to the handbrake wiring harness. Arse!! If I connect the wire a ground source will this solve the problem or do I need to do something else? I don't want to connect it to the handbrake, partly because I never use it.
  11. The LED conversion probably cost me £20-£30 quid for the parts but I bought too much as there was a bit of trial and error. I've still got lots of bits left over . The DDX-6029 cost £330 + £20 carriage to Northern Ireland (a tenner to the mainland). It opens without any problems but I haven't tried it with the gear lever in 'park' as it looks a bit tight.
  12. First of all a big thanks to hecker, Mike M and konio-nt. I've converted my dash lights, installed a Kenwood DDX-6029 double DIN DVD unit, added a footwell light, changed the courtesy lights to blue bulbs and fixed the ashtray light (thanks Homer). Pics below ... not great quality but you get the idea: New footwell light bulb Courtesy lights
