  1. I suggest you save for a hypertune and Virtual Works or at least buy a used hypertune,Virtual Works, GReddy, JUN You pay for what you get, they cut cornors manufacturing the ebay items hence the price. If money is tight get a used item or stick with stock untill you can afford one

  3. Thanks guys! If I factor in Petrol and Ferry costs to the UK it would be very $$; unless I was going over the the uk to get major work done it is just not cost effective. Probably cheaper to fly Ryan here
  4. Hey Chris Is there any difference between the Motec and Syvecs? Compariable price range units or maybe Unit X of Syvecs/Motec surpasses even mor expensive units in either companies range. Just got a quote of 3K euro over here in Ireland for the Syvecs, drive in drive out. I never remember it being so expensive with the usual culprits, HKS Vpro, Apexi Power FC etc are the Motec and Svyecs for a 2jz application complete over kill? Or are they that good, the old 90's hardware is like black and white TV at this stage? Just would like some imparcial information, I was hoping to get it from the mapper over here; he is Motec, Syvecs , HKS writer Irish retailer but all I got was how much can you afford I was hoping he could say application X costs X and differentiates based on X features, pricing etc I gave him my intial goal , BPU mapped for 95 octane and I would like it to be future proofed
  5. Syvecs S6 Toyota Supre Mk iv adaptor loom 8 Position Calibration Switch 4 Bar Mapsensor Kit with plug 3 Port Boost Solinoid Bosch Wideband Knock Sensor Full knock control upgrade for S6 Instalation Mapping Roughly works out at 3100 Euro
  6. Same route I want to take Let me know how you get on , advise, price , spec etc thanks
  7. Thanks, but I dont think my mum will be too happy with the washing tomorrow
  8. I was talking to the local motorsport guys here and didnt mention it; as the car had it from Japan I dont have a clue how old it is, it may just be wear N tear after X years. I am just afraid to take the chance at around 300 euro (minus customs and Shipping) .Even reading on the web; the Spline designs seem to have play a certain amount of play, I am a bit reserved to buy any of them especially online, incase I did have issues http://www.rhdjapan.com/odula-universal-quick-release-boss-adapter-17692 The unit I have, I cannot see anything worn on it but once its on the car it does rattle if you lightly hold the wheel or try to move the wheel up and down
  9. I think the Snapoff R1000H looks like a better piece of kit plus cheaper if you factor in Customs and VAT I would be 99% sure my 30 euro ball lock Ebay quick release unit would fit the hub, rendering it a very aesthically expensive item. I know they have covers you can lock but thats any extra 60 euro ontop of the 278 euro minus VAT and Customs I can get the snap off R1000H all in for 278 euro
  10. Thanks Dunk, but after owning a Spline design and reading they do suffer with Play I am just a bit wearly of the spline design. Snapoff R1000H does state it has zero play plus the FIA but more so the TUV approval is what I like to see
  11. Just added security, I reckon it is the best security you can have on your car even over an alarm! The car came in from Japan with one (Odula) but it had play in it, plus she has a short boss kit so the steering wheel is a bit too far away (bolted to the hub on its own). I need to move the sit forward but my legs are a bit cramped now. I could get the driftworks one but it is a chiense manufactured Item( I believe you pay for what you get); I just would prefer to have something TUV/FIA approved , piece of mind it will not come off! I dont want to end up writing the car off for the sake of 178 euro. I am sure the the driftworks will suffice but I just dont thrust them after the Identical ebay looking Item, they are copy of the works bell kit. If I get a driftworks Item ; a cheap ebay item can be easily bought for very littler euro to fit the hub ball lock system , rendering it useless as a security device. What i liked about the Odula item is nobody knew what it was and it was not easily available or known so you cant just buy a cheap item on ebay to fit the hub, making it an effective security measure.
  12. Anybody know how you would connect a car horn to this , R1000H Snapoff kit (7 pin connection) I was onto Murray Motorsport but I am a bit confusded when they say just connect the wire (for the Car horn) Is it as simple as , solder a wire to it or get the appropriate Terminal
  13. Thanks , think I will go with one of these! Works bell unit is close to 300 euro!

    What turbo?

Is the manifold used not just as important? What about the Sound Performance Quick spool Valve
  15. Its just bolted up to the boss, might get a driftworks ; just afraid of build quality
  16. But i really want somwthing safe on , don't want the wheel coming off while driving
  17. http://www.murraymotorsport.ie/products/snap-off-quick-release-r1000-hub-fitment-fia Was thinking of getting fia approved one but not too sure if you could connect the horn to it; anybody any experience with these?
  18. Hey, failed the mot with the quick release off ebay; too much play I had an odula before , about 300 pounds but it also had play in it; any body know of one that has no play Can i just bit up the steering wheel with no quick release to the hub? Thanks
  19. All explained in here http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?94705-BPU-(Basic-Performance-Upgrade)
  20. Depends, they only have one for the 5 m/t not the 6 speed http://www.trdparts.jp/english/parts_shift-knob.html
