Not sure if this is going to be possible but would any of you photoshop gurus be able to make the spark plug cover black with red writing and attach it to my engine.
-
Not sure I'm gonna be parting with this bonnet I'm afraid mate, It's unique and I like things like that. He was a nutter. He wasn't taking anything less and I was getting fed up with trying to find a mint set, Their not easy to come by in this condition.
-
Bugger off you bloody vulture! It's not for sale yet but if I do decide to sell I'll let you know.
-
Thanks for the kind comments guys, really appreciate it. I've just purchased these from Dnk. I do like the carbon cover I currently have but I'm thinking these would look good in 202 black to match the engine covers, possibly with red writing.

Quick pic of the new ASNU 1000cc injectors fitted. very impressed with them, they have absolutely transformed the drive of the car. FAO Rob Mitchell. I now have gold in my engine bay, Can I be in your gang?
-
thanks guys. Ryan always looks shifty, lol. All he did was moan how cold he was on Monday, we even had to fire up the paraffin heater for him! Serves him right for lording it up in Dubai. Certainly is Mario, It's a bit of an animal.

Cheers guys. The drive home was great fun, the car is stupid fast and drives really smooth now with the new injectors. Very surprised at the extra power it made. I was happy with the 700hhp it made last time, anything extra was just a bonus. Just want to say a massive thank you to Lee at SRD for his hospitality over the last few days. No issues today mate, all was good. The turbos wont go any further. My aim for the build was a 750bhp street set up so at over 800bhp I'm more than happy with the result. Thanks Adam, was good to see you today. Was certainly a fun trip home!
-
The car has made 765hp at the hubs at 1.8 bar. Great result.
-
Thanks Adam, Its shouldn't make much more than the 700hhp last time as the turbos wont take much more but it was dialled back slightly last time because of the fuel pressure dropping off so who knows.
-
Cheers Rob. Shame you cant make it over. The car is now road mapped and the 1000cc ASNU injectors have done the trick for a much smoother drive, its totally transformed the car. there was a slight issue with a misfire which turned out to be the spark plugs which have now been changed. Off to Abbey Motorsport in the morning for a slightly more aggressive mapping session on their hub dyno. Let see what power we can squeeze out the car with the second fuel pump fitted.
-
Lol. The main reason is so I can have Ryan in the passenger seat whilst I'm driving to get the car set up on the road how I want it. As for the dyno on Wednesday, I'll just shut my eyes with my fingers in my ears! Thanks Gaz, It is a shame you didn't go for the bumper in the end but I wont rub it in by saying it was in great condition and most likely genuine.
-
Lol, wondered how long it would be before you noticed that.

Update: The car is currently at SRD and is now fitted with new fuel lines, twin Walbro 400lph fuel pumps and a set of ASNU 1000cc injectors. I've decided to go with the ASNU injectors over the ID1000 on Lee/Ryans recommendation, they seem to have a better spay pattern and it will be good to see how they perform. The car is being road mapped on Mon/Tue and is going on the hub dyno on Wednesday along with a few other cars being mapped at the same time. I've taken the week off and decided to book a room near SRD for a couple of days so I can be involved in the mapping and annoy Lee and Ash on a daily basis.

Fantastic work as always Simon. Love what you've done with the front end and number plate location. Also love the Daw Luck bonnet, very tempted by one of these. Really need to get some paint done on my car soon.
-
Think you should stick with the Advans Adam, the classics look crap!
-
They came in approx 30% cheaper than all other company's stated on a mates Evo with an agreed value. It might be worth the hassle Mark. I'm curtainly gonna give them a go when my renewal is due.
-
Try "Need to Insure" Mark. They've been very competitive recently.
-
My arches are flared but I think the wheels would of been ordered for stock body. The CCW 505's are a lovely wheel, in fact I wouldn't say no to any of the wheels CCW make.
-
Thanks Jamesy, Hopefully the Do-Luck and Wangan will meet at an event this year.
-
Thanks Simon. Not 100% sure on the offset, I'll try and have a look and see if it's stamped on the wheel somewhere. I am running a 10mm spacer. Its not actually needed to clear the brakes anymore as I'm running J-Spec brakes but their needed to fill the rear arch flare. The previous owner had large rear brakes which needed a 15mm spacer to clear, the arches were then flared to accommodate this. When I fitted J-spec brakes I tried it without a spacer and the wheel didn't fill the arches very well so I decided to add the smallest spacer I could get away with. Also installed ARP wheel studs for piece of mind. This is with no spacer. This is with a 10mm spacer.
-
Thanks guys. Their 17x11.5" with a 315/35/17 tyre. It's a great road set up for traction.
-
Cheers, Yeah the rear arches have been flared slightly.
-
Got to agree with you there, the Supra has so much more presents. The dyno print out on the previous page was from the old set up. Current print out is on page 27. Been in line for a while now Rob. It's only a few hours work don't panic.

Got the car out for It's MOT today (Passed as always:)) so I thought I'd take some pictures while it's out. Unfortunately only had the IPhone. Also took the car for a good run as the weather was great today. The injectors, fuel lines and extra fuel pump will be done this month ready for yet another mapping session in early March.
