  1. Its just on closed loop , needs fuel pulled till ECU goes to Open loop ; I was even contemplating a resistor and switch toggle to the TPS to get her idling on closed loop then once she goes to open loop , toggle the switch off I think HKS IS Fcon might be the most cost effective ECU solution plus no splicing into the harness , just PNP
  2. Part Number: 90903-63001 JPN LB 2JZGTE TWT MTM 6F Toyota Supra 6 Speed Clutch Large Circlip Toyota Supra 6 Speed Clutch Small Circlip 70 GBP
  3. That is true , Sard Analyse ROM , I know it raises boost cut to 1.3 bar and eliminates speed limit, rev limit is standard but what ignition timing was altered if any I could not tell you
  4. She is a JDM car , the cams where dialled in correctly by a Supra specialist , I learned my lesson with guys down south Not too sure if he took the head off , he was doing another too heads when I dropped up to collect mine but all the usual tooling used , DTI guages
  5. Thanks for the help Wez , it would also mean a trip to the UK Was hoping to do something less expensive reason the HKS Fcon IS caught my eye
  6. YES it was done with a DTI gauge
  7. Those gauge art gauges do look nice! But a little bit gimmicky I do like an analogue mechanical gauge , maybe I am getting old
  8. That is true but tomei said they can run like oem on standard ecu only reason I got them , they where on special and I was doing the valve stem seals so why not throw them in Will email Tomei see what they say , but like with everything racecar there is a compromise Other than cold start she is perfect
  9. They are installed, shimmed as per tomei cam card , vernier pulleys are all dialled in
  10. I couldn't see anything a miss plus my mechanic said he is yet to see cams that work with the stock ecu ; he did mention using BC as well, bignum also has the same symtoms as me Maybe if they are set to TDC it may help but then what's the point
  11. S6 + is very pricey , I might as well go motec in that price bracket
  12. Cams have destabilised the idle , she runs a little rich till she gets to 30 degrees temp , stock ecu thinks there is a vacuum leak but once warm it's fine Just a pita from cold and if you are out , you can't just turn the key and go ; need to wait till she warms up But once warm she goes like an antichrist , fuelling is spot on and in my opinion no sacrifice in low down grunt I want to retain sequential setup but make her more drivable from cold
  13. Same here dude , over fuels till warmed up I don't have an AFR gauge but once she is at a temp of about 30 degrees , she runs fine and goes like an antichrist Garage said they checked AFRs
  14. Thanks guys, it's dimitri from Greece who would most likely map it
  15. Why do mechanics replace the Idle air intake hose with a Air filter?
  16. I have Tomei 264 cams installed (BPU car) but until she warms up, cold start is a PITA Would an HKS F-Con IS resolve my Cold start issues and still allow me retain the sequential setup? Going full standalone , I would loose the sequential setup I should be able to get the IS bought new and setup for 1000 euro , open to other options too http://www.part-box.com/product_info.php?products_id=86687 http://www.rhdjapan.com/hks-f-con-vehicle-specific-harness-toyota-tp5-1.html
  17. Thanks Chris I have the Tomei 264 cams in with the Stock ECU (Sard Rom in it) , on cold starts I need to keep my foot on the accelerator to stop her cutting out until it warms up and even then she can fluctuate between 1 and 0 rpm I was just wondering the principle behind what is causing it , Tomei Claim stable idle in stock ECU
  18. Thanks , the ECU did catch my eye when it was launched but it does not seem to be popular here across the board in the EU for some reason , few skylines etc run them Spec wise it does seem to be great value , is there any cool apps, software , gadgets you can use with it?
  19. Have my car back 2 days now, Tomei Poncams BPU Stock ECU , the Cams are fantastic , head can really breath ; BPU is quick but the burt of acceleration with the cams is nearly on par running 0.8 bar and 1.2 bar , they really do let her pull strong Low rev range , to be honest I do not notice a difference over OEM cams but she just pulls alot stronger from 3200-3500 rpm ; you really notice the 4500+ , she does not run out of steam up the rev line like with OEM cams , their marketing statement is accurate "Excellent pick up from lower rpm, and even greater results at maximum rpm" Only caveat I will say, the OEM ECU on cold start up, is a pita on Idle till she warms up, you will end up being the Cold start ECU Strategy with your right foot till she gets temps up I had to adjust the Idle dampener , coming to a stop , she tries to cut out , hunts between 0 rpm and 1K I need to look into this , might get a piggy back ; what would put me off a standalone ECU is the lack of functionality to run sequential setup
  20. How does a higher cam duration (i.e.264) affect Vacuum and Idle?
  21. How you finding it GPro , Did I read on Supra Forums members had an issue when it was launched with Idle on cold start up bit I think it was since fixed with a firmware update Just reading up about it I think it just needs a Map sensor and the Fuel / Oil pressure are extra's for the fail safes , maybe a Bosch LSU What did you get in the kit? ECU and Mkiv Loom? I dont think it will control the stock twin sequential turbos , I will need to go TTC
  22. Collected the car today to get back on the road , have some what looks like mould spores on the engine intake and ABS area I presume a good steam clean should bring it back , whats the best way to prevent it during storage ? WD40?
  23. Out of curiosity is anybody running the AEM? Might be a few members running it for a while now, do you recommend it
  24. I have a 93 Supra and mine are fine, just need a little elbow grease to clean them up! I found it is just the plastic clips on the loom plugs can go brittle from heat under there over the years If you do figure out sizes , be good to know!
