  12. too bad hes on the other side of the pond
  13. he said it was goin to be around 350 euro but he wanted 550 euro gave him 400 euro
  14. I expect him to do it for the going rate at least not 100 euro more Plus I got him 400 Cigarettes B&H and some Jack Daniels, and then he wants to charge me 100 euro more than the goin rate I have been very fair with him, always bring him the car mags at the weekend, go out of my way to get him work from friends and family and this is the thanks I get FUBAR
  15. Got them down to 400 euro rather than 500 euro, which to me is the going rate So much for mates rates , will have to look for a new garage
  16. Put it this way I am waiting around since February to get this done , it my mate thats doin it so its cash in hand I dropped the car off at 7.00 last nite so they would of started on it at about 7.30 earliest (they had to finish up some stuff) My mate was back home and all by 1045, he said he just needs to put the wheels back on today I Estimated 5 hours work so to me 100 euro an hour Labour is well steep , he had to get the other mechanic to do it because he is still an apprentice and was not comfortable doin it himself but I shouldnt have to pay the rate of two fully qualified mechanics and even at that they are charging me full prices not nixer It is a hot topic because hes a mate but I am not a mug and hate it when people try to take advantage , I would of done it mysef but dont have the facilities Just goin to ask for an invoice, and if they say but its a nixer, I will reply then why are u charging me full garage prices? anybody have a better idea to approach it? The other mechanic was adamant I was not allow stay, now I know why , so he could take the piss on the price Originally they estiamted 350 euro for the Job, so I was thinking more 430(390 pounds all in) euro including tracking
  17. Got the powerflex front brush kit , took the garage about 5 hours work Does 480 pound sound like a lot for labour and tracking Tracking in Ireland is normally around 60 pound Just it is my mate that done it and it seems to me like a lot of money for labour
  18. I was onto good year and a few others, 36 is the pressure regarless of wheel / tyre size If you think about it, you are either putting a larger piece of alloy on with a low profile tyre or a smaller Alloy and a bigger profile typre so the circumferance never changes so why should your tyre pressure
  19. None actually, unfortunetly its Ireland http://www.igopeople.com/u/assets/200/Lola%20B07-90_3-medium.JPG While I have you here Chris, do you have anything for a S14 SR20DET UK 200SX, suspension wise (coil overs)?
  20. Thanls Guys Was looking at http://www.racecarsdirect.com and didnt see anything either but the 25K looks good That equates to roughly 29500 Euro and a hot lap is 50 euro which results in 590 laps to pay for the car , how useless is that info
  21. I get a small bit of turbo flutter the odd time generally just transitioning onto the 2nd turbo and have to let off throttle sharply I read you can adjust your BOV to eliminate this, I have the ARC and I have a 10mm nut you can adjust, I presume you release the tension to solve the issue so the excess gas is released earlier? If you are running different Boost settings (i.e.boost controller) will you have to keep on adjusting the BOV? Does it matter how lapsed the spring tension is, do you need a certain amount of pressure to get the optimal spool but negate any turbo flutter? Why not have the BOV on its weakest setting so it releases excess gas as soon as possible?
  22. Anybody know roughly how much these cost? The local track get one and are doing a hot lap with u as the passenger for 50 Euro just curious what they cost
  23. I am in a similar position to yours and at least once a week I think of selling up and getting a Fiat 500 abarth or a brabus smart car 80% of the time I am doing 60km/h or less and if I was caught using the Supra's potential I would get banned Ever think of getting a hot hatch for 5K or would you even pic up a S2000 Personally I would like a Twin cam AE86 , simple mechanics and cheap to maintian
