Cheers guys, nice to see so much love for the Wagan lol. I'm still not sure what to do with the car to be honest, I can't see it getting much use next year but putting it up for sale this time of year is pointless. If it was to be sold I would rather it went as a complete car so the turbos had to be done really. Nothing has changed so I doubt it will go back on the dyno but I will get Ryan to check it over in the new year. It is, your right but it wont be the car that stops me it will be the wife inconsiderately giving birth on that date!
-
Turbos are back. One has had an overhaul, new seals ect and the bad one has had all new genuine internals. Total cost of approx £800. I didn't want to go messing with them too much as the set up worked great as they were and made more than enough power. I will give them a quick polish up and get them back on over Christmas, get the Wangan back to her old self.
-
All good thanks but no news on the turbos yet I'm afraid, probably shouldn't of told them I wasn't in a hurry for them lol. I'll give them a call when I get a chance.
-
No not yet, I've been very busy with work and not had a chance to chase them. I did tell them I was in no rush as they were very busy. I'll give them a call next week and see where they are with them.
-
The turbos are currently with CR Turbo just down the road from me, real nice guys in there and the do a lot of the SVM stuff. Their going to inspect them and give me some rebuild options and costs, should know more in a few days.
-
Lol, the wife is fine about the car she doesn't really want me to get rid of it as she knows I'll be a miserable sod if I do... yes more than normal... DB is one of the main reasons I want to keep the car but even if I keep it our baby is due early June again so It will be a bit hit and miss. I really should learn to keep it in my pants in August!
-
Shhh... I might be on to something here. I appriceate people's kindness and generosity, this really is more of a family than a forum sometimes but like Kaan said it's more of a priority thing.
-
Thanks for the kind comments guys, your all just reiterating the reason why I never wanted to break this car. Hopefully like Sukhy said, I'm just having a case of the winter blues. Thanks Peter, I will keep the thread update with the rebuild cost. I did kinda ask for that one. Yeah that is ideally what I need to do if I'm going to keep the car but if I decide it needs to go regardless of the turbo failure it doesn't make financial sense to sink more money into it just to sell it complete. Not that any part of modifying cars makes financial sense.

I know I only have myself to blame for this but please do not send me PM's for parts.
-
Since you've jumped the gun your now band from buying any parts...
-
Lmao, I'm sure Jamsey will appreciate a poker dot redesign to the No-Luck. Like I said mate I'm not going to rush into anything, It's winter so it can be put to one side for now.
-
Why... so you can get a black one.
-
I'm undecided what to do at the moment but if I do decide to let it go I would need to see 28K to make it worth not breaking it which is why I can see that breaking would be my only option. Yeah I know, it totals well in excess of 30k in parts. I'm not going to rush into anything but just wanted to weigh up my options.
-
Well the turbos are off and the damage is minimal, the exhaust wheel is still attached and shows no sign of damage so I'm happy no other damage has been caused elsewhere. I'm going to send them off to be inspected etc and get a quote for a rebuild. On the flip side, I found myself make a breaking list last night whist crying into my dinner lol. I know nobody wants to see this car broken, least of all me... but If I decide not to go any further with it, it will be my only option unfortunately.
-
Yeah I noticed that and was a bit suspicious so took it easy on the way home but It only got me half way before it gave up.
-
Yeah absolutely, family first... but the car comes a very close second. I wont be leaving it too long, if I don't think I can get the car together for next year it will have to go. ... bitch!
-
Cheers guys, it could be worse and things like this are bound to happen when running this sort of power. Not sure what's next to be honest. I'll take them off and see how much damage has been done. It feels like the exhaust wheel is still attached so fingers crossed its not gone any further than just the turbo. I'd want to keep this set up as I love the way the car drove. If they can be rebuilt I will do them both to keep the balance right but I'm undecided on what to do at the moment as I've spend a fortune on the car this year and with another baby around the corner I'm not sure I can justify it.

So... had a bit of an issue driving home from Japshow yesterday, some funny noises and no boost. Was hoping I'd just popped a pipe off but it looks a little more terminal than that...

7:15 at Toddington it is then, see you there.

Few pics from the Dragonball trip last month. Had an awesome time with great friends and some epic driving involved, it was good to do one with less cars as it had a more relaxed feel. Looking forward to the next one if I can make it as the wife is pregnant with our second child and It's due right around the end of May... Deja Vu!! Really should of thought about what I was doing at the time! Evidence that my car does get dirty... sometimes And the result of a small stone hitting the windscreen...

Well I'd normally go M3 A34 etc from where I am but if people are meeting at toddlington services I can easily go M3 M25 M1 etc, which would be easier for picking you up. Crowthorne isn't that far off the M3, I don't mind a little detour to pick you up. I'll see how work is tomorrow, try and sort the car out and let you know for sure.
-
Yeah I can pick you up if you want, your up near beconsfield M40 aren't you? I just need to make sure I can get the car ready in time first as I've not cleaned it since Dragonball lol.
-
Has anybody got a club stand pass they don't need? Might be able to make this now.

R888's, it'll only be showers and you'll wish you had the 888's when it's dry. -
Yeah would of been nice to get a clean run. Was 50% mix. I don't know, didn't bother looking as we couldn't get a clean run.
