  1. I will throw mine in the Mix because I am great! Spec is BPU http://eliteautoclean.com/wp-content/gallery/gallery/copy_0_suprainterior.jpg
  2. Good stuff, wack some petrolum jelly (vaseline) on the spad terminals to pervent corrosion
  3. I used the one in Baldoyle Road Baldoyle Dublin 13 a few times , she runs better on Texaco ; same with Simons Skyline I know Robbie (TDP) did try the E5 when mapping cars; from what I remember they had inconsistant fuel batchs They recommended sticking to Texaco and Esso for consistancy, they found these to be the most stable I will try it again! But I definetly dont think it is even 98 octane; I think the AA did a test on the fuel , I will see if I can find it A few of the guys here were mixing X % of E85 and Petrol to up the Octane
  4. I had a look into Octane boosters, if you go by their Octane rating (if it is to be belived) I would need to use 3 bottles per full tank, most of the octane boosters cost 12 euro a pop so 36 euro on top of a full tank starts to get very $$$$$ Thats why I was looking at Sunoco, at least you are sure of the octane rating
  5. First step I would try is , test your horn against your battery; Detach the horn from the vehicle, and connect it directly to battery power using jumper wires. If the horn fails to work, replace it. If it does work there, go to the next step.
  6. The Supra horn operates when the one wire is earthed, so it will only need one. The feed coming out to the button just requires a ground, the button just completes the circuit, you can normally ground 1 side of the button to the wheel hub if you get my meaning. (The horn I have is self grounding, hence the one connection) http://www.rhdjapan.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/5e06319eda06f020e43594a9c230972d/18856/Image/Normal/Image3.jpg
  7. The Gear knob seems to have a Chrome coating; but the Top secret gear was a pity on cold/hot days
  8. I tried this before and reset the ECU(disconnect the battery for a few mins) ; I find she runs best on Texaco ; just sluggish on Maxol , the 99 octane claim I would put money on it ; it is bogus Ethanol has an octane of 113. This means that E5 (5% ethanol, 95% RON95) has an octane of only 96. You need E20 to get an octane of 99 What I was considering was, mixing with Sunoco Supreme 114 @ 25% minimum In Ireland, €130 all in per 25 litre drum but carriage is 80+ vat http://www.aaoil.co.uk/racing-Sunoco-Supreme-leaded-racing-fuel Full tank is 60 liters at 25% is 15 liters Sunoco and remainder 95 ron pump fuel ;so you are talking 78 euro per tank to have use 15 liters of Sunoco ; very $$$$$
  9. Greddy -- I dont have any issues with Cold / hot in the Summer; not too sure what the gear knob is coated with http://eliteautoclean.com/wp-content/gallery/gallery/copy_0_suprainterior.jpg
  10. Awesome, will keep a look out for the Issue
  11. What ever you do dont get the Top secret Gear knob, junk! Tarnisned after 2-3 weeks Love my Greddy one!
  12. Cool thanks ,I have a chart here but she had a boost leak so not too sure how useful it is
  13. thanks! I am not too sure what rom it is but I have read up on the features; From what I remember reading you can have two roms; one that raises the boost cut to 1.3 and another to 1.4 Analyse is an ECU set to provide alteration of high boost & rev control at high speed driving, and provides accurate engine control in various conditions, such as partial range, street driving, and engine idling. Resetting items of Analyse: * Fuel map resetting. -- Not too sure if this is altered * Ignition map resetting. -- Not too sure if this is altered * Rev limiter resetting. -- NO, same as stock * Speed limiter cancellation. -- Yes * Boost limiter cancellation. -- Yes
  14. What about Water injection to safeguard the engine from knock and detonation ?
  15. Have all the bpu mods last 3 years , afrs are fine at 1.2 bar but will this catch knock?
  16. I was down getting a Geo setup on the car, Wez (WKD Imports) is very familar with the 2jz from running a pro team in the UK and Irish Drifting plus he has had numerous Toyota variants running the 2jz He just asked me if it was remapped and just suggested it was a good idea (he doesnt map cars) so just wanted to run it by you guys. I do remember Tony saying his engine went pop before when he was here. My car is running 95 last 5 years here on standard ECU; just taught I would ask. It most likely is not an issue in the uk as 98 octane is available
  17. BPU, maybe in Parallel versus Sequential like Malcoms
  18. Emailed one of the Tuners here in Ireland, outlined the spec of the car which is fairly basic and his recommendations on what ECU to use with the stiplualtion I want the ECU to control the boost. Outline the Price and primarily I was looking for advice on best application for my needs. Response I recieived was "How much do you want to spend" About sums it up over here, was hoping for a bit more insight. Ah well, looks like RyanG will have another customer!
  19. Jspec , sorry didnt think Jspec and UK cars had different ECU's on a 2jzgte
  20. Hey Running , SARD Analyse ROM on Stock ECU I had the Supra AFR's checked out last year , everything was spot on. 95 Octane is only available here so would it be recommended to get her remapped ? Was talking to one of the garages over here , they dont remap cars but he said any of the 2jzgte cars he got; after a remap she ran alot smoother. What would tuners recommend? Ideally I would like a syvecs but you would really need to have the car mapped using the local fuel available here
  21. Colin looks after mine a treat too! Sorry to see this shane , seen their prices for an evo oil change they posted today and was surprised at the price plus length of time they quoted just to change the oil , 1.5 hours for just oil and filter ! I could do it quicker and i am not a mechanic
  22. I was thinking Satin black or buying all new panels!
