  1. Dont know if this is any use , first check of the contact pattern , OsGiken installed running on the inside edge , it is spot on center after a few tweaks (no pics though)
  2. Car is nearly there , maybe Mr Wilson will have some insight On further investigation it appears the bearings where not changed , rust on the race bearing after 150 miles! All new bearings installed again SSI(Supra Specialists Ireland) currently have it, Colin is doing great work getting it setup ; I have done enough reading up on how to install, Shim, set the backlash , preload to be confident he knows what he is doing. Colin said diff is spot on , backlash , preload tolerances , Bearings are all quiet on the ramp, on quick road test slight gear noise on light load on acceleration but he wants to put some mileage on it , if it was on overrun , this would mean the pinion is trying to catch up and the preload is set too tight , new crush washer , start again! Gear was running on a different spot on tooth, would have worn that tooth, the tooth pattern is spot on when built back up, backlash was 0.10, max is 0.14, min is 0.08 We think the pinion needs to bed in on the ring gear, a bit of lap on it from mileage should do it , ring gear and pinion would wear a bit over the years , after some mileage he will take her back out and check tolerances again (40-50 miles), check oil of any metal ; go from there but it is difficult to tell if a ring gear or pinion is FUBAR ; worst case new ring gear and pinion Chris , if you have any taughts on this be much appreciated , I would rather be confident everything in there is ok , than take a chance at damaging the Diff and bearings again; Would you recommend a new ring gear and pinion?
  3. Thanks, great to know! Taught they would be running a modern Bosch ECU!
  4. Sorry few Q's Whats the difference between an Oil breather and Oil catch tank ? what is the snout on that oil breather 50mm in diameter, thats huge no? The temp stickers on Brembo calipers on the Mercedes in your pics , would the guys not be running electric temp sensors? Why is Mercedes not running a Bosch ECU over a Motec?

  6. Stunning Pics , was Schumacher there that day?
  7. Jellybean

    Europe

Out , Sterling drops and I can get car parts again
  8. Thanks Chris Between Haltech and Motec , I find it amazing Australian companies are the bench mark; I would expected it to be a company from the EU or US, solely from the racing legacy
  9. Chris , Fraser MacKellar ; I read put Motec on the map in Europe? What is the story behind Dave and Fraser , why are they so highly regarded ?
  10. In the 2nd pic , what is the metal near vertical tube infront of the rear shocks (Center of the chassis) The rods with the sperical bearings that run from the roof to just infront of the rear brake ducts, I presume is for the engine cover ? no structural or suspension support? The wastegate is braced off a similar looking bar
  11. Thanks Just to find nice red rad piping
  12. That's the only V8 Toyota engine code I know lol Will check it out
  13. I wonder what V8 is in there , 2URGSE
  14. Nice group C Toyota getting mapped on a Motec M800 by Dave Rowe https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xpl1/v/t1.0-9/12744098_975190472529583_6310831659609116238_n.jpg?oh=29ecd16b15d9570fde21fde097bca513&oe=5725B5A6&__gda__=1466020394_30787e91a3ef425dc9fb37144adfcaff https://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xlt1/v/t1.0-9/12742073_975190485862915_6075279394585924074_n.jpg?oh=6b824f6b87f612a329ddad083479eb1d&oe=57715E30&__gda__=1465883681_3d2af3264fd12ddfac836e1f0730c702 https://fbcdn-sphotos-e-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xfa1/v/t1.0-9/11205062_975190519196245_4318588673123631391_n.jpg?oh=5d9109a927624560060cef1650f645f6&oe=5769E0AA&__gda__=1461957532_d69637c4a3f16abd41b2dfdb2c0e93ea
  15. Anybody know who sells heat shield hose protection products , tried looking on the traders but could not see anything (The good stuff only) DEI a good Brand? I also want Red Coolant/Vacuum hose , good quality construction and not cheap shiny nasty Silicon
  16. Cool Thanks, what i wanted to hear , it is what put me off the hks turbo kit for the supra
  17. I had a spin in a R34 TO4Z , to say I was disappointed was an understatement ; I found my BPU Supra had more of a kick The car is about 700hp but the power is so linear in delivery , you look down and you are in excess of the speed limit very quickly For me I would like the delivery to be less refined and more of a scare the be-jaysus out of you If I departed with the money it costs to go single and got this, I would of deemed it a complete waste of money There is a Question in here, Due to advancements in technology are Turbo's becoming more refined in how they delivery power, would I be more suited to an old skool setup like a T78 / T51r? I would prefer a more raw experience noise, external wastegates and thump in the back
  18. Mid life crazy crisis and constant trips to the garage with a R34 GTR [emoji23] He likes to live on the edge of financial solvency When it is working , nice place to be , better than my spin killing Prius , chains or chan tensioners are engine out and it's not something you can rush, procedural steps need to be done , 5 her estimate in the workshop manual at 5-6k a pop prior changing anything
  19. I think it's around 70 mile mark but reading up the longitivtiy is due to a few factors , surface quality , driving style and using dynamic mode consistently On all 3 counts I think he is stuffed
  20. http://www.musculardevelopment.com/training/2852-principles-of-mass-construction-by-dorian-yates.html#.VsWfS9UbjCS Dorian has roughly 3g per kg
  21. I was thinking of splitting it out over more days , it's tough going later in the routine when you have thrown around some heavy poundage Might wait till I plateau, so far it's working I have taken the approach of nutrient saturation but Protein wise it's a fine line of spending an expensive time reminiscing on the can multiple times a day Dorian Yates and Arnold have all recommend 2g per kg , along with bcaa throughout the day I think it will keep me feed without completely over saturating my system , will keep an eye on it , and see how my body responds when I exceed 2g per kg
  22. Main dealer told me I would get 60mpg and servicing costs of 159 a year , I feel like I am a Blind Man in a Dark Room Looking for a Black Cat That Is Not There
  23. Not my spicy meatball thank god ! I will stick to my little Toyota , and we think a full suspension refresh is expensive LOL
