  7. so this is a delayed update bled the coolant properly, ran it up to temp and chcecked all fluid levels set of led headlight bulbs and 501 sidelight bulbs 220 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr 221 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr back on the road it's one week in, i've driven the car gently to bed in the new clutch and so on loving it! then the first day out for some road testing after a few jobs were finished i managed to take a blurry pic... 222 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr so the door speakers had always annoyed me as i knew they needed replaced bought some of these on ebay, 30 quid and they are 350mm deep which suits the surpa door cards nicely 223 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr 224 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr 225 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr finished the vacuum lines and had to get a few extra fittings from demon tweeks, main one i was stuck for was a 8-6mm adapter for the fuel breather 226 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr 227 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr battery system is charging perfectly the gauges were a good investment, the oil temp sits at a safe 90 degrees and the oil pressure is around 2 bar when warm 228 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr here's the mileage, this is after 100km running in so just for reference that's the shell mileage during conversion, car still in km's and it'll remain that way 229 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr water temp also sits bang on where it should 230 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr delighted 231 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr under the bonnet is also a great place to be now haha 232 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr this is the oil i run all my cars on, the nissan and the supra both get this stuff 233 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr
  8. soooooooooooooo insured it, tomorrow morning is my first drive to work in the car and technically my first road test haha, wish me luck tomorrow after I finish working i'll be spending some of my afternoon finishing the remaining jobs on the car connect up the boost guage change the power source for the oil gauges connect the gbox speed sensor and reverse switch as that part of the loom is tied up in engine bay check all the levels again fit spark plug cover I need to work out how to fit my boost controller bleed valve with the twins
  9. welded cam gear, new Toyota oem timing belt, tensioner, pulley set 99 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr brand new water neck with an6 feed added 92 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr new oil squirters 91 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr new gaskets, coolant/cam/crank sensors etc 90 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr Toyota parts 89 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr gasket set 88 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr 86 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr brand new crank pulley 87 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr arp head studs used 93 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr 114 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr - - - Updated - - - 117 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr 121 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr 122 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr 148 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr 158 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr ------------------------- so where I'm standing right now is I have more than 10 grand sunk into an engine in a car that is currently not moving and won't be going anywhere anytime soon due to insurance costs etc etc as moving house is my priority for this year for my family the engine was ran in on a dyno with correct oil changes using run in oil, then changed over to the oil in above photograph and changed again it's currently done around 800 miles in total I'd say, since mapping has been finished I've done one drift day in the car on wastegate pressure at 1 bar, it made minimium 400 and something bhp on wastegate pressure at 1.6 bar of boost it's over 600 and something we reckon, couldn't tell due to wheel spinning and was going to go back to dyno with big 305 tyres on but never got a chance last year before insurance expired I'm just trying to get the feelers out there, I don't actually want to sell this as i've built my dream car/combo but if it basically means I can nail my solicitor fees then i'll be happy and can always do this in the future especially with my experience now it's a basically brand new engine, every sensor and every gasket/component was brand new the price for the tall block inc intake manifold and 90mm throttle body will be £7500 o.n.o tall block being, sump, block, head and intake manifold only. I know I'm going to get an absolute kicking from the forum for asking that price but I am unfortunately in a position where I have to sell....so meh take from that what you will. I will do a full list when I get a chance including things like £150 powdercoated rocker covers etc etc, consider the amount of money spent on this and the Toyota invoices.... happy for compression tests and stuff to be done, it has never overheated etc during my time and on the track day I went to without a thermostat it got nowhere dangerous it won't include the turbo setup/injectors/ecu as they are staying for the next jz i'll throw back in there in a year or so. this will fit in a mkiv nicely with some mods and could easily take on a big turbo for those 1000hp supra builds haha
  10. ** I will add the template shortly, can't copy paste just now. this is purely testing the water, I am looking to move house and solicitor fees after selling etc are insane, looking to get some money back towards them so me and the wife can downsize our house the engine is a 1.5jz engine, 2jz block 1jz gte head, front sump it is insane, nothing sounds like it, the car has the most incredible note and just has to be heard in person to appreciate so the head: 1jz gte soarer head FULLY BUILT brett sims motorsport full port job inc chamber balancing, opened up as much as it can go (£1500) bc 264 camshafts and adjustable gears, valve bucket shims setup correctly by bret sims (£1000) bc titanium retainers and valve springs (conceptua £300 ish) Toyota engine gasket set inc new valve stem seals and every head seal replaced (£300) 102 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr 101 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr 94 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr the block: 2jz ge from mkiv supra, machined out for gte oil squirters and turbo oil feeds (£300 in machine work for oil passageways to open up) DY engine services block (around £3500) wossner forged pistons zrp rods new bearings and arp bolts crank balanced 86.5mm oversized to allow perfect seal on rings with new engine block hot tanked and acid bathed decked surface, correctly machined - - - Updated - - - 106 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr 107 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr 110 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr new oil pump Toyota, ported out inside too 111 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr 109 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr - - - Updated - - - 108 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr new Toyota oem water pump, custom pipework to make the 1.5 head setup fit 100 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr
  11. well insurance is starting on the car next month now so that's pretty exciting done a few small bits over the weekend, led headlight bulbs are now in, whifbitz expansion tank is now in also but that's up the side of the battery now rather than behind the headlight as the bulbs have big cooling units on the back of them still have a few odd jobs left to finish on the car but it's getting there! I reckon another evening of work and it'll be fully road ready again then I can start looking at single turbo manifolds and some gtx or precision 6266 goodness
  12. Item:- aristo jzs161 twin turbo vvti non Immobilizer ecu Condition/Mileage:- good, mileage unknown Price:- 130 Postage:- free Pictures:- currently have this up on ebay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/253478411742?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649&clk_rvr_id=1464268778123&rmvSB=true Original toyota part number: 89661-3A470 Recently bought this as a spare from a guy that had imported a jzs161 aristo from Japan. It's a 2gte twin turbo vvti aristo ecu. The important bit, NON Immobilized. This means plug and play. These are harder to find now. Especially in the USA They are selling for around 350$ It's sold as spare as I don't need it anymore, I bought two as I was stuck waiting because customs held it for so long It was never tested by me but was removed from a running car. Opened it up and all capacitors are dry so no leaks to repair. I believe this also works with the jza80 supra so could be an option for the mkiv guys too
  13. sold sorry I do have a wiring loom and ecu from a manual n/a for sale though
  14. haha, I'm sure a plain supra 2j with bolt ons would get boring after 5 minutes compared to your car :p
  15. ok, should I just email you and you can invoice my paypal?
  16. put the new clutch master cylinder in, unfortuantely the original male nut on the pipe had a flat thread right at the begining rather than wreck the new aluminium threads inside the cylinder i decided to make a small joining piece with two brand new nuts on the end this way it screwed in with ease and had no issues and if it was going to destroy a thread when tightened up it would have only wrecked the female nut on my small copper pipe worked perfectly and holds pressure with no leaks 211 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr feed pipe to slave from hose made up and bled clutch system to gain a fully operational pedal 212 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr rolled outside for the first wash in a while 213 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr replaced all 3 spark plug connectors and a length of the looms to each one, they had gone brittle and hard with heat causing cracking/green corrosion on a few of the cables 214 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr ran wires for oil pressure and temp gauge to sensors on the dash for my own reference here really...ignore this bit red/black wires going into cab go to gauges, red is oil temp to gauge green input wire, black is oil pressure to gauge green input wire on oil pressure sensor at sandwich plate, wk stamped is ground, g stamped (tipexed white) is to black wire to gauge green input wire nearly ready to start 215 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr renewed the gasket between the turbo oil return Y pipe and the sump, i had used an old one when assembling with some instant gasket, it had a slight damp oil mark around the bottom was enough for me to take advantage of dry pipes just now before engine was running old one off, new one in package beneath from toyota 216 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr tested out reverse light wiring to make sure the new led bulbs worked 218 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr was waiting for around 10 days for customs to release my aristo ecu finally got here 217 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr plugged it in, cranked for oil pressure and checked gauge, all is well then first turn of the key: delighted then this happened: now moved away from the workshop so it's not in the way, it'll be stored for a short while until i can get my insurance and stuff sorted out, we are down to one wage at the minute as the wifes off work for a few months so it isn't priority to fire alot of money into insurance just now at least i know it runs sweet, i need to make sure the battery system is charging correctly, i had 12.5v on my multimeter but the battery had sat around for a while and had been cranked for oil pressure checks 219 by Jonny McIntosh, on Flickr still got a jobs list to do before it goes on the road interior: fuel pump 12v constant mod at ecu boot wires secure aristo ecu into holder beneath dash rpm gauge to remove resistor in chip board to work with aristo igniter readings check batt light wiring under bonnet: carbon can hose boost gauge t piece tidy up wiring and secure loom add more earth points extend gearbox loom so speedo reaches secure lambda sensor wiring loom protect coolant top hose against rubbing fan shroud bleed coolant, check thermostat opens box propshaft seal replacement
  17. how high do they usually spike with a 3" decatted exhaust and a restrictor plate anyway? I'm quite keen to get one as my car is not on the road yet but I can see the first thing to happen is fuel cut due to all the bpu stuff I've done and no restrictions in the exhaust system delivery price to Aberdeen Scotland please
  18. interested, what boost pressure/voltage does the sensor clamp the reading at? the ecu is programmed to fuel cut at 1 bar isn't it? I've just put my car together, factory twins vvti engine and a full 3" exhaust, I have a whifbitz restrictor ring in the exhaust so is it likely i'll need to add your fuel cut prevention sensor into the ecu loom?
  19. Item:- 2jz ge mkiv manual ecu and loom Condition/Mileage: 130k Price:- £230 Postage: delivered in the uk at 230 pics will be uploaded shortly 2jz ge loom and ecu ecu is a manual factory w58 ecu
