  1. Hi The Full beam , handbrake bulb cluster near the petrol gauge is not working , I tired new bulbs no joy MOT guys here wont pass unless the high beam light is working Think Heckler is the only option? Not too sure if he is still doing his LED gauges any more
  2. Get battery cable from a BMW or Mercedes in a breakers! They have relocated the battery to the boot from factory
  3. Hi I presume installing 264 etc cams will affect the brake pedal as the vacuum is altered to oem? Thanks
  4. Heres the Munro racing CT12A High Flow with ported manifolds: 453hp @1.35 1JZGTE Mk3 Supra 95 Octane Fuel HKS 264 Cams
  5. Thanks , Only reason I have one is , it was on the car ;would prefer just to run it off the side of the block but I have an oil pressure sensor in the sandwich plate What is the best way to retain the oil pressure sensor and have the filter in the OEM location ? Other option is to get the PHR kit on black friday
  6. Thanks Chris , I think they are discontinued I think I read somewhere and if you can get one its $$$$
  7. OEM standard opening pressure is 0.95 to 1.25, minimum opening pressure of 0.8 HKS do a 1.1 bar cap for the R33, thats what I use
  8. Hi I have my oil filter relocated to the Charcoal canister area, the oil filter is mounted off the OEM mounting on the wing , Primarily used for the Charcoal canister; looking at the mount it appears to be there more for positioning than designed to take any sheer load Anybody come across any oil filter mounting brackets?
  9. I never saw a setup with an injector for each cylinder , I dont know if it would be possible to use the conventional Fuel injector as the Water injector too, if you could some how twin feed the injector ? or if aftermarket intakes with twin fuel rails could be used for Water injection as opposed fuel , I presume they are 14mm or 11mm injectors

  11. Welcome along! I purchased my car from Japan even though I never had the pleasure of sitting in one! Closest I got was looking in a window of one You will not be disappointed Here is where I would start to get yourself familiar with the car, buying one Should cover 90% for your Q's http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?67644-What-to-check-when-buying-a-Supra http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?59334-Supra-Guide-and-Model-Differences-Chart http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?94705-BPU-(Basic-Performance-Upgrade)&highlight=basic+performance+upgrades http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?56684-FAQ-Oil-Fluid-Interval-Capacity-Steering-Brake-Coolant-Diff-Engine http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?41927-FAQ-Spark-plugs
  12. Standard pressure: 1,079 kPa (11.0 kgf/cm2, 156 psi) or more Minimum pressure: 883 kPa (9.0 kgf/cm2, 128 psi) Difference between each cylinder: 98 kPa (1.0 kgf/cm2, 14 psi) or less (d) If the cylinder compression in 1 or more cylinders is low, pour a small amount of engine oil into the cylinder through the spark plug hole and repeat steps (a) through (b) for the cylinder with low compression. If adding oil helps the compression, it is likely that the piston rings and/or cylinder bore are probably worn or damaged. If pressure stays low, a valve may be sticking or seating improper, or there may be leakage past the gasket.
  13. I couldnt get any OEM coilpacks off them either , even though they indicated UAE and Japan had them in Stock
  14. thanks , will look into what Siemens recommends!
  15. I just checked with the mapper and he noted , it will not impact the map on the car which makes sense as the injectors are characterised , I would expect them to use the fuel they need. On start up I was surprised at the level of noise dampening the standard OEM unit facilitates, on priming the system you can auditable hear the flow of fuel and inside the cabin I can hear ticking in tandem with the RPM (epecially on low speed, low rpm, just started) ; I presume the injectors pulsating ; it would be interesting to hear if other members have the same experience , especially members with an AEM FPR as these alleged have a damper built in; maybe the Sytec does not have any I cannot imagine it is something you 'put up with' when you remove the pulsation damper
  16. Hi Have a few Q's on fuel setup Billet fuel rail Sytec Racing FPR http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/performance/fuel-pressure-regulators/fse-racing-adjustable-fuel-pressure-regulator Siemens 890cc Deka injectors What pressure should you see at Idle on a mechanical gauge connected to the FPR? I am not too sure how this is determined , injector size, engine specific? How do you know what to set it at? Would removing the fuel pulsation damper alter the pressure ( as the OEM is pre-rail)? If the car was mapped with the Fuel Pulsation damper, removing it cause an issue (increase in pressure)? I read 'Most' aftermarket FPR have a pulsation damper built in? http://injector-rehab.com/shop/fpd.html Noise wise, I read you have a noticeable audible noise with the Fuel Pulsation damper removed, if anybody can describe for comparison; would the built in pulsation damper not negate this or considering the FRP is post rail (OEM is pre-rail), this has an impact?
  17. ECU: Motec M130 Billet fuel rail Sytec Racing FPR http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/performance/fuel-pressure-regulators/fse-racing-adjustable-fuel-pressure-regulator Siemens 940cc Deka injectors Fuel Pulsation Damper removed Noise in cabin only , sounds like rushing water on ignition (When fuel pump is priming - is normal) , once started RPM determines noise frequency , she sounds fine cruising My first taught was something was stuck in the fan for the de-mister I do not know if this is coincidental, this appeared after I installed a braided AN 6 to replace the Fuel pulsation damper; on reading up , most after market Fuel pressure regs have a damper built in Car was mapped with the OEM Fuel pulsation damper present , not too sure if this will have a bearing on it; based on ECU logs car is running optimal , Siemens injectors are characterised by Motec so I presume they will use what they need regardless of volume of fuel available I think you might need head phones to hear it , difficult with PC speakers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dVNcYlMaOY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iqn4YJH5vxQ
  18. I was hoping to get your fast road setup at some stage I don't drive her on the track any more , track in Ireland is not suited to a Supra or anything with power ; just nimble agile cars like an Elise
  19. Car runs fine on the TRD shocks/Springs under license Bilstein , nothing constricts suspension movement ; they are a tad harsh on the road TRD Springs -- front K=107.8N/mm Rear K=92.1N/mm I forgot what slot the spring seat sits on
  20. I would love the Height adjustable Chris Wilson custom valved "fast road" Bilstein dampers & matched springs ; my TRD Bilstein dampers/springs are very harsh on the road But even talking to Chris , he is not 100% if she will bottom out with his setup, considering I am running TRD kit and the horrendous 19 inch wheels !
  21. Thanks for the help! But everything falls on deaf ears, I explained why a low temp stat is unsuitable He says the car sounds fine , and the car runs good with the Nismo stat , more interested in his spec list on the interweb; Car is constantly breaking down, over fueling , issues with TPS, VVT,MAF , fuel pumps, spark plugs , lambda sensors, exhaust gaskets blowing , boost leaks, BOV's leaking you name it , majority happened again this year! Re-occurring theme , each month if he is happy with an oil change to fix the issue then you just have to sit back and watch , crack open a cold one
  22. Thanks Chris, thats great! 700hp is what he rates the engine can take , not my view but it was a copy and paste My views excatly , somthing is blocked! An oil change wont magically cure the problem
