  1. Thanks will have a read
  2. That is true but it still looks like a nice bit of kit! Just wondered if anybody did bite the bullet and get one! Just looking through accessories and features of both ECU's, not too sure who was playing catch up with who; they both have external CAN displays: ProEFI Color CAN Display v2/ Syvecs Toucan Display etc very similar in design
  3. I didn't see anybody in the EU on the dealer list but looking at the mapping tutorial Larry (soundPerformance) posted, the software looks fairly easy to use I would nearly go as far to say, after a bit of reading/research I would be confident to give it a go Marty over here should be using one on his 2UR-GSE V8 Supra
  4. Is anybody in the UK running a PROEFI ECU yet? Very popular choice State Side
  5. Now the outside air temp has increased she is falling well short of 1.2, during cold air temps she would over boost up to 1.3+ if you kept your foot in Everytime I get in the car I find myself having to keep messing with the duty cycle or Start duty cycles if she is over/under boosting in X Gear
  6. thanks My Duty cycle 45-48 mark @ 1.2 desired boost Feedback is 211111, I know the guide says 3 2 2 2 2 Start Duty, I mainly have to curb this on 3rd and 4th gear due to over boosting (up to minus 2 - 4) Everything get thrown out of wack when the Air Temperature either goes up or down, you have to mess around with the settings again
  7. Thanks, I will download the guide again and set it up again I don't think I coukd ever get her in self learning mode, xxxx My feedback speed of tge solenoid I reduced to 211111 I will double check her again, just concious of over boosting
  8. Just out of curiosity, I have an Apexi AVCR boost controller, depending on the air temp outside you have to adjust the duty cycle to get the desired boost. If it is too cold out she can over boost or too warm out and she will under boost (She is setup based off the MKIV.com tuning guide), get very annoying adjusting the overall duty cycle and the Start duty cycles if she starts under/over boosting in X gear Is it possible to get some form of (after market ECU I presume you need) to adjust your boost to the desired level regardless of outside temps ; form of dynamic boost controller that is intelligent enough to adjust your duty cycle to your desired boost level
  9. Stunning! After 3 weeks ,got mine finally washed the weekend too!
  10. Coin has the twin in his t67, sounds like stock, pedal feel too; nice clutch!
  11. That does not sound right! But it looks like your RPS is normal , looking at youtube The Stock Dual-Mass flywheel does all the dampening so when you put in an aftermarket solid Flywheel the gearbox sounds like a bag of spanners In saying that my Carbonetic does not sound anywhere near as noisy, I heard the SPEC clutches too, they are very quiet too in comparsion [video=youtube;3d-hglxwWl4]
  12. http://www.thejournal.ie/changes-motor-tax-arrears-857800-Apr2013/ SORN is here for Ireland, but with a twist If they are recouping 55M, do you think our motor tax rates will be reduced! ha ha Two TD's put forward the proposal to abolish flat rate Motor tax and add it to fuel but Noonan pulled 20cent increase on fuel out of his arse and claimed it will have a disproportionate increase to motorists who use the roads for long distances! God forbid a road user should pay-per-use! Tax in the fuel is the smart way forward! • Reduce costs: No Motor tax offices, redistribute workers, eliminate IT systems associated with Motortax • Free up Gardaí resources • Haulers can claim back the VAT/Tax on Fuel • Wider net: Everybody pays based on use, (non-residents captured) • Evasion will be near impossible • Promotes people buying more efficient vehicles
  13. I will bring the Miata and the Supra, if you guys are bring Supra's
  14. Sorry Guys, I didn't realize it was the bank holiday weekend, Dad's 60th so heading off to Amsterdam that weekend
  15. Welcome back! AFAIK, Nigel still has his Red UK Supra for Sale!
  16. Stunning John! Now get out and drive her!
  17. https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/150703_450328015039850_1519366924_n.jpg Is anybody here going,I was thinking of heading up for the 20th Anniversary if we get a few Supra's !
  18. Mini Supra meet at OTD15 ! It is getting ridiculous down South, it is only going to go one way $$$; they are pricing people off the road. They don't comprehend the concept something is better than nothing A Performance Classic car or a Motorbike will soon be the only option for me, Kills me to give these guys this extortionate amount of money for the little use I get out of the car
  19. I am getting Stevo to set me up with his sister in-law(Derry) ha ha Going to head up to the Toyota Anniversary in May and check in on Lauren
  20. That's the plan OTD15, she needs the water pump changed so we are doing the T-Belt too and Cam cover gasket, Cam sensor O ring ; we are collecting her on Sunday so 4 Days to get her up and running! We may leave the rollcage painting till after the 10th Eoin was looking at a Garrett Turbo kit there, 25mm setup; Miata something or other is the name of the company in the States. Very well made , plug and play unit 1800 euro 2nd hand off a guy in Dublin, he didn't want to pay the VRT on his
  21. Definitely is only hardcore enthusiasts who can justify the price, unless you have a high turnover of disposable income I will tax her for the summer and review my options end of July From what I hear they are trying to bring the budget forward, we will see an increase in ownership by the end of the year through current means or further stealth taxes I heard tgey may Put the motortax contract out for tender, to privatise public motortax compliance, they are using toll cameras too
  22. Same happened to me, first I taught it was dirt but realized somebody trying to parallel park beside the Supra , scraped the front of the bumper, like claw marks on her. Luckily for me , my friend is a detailer, once he seen it , he was nearly sure he could buff it out; and he did it was more paint transfer off the other car than panel damage! One of the ladies in a Silver Corolla parks there sometimes, her car has a dent on every panel, even the roof FFS! I have seen her trying to park before, very nervous driver, buried into the front windscreen but you cant accuse her as I cannot prove it! Glad you got some good news, Gabriella ! It is the downside to having a nice car!
  23. I have a little Mx5 Track car now Damien! Just got a rollcage fitted, collecting her on Sunday The way things are going over , I am getting pushed towards 2 wheels , Ducati or Harley. To top it all off, the proposal to SORN your car, you need to physically go to the tax office (no intentions of incorporating via Online) plus they want to charge you 25 euro to SORN your car! Everything about having a decent car here stinks! Stealth taxes left right and Centre, Motorist is always an easy target What I am thinking, Have the little Mx5 for the Track (Turbo / Supercharge her!) Ducati for a nice day and my 1 liter Polo for getting around. or option 2 is get a 1976 LB2000GT Celica , drop a 1jzgte in her and 52 euro motor tax a year ! I don't know if people who lived within their means over here are the losers in all this mess , I am sure as hell paying for the others who lived the champagne lifestyle on a McDonalds wage!
  24. Same as uk rates, something stupid like 300 euro for the year as she is over 10 years old! Rates over here went up again, didn't realize the jump because it is the first time I am taxing her since the increase I am sure somebody could work it out, (I don't want to ) what it costs me to just sit in the car and turn the engine over ; ha ha Something stupid like 20 euro a key turn A 2013, 3 liter bi-turbo 245ps diesel Audi is only 345 euro for the year
  25. I think I am off my head sometimes! Serious waste of money A lot of cash for driving something for an hour or 2 a week; 60 euro a month for parking too Tax Band : 2901 - 3000 Annual : 1494 Euro Half Year : 829 Euro Quarter Year : 422 Euro
