  1. I was quoted 2300 euro for the PS2000 fitted/mapped with a patch harness , if I wanted additional sensors like Boost, knock, Lambda and oil pressure it was extra I reckon this will come in the 1800 euro mark

  3. Supra Specialists Ireland , had a few rebuilt; its not the cost of the rebuild or the complexity of the gearbox, it is the parts prices and availability of them BMW M5, Skyline and Supra all run a 6 speed Getrag but I think the confusion is , it lends you to believe parts between these boxes are interchangeable but each gearbox was tailored to each car , mass production of interchangeable parts is just not there
  4. Sorry Chris , not saying you take the plunge , just saying as a owner it is a viable option; you would need a large market base like the US for it to be a viable option to warrant investment
  5. True , but when parts for the Getrag cease if they have not already, these kits will not be short runs Tremec is a high volume gearbox, so parts are easily got and cheap ; you can also get them in 5 Speed
  6. BMW gearboxes will be beyond their threshold at BPU power levels, the amount of Failures M3 stock cars are having ,once out of warranty is forcing owners to seek more affordable solutions than the eye watering bill to fox a DCT/SMG box ; reason why Ebay is flooded with them
  7. Is there a more cost effective solution, like installing a Tremec Gearbox ? you can get these for 2-2.5K , parts are cheap due to high volume manufacturing They are in OEM cars like the Hellcat, LS powered cars so are designed to take 700 ft lb torque They never took off in the Supra market due to the loss in revenue companies will make on their **Uprated** OEM Supra Gearboxes ; you can only charge so much for an adapter plate I read the 7 speed manual Tremec in the new Z06 is suppose to be fantastic TR-6070 7-Speed RWD Manual Transmission found in the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 TR-3160 6-Speed RWD Manual Transmission found in the Cadillac ATS-V coupe TR-6060 6-Speed RWD Manual Transmission found in the Dodge Viper ACR TR-3160 6-Speed RWD Manual Transmission found in the Ford Shelby GT350R Mustang Cheaper option Chris , create an adapter plate for a Tremec

  12. Tough Crowd! STW Supra & Rocket bunny Kit Dismissed LOL Its good to see companies are still fabricating parts for the Supra
  13. http://thesuprablog.com/2015/07/17/rocket-bunny-jza80/
  14. Something Different I cannot comprehend why put so much work into the bodywork and carbonfiber dress up parts when it will be destroyed in the pointless act of drifting Nice to see the Supra is not dead yet

  17. Not as good as 2soops but not bad
  18. Everything will be fnished on her hopefully this week, last of the black Friday parts getting installed , 12 months sitting in my room Black Friday again this week so who knows LOL Everything from all new OEM suspension , to new drive chain, Cams, valve stem seals, oil / water pumps,Crank, vernier to Aux pulleys and billet dress up parts fitted All I can really do now is single kit and ECU but thats $$$ commitment Syvecs S6Plus and Whifbitz EFR Turbo kit would be nice! Changing the Car from OEM and loosing a Matching Numbers car also is holding me back
  19. S6 plus but depends on price
  20. Waiting for Dane to do a black friday sale , get some more goodies
  21. hi Chris did you post up some docs , on the latest advancements in tech?
  22. You are as bad as me, think you have your phr pulleys since last years Black Friday [emoji14] mine are only installed too
  23. The workshop manual may not indicate the part needs to be replaced for X mileage or time , if the part has failed within its service life and the manufacturer knew the part is faulty and should be replaced to meet its design purpose Yes I would expect compensation, it was up to the manufacturer to replace this part at the next service or recall the car But service history of the car does come into it , maybe they did not have a chance ; only the OP knows But based whats in the press lately about VAG, they arent going to get any awards anytime soon
  24. Gaz there is a Difference between a Car part breaking and a Car part not fit for the purpose intended , manufacturer knowingly not replacing the faulty part I would be pee'd off , you paid for a product fit for purpose Seems to be a common trend with newer cars , profit margins are tight and items are designed within tight thresholds to coincide an expiring service life just after the warranty runs out
