Thats very cheap even taking into account you are not including the O2 Wideband add on Module Syvecs I was quoted S6 Plus Syvecs S6 + with loom 2880 NTK wideband 220 Pressure sensor 144 3.5 bar map sensor 144 Boost solenoid 66 Bosch Knock sensor 90 Cal switch 50 Labour 250 Mapping and Dyno time 550 Adapter for oil pressure sensor 35 4429 S6 Syvecs S6 with loom 2180 NTK wideband 220 Pressure sensor 144 3.5 bar map sensor 144 Boost solenoid 66 Bosch Knock sensor 90 Cal switch 50 Labour 250 Mapping and Dyno time 550 Adapter for oil pressure sensor 35 3729 I reckon you are in Motec price range with 4429 GBP

http://www.powermaxengineering.com/plug%20in%20ecu.htm It works out more expensive than the Fury (with the built in O2 Wideband controller) after you add the O2 Module to the PNP unit
-
Tim , what Price is the PNP 2JZ kit with the Wideband Module add on ; I suspect you are in Fury price range but the Fury has the Wideband controller built in

Ah ok , makes sense ! I had visions of people sitting on their driveway at a crazy hour looking at Ryan drinking a Pina Colada , remote desktop into their PC
-
No doubt Chris, I am sure its a welcomed break from the fumes Out of curiosity what do you need to have the car remotely mapped? Do you make changes via a skype call or does Ryan remote desktop into your PC?
-
Thanks, I did download the Software before and it looks very intuitive !

Advise , pick me up off the floor! Nothing you said is in any way is technical or constructive just hearsay, reiterated BS read off a Forum ! Who I am dealing with and what you actually do; you work for PWC , what are you going to do Audit me and give me some financial advise LOL For all your wealth and Knowledge it was TDP who told me the OEM ecu will overwrite a piggy back; you where a vocal advocate of them as Mark told you to use them to map your car as they did his Sat's Supra , Did you ever hear the phrase "a fool and their money" , just because you have it does not mean you throw thousands at something in the hope it works, research is key to making an informed decision , support , customer feedback ; A chimp could work out cutting back on transport costs and most importantly my time is something I can get away with and not compromise what I am doing Let me know when your finished with the Shovel, dust it off and I'll put it back!
-
Thanks Ash , Trust me I would love to use somebody local! I will ask around , I said I would never put myself in a position to be compromised again ; reason I was looking at Fraser and Dave, I know either of them will provide a professional service , yes expensive but at least you will be guaranteed it was done right Based on feedback from Syvecs/AEM/Link users on here , it is also an option
-
Put your toys back in your pram, since you are so concerned about my research if you bother to read the HKS IS piggy back thread you would realise it is a no go , the OEM ECU will try to overwrite the map on a piggy back , based on what I read a standalone was a no go as I would loose sequential setup and technically challenging to mimic the OEM ECU; onto the next option TTC with Link, AEM Infinity , then remote mapping came to light last nite If you take out your Atlas you might be astounded to know we live on an Island , petrol , Ferry, accommodation, food back and forth to the UK plus my time will cost me 1800 + euro to the expense for an ECU , if remote mapping is available why not make use of it , technology eh! Another huge benefit is Support , it will work out $$ if you had to go back and forth to the UK for tweaks, when somebody can remotely log in. It is a great benefit to have regardless if I need to get the initial map done in the UK All good pieces of nuggets to know before you commit your hard earned cash! Who's better to ask than the members who have bought the product, before you criticise I dont listen to members, yes I can ring the manufacture but they will just tell me what I want to hear! Nobody will be more critical than a Customer, what is support like , Firmware glitches etc Poverty LOL , I dont think you can put Motec and Poverty in the same sentence ; your a child who gets all pepped up when members have different opinions to yours , you must have little time on your hands if you are so concerned about what I am asking on here

Nothing against Richard or anybody, I even tried to engage with TDP against my better judgement; I wanted to have a conversation with Robbie , who I got on the phone I dont know! I am trying my best to use somebody local, I dont want to go the UK when I could have a mapper 30mins down the road. I am sure Richard is good at what he does. I have and close firends had bad experiences with reputable mechanics who key market for promoting their ability is drifting, as you say they are all associated with each other but unfortunately as good as Richard or other mechanics maybe; based on my experience and perception of these "Drift" garages; I am not willing to loose thousands again on a hope and a prayer they will deliver on what they are paid to do. Other than forum feedback , I have no personal experience of Richard or any close friends who used him; I have to based my decision off the experience I had within his Motorsport circle.
-
Not yet, was just talking to Lee on price to go over, getting her dynoed here Saturday to check AFR, detonation etc I did not realise remote mapping had come on so far , one of the AEM tuners posted last nite a remote map they did, weighing up my options , on pricing ; I would like AEM or Syvecs due to vol of 2jz's running them
-
Marty and Colin use Dimitri from Greece but it is $$$ to fly him over for on person Richard, personally I would have reservations using him as he is associated with drifting ; their are alot of bad apples in the drift circle, taking money and not delivering , disappearing into the wind I would rather pay the extra to go the UK to use reputable mappers like Fraser Mac Kellar, Dave Rowe , Ryan/Romain ; I was hoping to avail of their services via remote session to keep costs down , you would imagine a base map on a 2jz now should be 85% there
-
Thanks
-
Thanks , could you map it off the logs as opposed a dyno ? The mappers in regards say they need an Internet connection but what does that mean? I presume I need a Windows pc, appropriate software installed, hook up to the ecu , does the mapper Remote Desktop into my pc or over Skype direct me to do X Y Z ?
-
My friends standard skyline back down in TDP every time he turns the key , fuel consumption through the roof, idle issues since the ecu was installed and every excuse from the Alarm to a fuse in the radio, my other good friend with the t04z , disaster; car has never run right since they touched it, I have other friends burnt with being charged for new parts and having there old parts sandblasted , pawned off as new They have downsized plus questions about how financial solvent they are , owes my friend 6k for a motec he paid for but has not seen it in 5 years I rang TDP to discuss a link but they could not give me a straight answer on ecu just spouting lamda numbers at me , they did not seem to know differences between the models , trying to get a price was like pulling teeth Still waiting for a reply on what my options are , unfortunately I have to come on here and link forum to deceiver the models so I can get answers to what they should be telling me, I wouldn't have confidence in them I am more annoyed or frustrated at companies down south who lend themselfs as experts in the field and have a price point to match but when they cannot deliver they kick the can down the road with every excuse, yet still deem it is acceptable to charge a premium price for their expertise and hand you back your item just as broke; with the attitude it will be grand Alot of cowboys here and they are all the same drift circle U.K. Is the only place to go

for sale Brand New: Clutch Release Bearing Supra 6 Speed & Circlips
Jellybean replied to Jellybean's topic in Parts for Sale
That's shipped -
Thanks , just my thinking is The fury has an o2 controller built in , by the time you add the O2 wideband module to the pnp Storm ; it's near on par with price but has the additional features What engine protection strategies are on the pnp, link website is not very clear , I can see the fury has knock, oil pressure, temp etc
-
Would a PNP Supra infinity not have a good base map already ? Why get the 8 over the 10 or vise versa ;8 seems more than capable?
-
AEM infinity Tuner said they can do it remotely , I know Cody Philips does plus whoever MVP use too
-
Last time I asked , you needed a dyno setup prior to remote tweaks , means i would need to bring the car to the UK
-
Take the oil cap off, have a smell for fuel ; you definitely do not want bore wash , eliminating the lubrication of oil from critical components like the trust, big end bearings
-
I asked about this a couple of years ago, but things move on ; a tuner in the UK said they can remote map off the logs / internet connection with the AEM Infinity Does Syvecs offer the same service , I also asked Fraser Mac Kellar too. It is $$ for me to get the car to the UK and back, I cannot afford to take time off work ; multiple people have issues with the local guy plus their solvency is under review ; I would rather not have money tied up in them My car is BPU JDM 6 speed with 264 cams so a base map should be 80% there if not more Thanks
