  1. E85 is sold from the pump over here as Unleaded Petrol by Maxol @99RON everything else is 95 RON http://www.maxol.ie/maxol-bioethanol-e85.html You would have to ask Marty at SSI, just reiterating what he said I cant comment on it but all I know he is a respected tuner in the Supra Community UK and Ireland
  2. Does anybody have Bride Gias Low Max Seats, if they would not mind letting me sit in one Afraid to get them incase I am too big, would be nice to have a 5 min drive to see if they are too uncomfortable
  3. Marty from SSI (Supra Specialest Ireland) did mention this before for a cork car running on what u guys have down there He is a member on here Stock ECU has some very clever Knock detection and timing retard maps built in, which means you'll be fine on stock boost levels http://www.supras-ireland.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=729&p=4024&hilit=ecu#p4024 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Some info from Supra Specialists Ireland on E85 Its actually rated at 98.2 Ron i believe. And i'm also going to give a little tip to anyone going to switch to it Full time. E5 is a blended Fuel which is 95% petrol and 5% eth. If uou know how combustion works on a petrol engine you will know that the Stioch value of Petrol is 14.7:1, and so your ECU o2 feedback is programmed for this. Adding Eth will throw this of sligtly as Eth has a lower Stioch value. After filling the tank, remove power to the ECU for a few minutes (remove earth lead) and this will clear the Stored o2 feedback values to the ECU). After restarting the car, the ECU will have to relearn its o2 feed back strategy, which may take around 30 miles of driving, but it will be a strategy to work with the new fuel. Will disconecting the Battery alone reset the ECU??
  4. I taught thats what a car mapper does, is adjust certain key parameters to best suit the conditions and resources the engine has available
  5. The Stock ECU contains multiple maps, if you disconnect the battery for a few mins and reconnect, the ECU is reset and it will learn what is the best map to use Marty in Supra Specialists Ireland will confirm, no need to remap Supra's for Ireland I have ran a few tanks of the E5 99Ron and found the Texaco Techron better
  6. In Ireland they are enforcing new law in next week or two, an exhaust over 80db is illegal and if not recified after a road side test @ 2meters and at 3500rpm, you may get a 2500 euro fine or 3 months in prison
  7. I would replace them, every 60K miles it is good practice to replace them They arent too expensive either, better rule these out first as the problem
  8. seems to only of happened after I cleaned it, taught the hot weather may of affected it anybody any ideas how to get it off, doesnt want to release
  9. thats just making a simple poll too complex, leave as it was add 1 to the existing positive score if you would recommend the tyre; minus 1 from the existing negative score if would NOT recommend the tyre; leave the scores unchanged if you are indifferent of have no experience of the tyre.

  12. Maxol's E85 http://www.maxol.ie/maxol-bioethanol-e85.html My NCT is in October, last time it failed due to reg plate 5mm too small, wouldnt even mind but the visual re-test was done from over 7 meters away, they must have Bi-noc-ulars for eyes First thing when the car rolled in at a side profile, he ran over with the measuring tape to the rear, and after that they had 4 mechanics on the car, and only 4 where working at the time Every other car only had 1 mechanic testing it, I am all for safety but I dont like when they go out of there way to fail u, bunch of SOB's

  21. Found out the issue, I have a SARD ECU and it is already has a boost cut or either 1.1 bar or 1.3 bar depending on model you have, not too sure what i have I have Denso Iridium - IK20 , taught she was stock ECU so think I am experiancing a misfire not fuel cut, I have removed the BCC and she is hiting over 1 bar so think if I change out plugs to a colder grade (IK24's ) she she be good, if not I will have to get Marty @ Supra specialist ireland to take a look Just he's a good 3-4 hours drive away
  22. Just seen I have a SARD Analyse ECU, anybody come across them or have any info? http://file047a.bebo.com/13/large/2009/07/25/17/20295479a11296680800l.jpg Can only find this http://takakaira.com/Main.aspx Analyse Analyse is an ECU set to provide alteration of high boost & rev control at high speed driving, and provides accurate engine control in various conditions, such as partial range, street driving, and engine idling. Resetting items of Analyse: * Fuel map resetting. * Ignition map resetting. * Rev limiter resetting. * Speed limiter cancellation. * Boost limiter cancellation. It's strongly required to use high-octane gasoline after the replacement of ECU (in Japan "high-octane gasoline" values is 100~101%.
