  1. Why do you think that , the kit is made out of FRP (fiber reinforced polymers) , Reinforcement can be fibers of glass/carbon/aramid etc. not your common fibreglass kit, the purpose behind FRP was due to weight redution over steel The purpose of the kit was for JGTC The kit was all about properly functioning aerodynamics as opposed to outright speed, with Toyota investing a lot more financially into developing the 3000GT kit than previous attempts, using wind tunnel testing and 3D simulations to gain the best compromise between functionality and appearance. The JGTC Supra wore the 3000GT aero parts in the final race of the '94 season, which would lead TRD to further hone the aero parts to gain the best performance possible. You could bring your Supra to Toyota Technocraft to have the kit installed , they offered a conversion service to transform these cars into a TRD3000GT, similar to the ZTune Kitted Skylines and Nismo Omori Factory
  2. Ikeya Formula have what you need but the handling is not badly compromised when lowered; not neccessary http://www-en.ikeya-f.co.jp/category/1983335.html
  3. Installing a LCD Dash and using LEDs for the dash lights , oil pressure, low level fuel Does any body know how to identify the polarity of the wires for each light, I cant mimic a low level oil pressure
  4. I drive over 150 miles to the specialist here
  5. Sorry to hear , Do not going pulling off the head , I would do a leak down test first and get it to a garage who has experience with the cars Even if it is 500 to get it dropped down , we see it again and again , cars going from one mechanic to another, turns in to a money pit , it inevitably ends up with a garage who specialises in the cars, issue diagnosed in a fraction of the time
  6. low as in headlight you us at night, its near the corner of the lense
  7. If you look at the lens on your headlight , should say HB3 Using Nighteya over a year now , great value and light
  8. Hey Might need to refresh the block , I am looking at off the shelf prebuilt blocks for quick turn around Does the Supra have a matching serial number on the Factory block to the car or is it just 2jzgte cast stamp? If you can associate the block to the car, I would rather get my block built and keep the car as original as posible
  9. Yes to all the Q's , it is mapped for 95 octane They never tested NF octane booster and based on the ECUTEK logs on track from a GTR, NF had better detonation protection than the 102 octane race fuel Mk3 Supra GTE was also tested on the dyno here with and without NF , helped greatly with detonation - - - Updated - - - Yes to all the Q's , it is mapped for 95 octane They never tested NF octane booster and based on the ECUTEK logs on track from a GTR, NF had better detonation protection than the 102 octane race fuel Mk3 Supra GTE was also tested on the dyno here with and without NF , helped greatly with detonation
  10. To combat the 95 octane only available, I am fitting a flexi fuel sensor Availability of ethanol is scarce here, either from a fuel store selling 1 litre bottles for a home ethanol powered fire or vp race M1 In terms of ratio to petrol (95), how many litres do you need? The main aim is to reduce the risk of detonation. I currently use nf octane booster I trying to verify if ethanol or water injection is more cost effective The sensor still provides the benifit of fuel temperature either way
  11. They are larger as you remove the oe rubber bung, I ordered them Will see how it goes, appears to be a bit of a pita to remove the exhaust valve cover oe breather barb Will get the oe valve covers polished
  12. Love it Great to see another car get the attention to detail! Best of luck with her
  13. This is for the motorcycle What is a good method of flushing the bikes cooling system, has a build up of crap in there Cannot find any form of flush, read a bit of water and white vinegar, bring up to temp, drain, repeat 3-4 times
  14. Anybody use these yet , save the hassle of trying to find a welder http://www.radiumauto.com/10AN-Male-Swivel-Banjo-Press-Fit-Fittings-P1346.aspx
  15. These are the ones Murray Motorsport have http://www.aeroloc.co.uk/products The big difference with the bike faring faster is the lack of a spring
  16. The biggest issue I find, you really need to try before you buy Especially with fiberglass or plastic, the panel and frame thickness is not consistent Most of the fasteners are only available online plus they are €€€
  17. The ones on the bike just clip on and it snugly secures the faring, very little force force is applied I suppose on a bike, the may be prone to cracking with the vibration if too tight The ones above seem to be more geared towards automotive application and fit for purpose, for what I need
  18. The fasteners I have are for motorcycle fairings to retain in place, I do not think they are designed to prevent the faring from moving Have the car booked into Murray Motorsport Tuesday for alignment, will see what they might have
  19. They did indeed Looks cool but I prefer the fasteners to be hidden, I would ideally like to do the whole retntion system on the front in the push button style ; undoing bolts is a pain in the ass It is handy t have quick access for inspection and to keep things relatively clean before they get too ingrained
  20. Hey Getting the front bumper off is a real pita , I installed Dzus fasteners as used on Motorbike farings ; only issue is they do not grip the bumper enough to hold it in place ; the gap between the wing and bumper is 3-4 mm ; looks crap Looking for somebody with experience in motorsport area , Is there a retention system , preferable push button style , will retain the vertical load ?
  21. No all good , same ride height as the TRD setup
  22. Glad she looks like before, did 4km drive, first impressions, she soaks up the bumps, everything is set to KW default settings Compared to the TRD Bilsteins she feels like she is on air, a bit floaty at the moment but will give it some mileage before I adjust anything She is off to Murray Motorsport Tuesday for an alignment and super pro lower camber adjustment bushes What do you lads run? Compression and dampening
  23. I am not going to butcher a 400 euro set of oe mounts if I don't have to Taking the suspension off today, its clear the instructions are for pre face-lift mounts (are now discontinued), face-lift mounts are different in construction
