  1. Not too sure if it helps, you can just about see the Slip cont dimming on turn over http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZ9ukfJ2PH0
  2. My battery is in the boot I need a non-gas emitting battery , recommend any ?
  3. It happened a few times and when she came in from Japan , no issues once re-charged Will try a different battery tomorrow, to diagnose if it is the battery
  4. I think it is the battery definetly not the starter motor because she started fine two weeks ago no issues. But I had to recharge the battery again it went flat after 2 weeks of sitting idle. When I try to start her the Slip cont lights dim , she just about has enough juice to turn over. symptoms of a battery near flat? Only things that changed since then are the fitting of a lamda sensor Maybe battery contacts need a clean?
  5. Lamda sensor , maybe the ECU is trying to re-learn? I took the battery out for 48hours to reset the ECU after fitting the Lamda Sensor It feels like every time I start her she just barely struggles to turn over
  6. It appears a small hair line crack in the spolier is allowing some water ingress, this is causing the stain on the boot when the water drains out over time Any advice please on options to fix it?
  7. I re-charged the battery (optima red top) yesterday but car takes a few turns to get her started; normally she starts on the first turn of the starter motor I changed the lamda sensor too last week , not too sure it that will be a factor?
  8. Hey Was talking to Paul last nite(Red Supra), he wasn’t at any of the weekends yet but is going this year. Will meet up with him during the week. Paul’s turbo’s went (Jspec Supra) but he was running 1.4 bar so it is going to happen. He went to Couture Auto out in meath, they said they will recon the Turbo’s via Turbo technics, he handed over the cash and got the turbo’s sent off. When he got the Turbos back they still looked the usual used Items (when you get back refurbed turbos they look like new). Long story short, it cost him the guts of 2-3K for the work and what appears Couture didn’t get his turbo’s refurbed but instead they bought 2nd ones and pawned them off as turbo technics refurbed hybrid’s. On top of this when installing the other turbo’s they failed to connect the VSV valves plus the Vacuum piping was still perished not replaced. After the out lay of the 2-3 K Paul found the car to be running like a bag of $h!$, Colin up in SSI had a look at her and said they have made a pigs ear of it, VSV valves for one. Now the VSV valves are gone , and Toyota garage told Paul if he wants new items he has to purchase the whole turbo too(4K they wanted)!!! Looking up the parts site, you can purchase VSV valves individually (100 euro each I estimate) I was only talking to Couture last week, before I even knew what Paul went through. I asked them how they rate themselves with Supra’s, based on the response they seem to be very confident in their knowledge and way around the 2JZ. So just a heads up, don’t go near Couture Auto with your Supra
  9. what are the called under toyodiy?
  10. Toyota here said you need to buy the two turbos complete to get a VSV valve , my friends ones are gone caput
