  1. Supra Sport just made a few more gear sets for the V160 , be interesting what a full rebuild would be versus T56 and 8.8" Diff , either way $$$ investment
  2. From SupraSport The gears are pretty expensive, here is a breakdown on the current pricelist: 1st gear: 500 USD (limited to 5 units right now, all original OEM Toyota) 2nd gear: 750 USD billet unit 3rd gear: 375 USD (limited to 10 units now, original OEM Toyota) 4th gear: 750 USD billet unit Billet shifter sleeve (sleeve only, no hub): 460 USD each Billet forks 220 USD each I will give discount as follows: 2 gear combo: 50 USD discount 3 gear combo: 100 USD discount 4 gear combo: 200 USD discount all gears can be combined (you can also buy 4x second gear for example) if you buy sleeves combined with gears: 20 USD discount per sleeve if you buy synchro kits (225 USD for a kit) combined with gears also 20 USD discount per kit If you buy billet forks combined with gears, also 20 USD discount per fork Just send me your order and I will send a proformo on paypal and we can go from there. I will try to give discount as much as I can! Bare in mind after discount I am selling for cost. The prices are applicable for V160 AND for V161. I currently only have V160 gears in the making and I will ship next week or week after. If we agree for V161 gears, I will ship those at a later date (details in PM). For the technical guys out here. The gears are made out of 17CrNiMo7-6. We machined them first, laserwelded the synchro portion on it, then hardened them and then post process (grinding) them to specs. The hubs we made out of Toolox steel. I am also offering rebuild service. If your box needs a rebuild contact me. If you don't have a core, I have currently about 6 V160 and 2 V161 to rebuild and sell to you, so a core is NOT required. I can build the box to your specific need, so with or without billet parts. Full overhaul or just repair the main issue. Shipping from me to wherever is very affordable as I have an excellent deal with FedEx. If your box needs to go to me, we gotta work something out (I dont have very good deals on overseas incoming shipments).
  3. My mate is big into his Audi's , for a modern car I could not believe the cost to remove the Engine, Cat sensor goes (Think most have 3-4) , engine out, timing chain and tensioners on some RS models are pront to go , engine out , you name it engine out ; it costs close to 20K to JUST remove the engine, they do sound fantastic with some Miltek's OE has to engineer them like this on purpose to get you on maintenance One of the other guys got a Maserati Quattroporte 2002 /04 model , full service 10K ! 10K!!!!! Brake discs , pads , oil , plugs Supra is inexpensive in comparison, I remember CW mentioning the OE dual mass flywheel is on par with the Maserati but half the price
  4. One thing I will never get , the current price an R34 GTR commands , WTF , 70K Even as a die hard Supra fan, even if the car had all the bells and whistles , not a chance I would pay it! Crazy! Within Ireland , VRT tax commanded on a new car or anything with a bit of power ; 1990's Jap car makes sense for performance , build quality, Condition 2nd hand JDM cars for a reasonably affordable price New M5, GTR RS6 here starts at 130K to 180K with some extra's, annual Motortax 2100 New M4 ex-extras 120K
  5. Does one not have a Skyline track car
  6. KW is the same money as CW setup , KW edges it , with KW you have a greater threshold for setting it up the way you want Cannot fault KW R&D
  7. I would educate yourself on Obama administration and their volume of Drone strikes, ten times the vol versus Bush They took out a vast amount of civilian buildings to take out one target , innocent families, kids, mothers, fathers , sisters , brothers killed ; collateral damage When you are at home tonight , you are relaxing looking at TV, Flash bang, ringing in your ears , rubble everywhere , blood in your eyes ,your family dead beside you, all because some guy two doors down was suspected to be a terrorist Obama is a far cry from a good man, he just had a good PR department
  8. I just cannot justify the price for road use and without a shake down in a Supra with them fitted plus if they were more designed for road use (Dust boots etc) I would be tempted Was reading up alot around KW V3 , I honestly cannot find a negative review , Audi, BMW, Porsche, pistonheads , Skyline, Supra , G35, Mercedes owners Half the price of Nitron, they are doing good prices on KW V3 now
  9. I got mine NEW from Pixmania , 5S unlocked for around 300 euro https://www.pixmania.ie/p/apple-iphone-5s-16gb-4g-silver-959521?offerId=3986344
  10. I got a price to just ship a set out, CW would most likely like to have it but I dont think he would need it I know there are caveats fitting aftermarket suspension especially with alot of us well beyond OE spec , but it was a gamble I was going to take even based on CW caveats CW setup is on par price wise with KW v3 , I am leaning towards KW due to the extra features , I will have greater threshold to dial them in CW setup is fixed adjustment , I am nervous it will be too soft on the road , height may be difficult to get the correct setting KW get great reviews downunder and stateside , few members on here; they use OE top mounts so I still have compliance in the suspension Difficult choice without siting in a car with CW or KW installed
  11. Too many pitfalls with them for the road and suitabilty
  12. CW , I presume they are on par or close to Eibachs
  13. Currency Fair I found very reasonable http://www.currencyfair.com
  14. Looking at a few options , Top 3 choices from what I can see is Nitron R1 -- Straight Spring German Bilstein and progressive springs KW V3 -- Straight Spring From reading up, Nitron will have more precise valving , due to their design will result in a more firm ride from the high pressure nature of the design KW is Twin Tube low pressure design with the possibility of cavitation, resulting in performance loss, floaty feel and no consistency, to minimise cavitation KW use Nitrogen gas Bilstein are Mono/twin tube design, I think the Supra version is Mono I cannot see any benefits of Twin Tube over the Mono Tube , Twin Tube design is holding me back on KW V3 Mono Tube Dampening is better due to larger piston , better handling more predictable? Better heat dissipation Less complex design
  15. I know a Left hooker in the states commands strong money ,will a RHD command similar money? Hard to tell as none of the skylines where sold domestically ? What really kills the car here is the annual 1500 euro for road tax, everytime the car gets within grasp of classic tax the establishment extend the age requirement , the insurance sector has all but collapsed here , 36+ male/female no claims and all the bells and whistles clean licence are either refused insurance or they command 4000 mark , Government are pushing joe public into New cars and PCP deals , each year the NCT (MOT) has another spat of additional rules making life as difficult as possible , similar to Japan , older cars are too costly,PITA to keep on a public road Was talking to the Toyota parts manager last night , he has an M3 E46 , we got onto the topic of cars appreciating , E46 CSL came to the forefront of the conversation , Leo, a guy I use to see regularly at the Saturday car wash sold his a few years back for 40K mark , we noted they command up to 100K now (crazy!!!) As much as I love the car be nice to get on the property ladder, have a Panigale in the garage too ; if I ever did sell , at this point in time I would transition to the biking world, have a cheap POS run around , I do not think I would get back into cars to the extent I am , not worth the stress and hassle here
  16. It is the addition of Ethanol content or if you are running E85 might be an issue I was reading up on Fuel the other day , considering a few of us have the Charcoal Canister removed , vented to air as opposed the OEM sealed system Cars are sitting up during the week , the exposure to the air from what I read caused the fuel to loose its potency quicker , not too sure if it is negligible, maybe the vent line has a not return check valve on it , unless vacuum is applied it remains shut
  17. I found it easy enough, if it's a right bugger use a little bit of oil on the fitting
  18. Might be able to achieve the same outcome using a rivet nut!
  19. They are hidden in the wheel arch, you wont see them but will aid greatly in ease of removal , trying to get a nut , spanner on the end of the bolt in there is an absolute pita especially on the drivers side Will sit inside the arch similar to this
  20. Looking at installing a quick Release Fastener on the Wheel arch Front Bumper fixing Anybody an experience in this area , can recommend a fitting and Sizing? Examples http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorsport/quick-release-fasteners http://www.specialty-fasteners.co.uk/products/quick-release-fasteners/push-turn-fasteners/item/3321k-push-turn-fasteners-kit-refill
