  1. UK spec manual 6sp TT 100,000 miles, no mods, completely stock - £8995
  2. Given my very limited knowledge when it comes to cars, I'm wondering if someone here might be able to point me in the right direction? Having looked at a Soop yesterday, I was a little concerned to see as much oil on the underside (see pix below) as I did. Before I pay someone to carry out an independant inspection on the car, thought I might see if anyone here wants to make a guess as to what would cause it? Would you run a mile, or is it still worth me getting it checked over? Other than that, it's a nice car... ...Any advice appreciated! http://slyspark.mywebpro.co.uk/clients/56/albums/Resized/600/9642.jpg?rnd= http://slyspark.mywebpro.co.uk/clients/56/albums/Resized/600/9641.jpg?rnd=

  5. Before I started my own company, I'd often pop out to the car for my hours lunch break and have a half hour nap. As I had to start early every day, was always a little tired and the lunch time nap was my way of having a much more awake and alert afternoon. Also, whth a compulsary hours lunch break and only needing 15 mins to have somethiong to eat, the other 45 mins were boring, so was a good way of getting through it. I can see that falling asleep behind ur desk / on the sofa in reception / in an empty office could well look bad to visitors or other staff, this was the reason I always went and slept in my car. Was also much more peaceful there!
  6. I couldn't agree more!
  7. Well, like I say, those are only preferences, none of that is set in stone, anything considered, as long as it's a turbo, that's the only requirement I really have.
  8. Cheers for that Scooter! Ideally, looking for something along the lines of: 3L TT, Ideally manual (6) UK spec, but as I know these are harder to come by, I'd be happy with an auto, also happy with a J-spec. Preference colour wise would be silver or black, tho I'd consider other colours too. Ideally, the Supe will have a body kit - the Bomex ones are quite nice... ...something along those lines anyways. Rather have the standard rear spoiler too, I don't like the larger ones as much. Finally, I've got a max budget of £8k, so something at this sort of price or under (slightly under would be nice so I can actually spend some money playing about with it a bit) Hope that helps?
  9. Anyone local interested in the above??
  10. Agreed - I hate that man! Wish someone would try cillit bang out on him and see if he vanishes as fast as the dirt in the ads supposedly does!
  11. Cool idea! If anyone is interested, maybe they could reply here or PM me? More than happy to provide lunch and of course cover the cost of fuel, etc! Anyone fancy helping out at all plz? cheers
  12. Well, to be honest, only reason I started looking at dealers who had soops for sale was that most are happy to offer me part-x on the car I have at the moment, as I really don't have time right now to get into the whole 'selling old car' thing.
  13. Off to look at a couple of Supras this week and with any luck will find something I like! I've had a read of the buying guide on here to help me along a bit, but I'm certainly no car expert! Whilst the guide is very informative and I can see it being very useful, can anyone suggest anything else that might be worth watching out for? Also, plan on having an independant inspection carried out on anything before I buy it, but they cost and I can't afford to do this to every car I look at, so I need some way of narrowing down those I look at to a few potential cars which I can then get checked out. Finally, any ideas where is best to get a car data check done and what info do I need to get from the car I look at in order to get one done. In the past none of this has never been a problem as I've always purchased brand new cars direct from the dealer, so have had no need to do any of the above, but now I have my heart set on a soop, I'm gonna have to! Any tips and / or advice very much appreciated! Cheers, Rich.
  14. cool, thanx for the welcome everyone! Never imagined there'd be so many ppl in my area on here! Just need to get me a soop now and get out there with it
  15. What a shame! Thankfully that won't be a problem for me, as there's just me to think about. I don't even need it to drive to work in or anything, as I have a works vehicle for that, so I can use it purely to have fun in and enjoy driving! I just need to find one first... Seriously tho, if anyone has a Supra for sale: mkIV, 3L TT, Manual OR Auto, Veilside (or similar) body kit, Ideally in Quicksilver or black that's in GOOD condition, then drop me a line, Ideally after a UK spec manual, but to be honest an Auto / J-spec would also do just fine...
  16. Hehe, might just have to do that! Mind if I ask why you got rid of urs?
  17. Ah well, such is life - would explain why I'd not seen it for a little while, I've driven round the office park a few times now looking for it too - figured whoever owned it might have gone on holiday or something Ah well, fingers crossed I'll have my own one very soon!
  18. Yup, that'll be the one - I live right opposite the entrance to the office park - used to watch out for it every day... ...the more I saw it, the more I want one! Shame, gave me something exciting to look at in an otherwise dull road! Hehe, maybe the tables will soon be turned and he'll have to look at mine every day!
  19. Cool, looks like there are a few ppl around here then, which is good! Maybe I've seen some of you driving around? Maybe even ur the guy who works in the office park over the road from my house and drives past every day in that lovely silver soop? If so, I'm well jealous... ...Every time I see that car, I just want one more and more!
  20. Yep, one thing for sure is it will be a twin turbo.... ....cool, might just have to take you up on that!
  21. This is one VERY useful guide - been taking it with me when looking for a new Supra, Invaluable to anyone who maybe isn't that hot on what to look for... Cheers!
  22. I'm in Godalming (a little, out of the way kind of place that no-one's ever heard of!) Just down the road from Guildford...
  23. Hey everyone! New member here from Surrey! Not got my Supra yet, but well down the road to buying one, got some test drives lined up this week, which is cool! Been toying with the idea of getting one now for a while, finally decided to get shot of my new, sensible car and go for it - you only live once after all! Can't think of a car I'd rather own, they just look so stunning! Anyways, hopefully a few other ppl on here in my neck of the woods - any tips & advice much appreciated! Rich
