  1. This will potentially be removed from my car in the next month or so as I've finally managed to sourced myself a new V161 after months of searching the world! I've not received my new box yet but provided it get here safely, this will be for sale. It's a V160 from a 1995 car with approximately 60k miles, it will be sold as just the bare Gearbox. It does however crunch 4th gear at high RPM, driving normally it's fine so I suspect this to be a slight issue with 4th gear synchro. Now I've been searching around for months on these gearboxes, they are commanding a premium and becoming very difficult to source and at quite a risk second hand due to their age. With all this in mind I will be looking for £2800 for this gearbox and will be collection only from either Bournemouth or SRD. I may be able to personally deliver half way depending on where your coming from. Open to sensible offers. SOLD
  2. Yeah sorry stock one, am I correct in thinking they would be v161 shifters if they are new? They don't make the 160 shifter anymore, it's slightly shorter than the 161 shifter.
  3. Looking for an OEM V160 shifter. Anybody have one they would consider selling?
  4. Don't suppose you can find where you'd seen this can you?
  5. Thanks but I'm currently trying to source a brand new one now but no one has any left!
  6. Anybody else have any leads to sourcing a new one?
  7. Funnily enough there was one sold the other day that the guy had knocking about for a couple of years so stranger things have happened. I'm already in contact with Import Car Parts, thank you. Would love to get my hands on a new V161 at a sensible price but it's not looking good.
  8. Ah man, I'd of had that. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?331475-V160-161-gearbox
  9. Don't be sorry, your just being your usual useful self... as useful as a one armed trapeze artist with an itchy arse Yeah i'm speaking to Jurgen. Yeah had a look on there but most want very strong money for them and with shipping it just kills it.
  10. Looking for a V160/161 Gearbox. Anyone know of one or have one knocking around they would consider selling?
  11. Ha I was thinking the same, the only one that doesn't look right is the all gunmetal. It's gonna be a difficult decision that's for sure.
  12. Broomie your a legend, thank you All gold does look good. Umm decisions...
  13. Yeah I think Gunmetal will look good but may be a little plain, I'm teetering towards gold I think but not sure wether to keep the lip polished or not. Anybody able to help me out if you get a minute, would be much appreciated.
  14. As great as they look, I'm finally loosing the will to live with the fully polished wheels so would it be possible for one of our photoshop gurus to do me a small favour and change the colour of my wheels to some of the following options; All gold Gold with polished lip All gunmetal Gunmetal with polished lip I know there's likly to be a lot of opposition to this but it's just a exercise to see what it would look like... The car originally came with gold BBS wheels from Japan and I've always loved the black and gold look.
  15. They look great Ellis, might have to get myself one... The one that got away.
  16. It doesn't need to be wet for that to happen, you not seen Jamesy's driving...
  17. Lmao, well that escalated quickly! Thanks for the back up, you guys crack me up... Apart from Jamesy, he's just a pleb. Probably best to give it a trim when you get a minute mate lol, cheers.
  18. Thanks Ant. No problem, look forward to seeing yours when you get it back.
  19. Thanks, the DRL's are made by RING but I can't remember which model they are unfortunately.
  20. I was just about to say yes then! lol Cheers, your still welcome to pop over anytime just give me a shout.
  21. Lol, full boost or not at all...
  22. Cheers. Um... maybe... If someone was seriously interested and willing to make a good serious offer I would defiantly consider it.
  23. Ha only just seen this, think I look more concerned that your taking a picture of me lol. Thanks for the kind comments guys, appreciate it. The car had no major issues from its check over at SRD so it was just an oil and filter, fuel filter change, Etc. We also replaced the ASNU 1000cc injectors for some 1100cc's and changed the Walbro 400 fuel pumps for some 485's as I was getting close to their limit and had a very slight fuel pressure drop off at high boost on my last mapping session. This has sorted the issue as the car has been back on the dyno and the fueling is spot on. I'm taking the car to Abbey Motorsport on their hub dyno on the 30th for a bit ethanol mapping now the fueling is better. We didn't get much of a power increase last time with ethanol as the turbos a pretty much maxed out but I couldn't get a decent figure as it was spinning on the rollers. I'm not expecting miracles but it will be nice to see if It does any better than it's last hub dyno figure of 765hp. The car has had it's annual epic OCD clean, I won't go into detail with pics as it has all been covered previously in the thread and most of you know just how involved I get with cleaning lol. All ready for Dragonball next month and I don't even know if i'm going yet!
