  1. A tin snips but a scissors will work Might do a test paint on some left over material , looks good as is
  2. Not finished yet (ran out of material) but give you an idea
  3. Ordered a Top Rad Alloy hose off Paul on Sunday , unfortunately the pipe without the 1/8NTP boss arrived (Easily done) , emailed Paul , he sent out the correct pipe and got it by Saturday I am located in Ireland Thanks Paul for the quick turnaround , all fitted and looking great!
  4. The Billet Differential Items (34CrNiMo6) are stunning and on par pricewise with the OEM discontinued parts
  5. From what I was told the rebuild is not difficult, box is not complex , it is sourcing parts ; any competent Gearbox rebuild shop should be able to deliver
  6. Sorry I picked it you up wrong, ge is the same price as gte based on their site but email Marty to confirm
  7. I am having a look at the KW setup , anybody have any feedback on them? Corrossion, any issues? Easy of use, Play with the settings; compression and rebound? they are pre-configured out of the box? How does Valving compare to Nitron? Considering these have a higher spring rate than the TRD's I presume its the dampening allowing a more comfortable ride ? Spring Rate: Front: 685 lb/in Rear: 515 lb/in
  8. SSI Billet intake is excellent Value https://www.facebook.com/Supraspecialists/posts/1613495315334636
  9. I am looking at Garys , I like the shape but alot of work to get them to fit an OEM setup At least the Nimbus Lite Heat Shield you might be able to tweak fairly easily , be nice painted satin black with the Diamond cut design Keep us posted on how easy it is to work with, shape and cut , might try make up a template the weekend
  10. Another option I was looking at was using Nimbus Lite Heat Shield http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorsport/heat-shielding-protection/nimbus-lite-heat-shield
  11. If it is similar to an Aristo Engine (front mounted sump), might need to put in provisions for other impediments involved The biggest pain in the ASS is the wiring , even for a Non VVTI Supra 2JZGTE I think you can have between 2-3 different wiring configurations from OEM, Why Toyota made it such a minefield I dont know but when you start to incorporate non-factory conversions , you can see the potential work, and impending swear Jar on the horizon I found it a nightmare to identify all the wiring schematics for mine , its Factory GTE non VVTI , alot of cross referencing pins, until you have the loom plug physically in your hand it can be one of 3 diagrams at times - Aristo power steering pump has a solenoid valve which the supra doesn't, mainly this effects the power steering lines as the bolt configuration is different, you will need a supra one -The water pump is the same on the VVTi and is not hydro – it will not need to be changed -The aristo has a front mounted sump, you will need to change to a supra mid mounted sump layout. -Engine loom will need to be modified or swapped for a supra unit -Engine Mounts and brackets will need to be swapped -Brake booster bung (Goes to top of intake manifold) -o2 sensor loom plug will need to be swapped -Water temp sender (Not sensor) will need to be purchased and installed -Oil level sensor plug may need to be purchased -Heater hoses from engine will need to purchased as the aristo ones are different -Oil dip stick bracket is different -Oil return lines from turbos are different -Fuse box will need custom wiring, some differences: ETSC (TRAC Control) fuse is 15amp, I setup the wiring for FAN (Don’t have them though), EFI1 and EF2 relays and fuses were setup as NA only uses one EFI relay, TEL Fuse Wiring,
  12. Was talking to to Alex in Nitron , might be worth making a sticky Supra Models NTR R1 SYSTEM 2-Way combined damping adjustment. http://www.nitron.co.uk/pwpcontrol.php?pwpID=17759 NTR R3 SYSTEM 3-Way independent damping adjustment. Independent adjustment of rebound and fast and slow compression damping. http://www.nitron.co.uk/pwpcontrol.php?pwpID=17760 Spring Rates We can use any spring rate you like assuming it’s a increment of 25lbs. Track focussed car would be 700lbs front 400lbs rear. For a fast road setup we would suggest 625lbs front and 375lbs rear. CW recommended 600 lbs ins fronts and 320 lbs ins rears http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?318772-nitron-shocks&highlight=spring+rates Can they supply Progressive Springs? We don’t use progressive springs (Variable rate aka Non-Linear ) I’m afraid, we use Straight (Linear ) Springs Good read: http://automotivethinker.com/suspension/linear-vs-progressive-rate-springs/ Service intervals Service intervals are very much case dependant, for example an endurance race car should be serviced every year to maintain optimal performance whereas a weekend road car can get away with years without a service. We suggest servicing every 12-18,000 miles for a road car, obviously if your car is used on the track mainly this mileage is greatly reduced due to the much higher operating temperatures. I always tell customers to regularly check the adjusters are still turning freely and the clicks are still as positive as the day you received them and to keep the piston rod lubricated and free of debris and then to use your best judgment of when they will need to be serviced, most people service every 3-5 years. Dust boots Sadly we don’t offer dust boots for our shocks, you may be able to find spring socks that would effectively do the same thing. I found these Spring Socks: http://www.motamec.com/motamec-spring-cover-coilover-protector-shock-bag-red-13-330mm-long-pair.html http://www.motamec.com/motamec-spring-cover-coilover-protector-shock-bag-black-16-406mm-long-pair.html Compliancy If you want to focus on track performance then obviously you will have to sacrifice compliancy for the road, we try to keep this to a minimum however as performance is our main goal you will notice a difference. We also use spherical bearings rather than rubber mounts so you will encounter more road noise. Spring rates for a track focussed car would be 700lbs front 400lbs rear. Let me know if you require anymore information. Kind regards, Alex Kernahan Sales Team Nitron Racing Systems Ltd Unit 20 Avenue One Station Lane Witney Oxfordshire OX28 4XZ UK
  13. Nice , did you remove the Aircon , reason for the bracket on the powersteering pump? - - - Updated - - - Nice , did you remove the Aircon , reason for the bracket on the powersteering pump?
  14. Thanks, that makes things alot easier
  15. Why everybody in the UK is getting in such a hiss about it Ethically and morally what Trump is doing raises alot of questions , he incites hate, mass deportation UK may have to choose , Trump or the EU; Trump , "How to Lose Friends & Alienate People" , he is a Narcissist The people he surrounds himself with, does not invoke confidence , it generates Fear There are many comparable traits between Hitler and Trumps rhetoric, rhetorical marginalisation of groups, lifestyles and beliefs; they promise a new vision of leadership. The existing political systems as fundamentally corrupt, incompetent, and, most importantly, unable to generate decisive action in the face of pressing problems. Trump is now targeting Sanctuary Cities , hiring additional 10K Customs officers , few months you will see deportation figures dramatically increase! He is targeting Law abiding people living there for 20+ years with Families not just criminals , alot of fear in America right now Worldwide I can see why people are concerned , it does not take much of an imagination what a person who responds through their amygdala can do!
  16. Could be , I think it is very easy to turn a Supra into a complete dog and extremely difficult to improve on OEM I would be a firm believer in handling over power and I find all this Suspension Tech fascinating One think I also noticed was the RSR Titanium spring rates are very reasonable in comparison to OEM but I presume due to the properties of Titanium vs conventional steel , How they compress differs greatly , lower spring rate but equivalent to a stiffer Steel spring
