  2. http://cdn.images.autocar.co.uk/612x408FFFFFFF/Car/Honda/Concepts/Honda-Concepts-221299106194401600x1060.jpg Honda has revealed its new V8 racing car in Japan, the HSV 010. Although Honda calls it "a racing car specially developed for Japanese Super GT category", it is loosely based on Honda’s axed 'next NSX' project. See the Honda HSV 010 race car in hi-res Honda put a lot of time and work into developing a new front-engined V10 super-coupe, to go head to head with the Lexus LFA. The car was seen testing and was close to being signed off when Honda pulled the plug in winter 2008 as the economic crisis hit, around the same time Honda announced it was quitting Formula One. Sources say Honda’s plan was to launch the new V10 super-coupe as the Acura Sports, its launch timed to coincide with the debut of Acura, Honda’s luxury dealer channel, in Japan. In the end, both projects got canned, but not before Honda put quite a bit of work into developing a separate, pure race version of the Acura Sports for Super GT, Japan’s hugely popular tin-top race series. The Super GT version of the Acura Sports will carry the road car’s silhouette but underneath it would be totally different, with an all-new carbonfibre chassis and swapping the road car’s 5.0-litre V10 – good for 500bhp plus – for a race-bred 3.4-litre V8 to meet the new Super GT regs. The road car’s high-performance, rear-biased Super Handling 4WD system has also been exchanged for a simpler, more robust rear drive layout, again to meet Super GT regs. Honda will build a limited run of race cars to meet the requirements of the Super GT teams, but has stressed the race car will not be sold, nor form the basis of a road car. It’s a 90-degree V8 with 3400cc capacity, rev-limited to 10,300rpm and good for 600bhp plus. For Super GT duty, the engine will have to be significantly reworked for a more endurance spec. Super GT races are longer and harder than Formula Nippon and each engine also has to last for four races. The V8 engine will also be air-restricted to 500bhp to meet the regs in Super GT’s top GT500 class, but will lose the rev limiter. The details of the car and the team organisation will be announced in January. http://www.autocar.co.uk/News/NewsArticle/AllCars/246163/
  3. Do you also use the side mounts and Rails or just the rails because you can get both as an option, just not sure if you need both For example Side mounts for a fixed position and the Rails for an adjustable seat I think I got it but not too sure why you can buy runners, according to this side mount seats are fixed http://www.sportseats4u.co.uk/side-mounts-explained-s-37.html Next Q -- Are side mounts a direct bolt in , no holes required to drill
  4. how does it work with Recaro Side Mounts, can you get Bride rails and bolt them to the side mounts I taught you bolt the seat via points on the side to the side mounts and she is fixed but from what I gather you can get recaro rails too(side mounts & rials ) and have an adjustable seat (back and forwards) Just confused how the Seat bolts to the side mounts and the rails too?Does the seat also have bolt positions on the bottom as well as the side?
  5. I didnt buy the seats yet, not too sure if they will fit. Not too sure about a mounting point on the seat for the buckle
  6. Didnt see anybody fitting buckets with stock seat belt, how do you retain the seat belt buckle, it is attached to the OEM seat frame Is it possible to fit these seats All I need is? Recaro Side Mounts Recaro rails

  13. they are all new EU legisslation for new Cars only They have the GPS wired into the skyline in Japan, if you go to a local track the limiter is disabled due to the car knowing where it is geographically located in an area no speed limit is applicable In france they use the GPS unit to track how often your car is on the road, the Local French road authority bases your annual road tax on this, If you only use your car for a week in the year, you only pay for a week
  14. Before you jump for joy and I am with you on the safety features. They did an average price each compulsary item will cost and you can expect a new car to increase by 1.5K to 2K

  17. (Apexi AVCR at 1.0 bar 35 duty cycle, some gears duty cycle is adj +/- dependant on performance) When the temp outside here is close to freezing 0 , 1 degrees the car runs fantastic, but during normal air temps 5-10 degrees she coughs and splutters on the same settings on transition to the second turbo Any advice, should I run two settings dependant on air temp
  18. Could be worse, in Ireland we have no such thing as agreed value. We just get open market value even though its a genuine TRD At this point if I wrote my car off I would be lucky to get 1500 euro, current Open Market value for a 93 Supra TT according to Irish Road authority My insurance is 1000 GBP a year, not called rip off Ireland for nothing Even though the same companies are in the UK and here, if I ask them about agrred value they look at me like I have two heads but in the UK for some reason it is a normal request Continuity is a bitch
  19. I am sure its fine, mine was done on the rollers too . I never knew it could damage the LSD, Testers dont tell you because they are too lazy to do the road brake test, becasue you have an LSD the brake rollers if I am not mistaken can give a false reading and cause you to fail But it is in there rule book so if they break it they pay for it, they also tried to fail me because I have a Jap rectangle plate. On the RSA website it states they are legal once font and size are same as stated as legal. I normally bring along a print out of the rule book because they dont seem to know the rules themselfs
  20. If your car has an LSD, you know they need to do the Brake test on the road. The Brake rolling machine can damage your LSD *You have to tell them the car has a LSD What happened when they cracked your skirt , where u comphensated? Just passed my NCT last week, I will compare last years sheet, like you nothing was changed since
  21. If you need the screen for sports or high motion(action movies) get a Plasma, LCD's cannot handel motion as good, image appears distored For a Plasma a full HD is only worth while 50" and up in screen size to get the beneifit of 1080P 1080i(1920x1080 pixels) is interlaced (screen refresh every second or odd line of pixels) HD Ready 1080p(1920x1080 pixels) is progessive scan (screen refreshs every line)Full HD The best Plasma is the Pioneer Kuro 9th series range, now discontinued due to hugh losses for Pioneer but you can still pick one up while stocks last(LX5090 is the model I have), I reserached this for 6 months while saving and time and time again the Pioneer Kuro Model always was Number 1 Next on the list is Panasonic, it is rumored all new Pioneer Tv's will contain Panasonic Panels Both Pioneer and Panasonic have 5 year warranty, if you are getting a plasma get a Panasonic or Pioneer http://www.whathifi.com/Review/Pioneer-PDP-LX5090/ http://www.avforums.com/reviews/index.php?search_special=1&parent=114 http://www.homecinemachoice.com/reviews/new_reviews/Pioneer+PDP-LX6090+PDP-LX5090 Good place, seem to have good prices http://www.tlcbroadcast.co.uk/ If you look at any of the high end AV specialists, they only deal with Pioneer or Panasonic
