  1. Think its 19mm, back in my day we didn't have these highly sophisticated silicon bungs lol I have two walking stick rubber bungs in place about six years now
  2. What happened to the walking stick bungs we use to use lol http://m.ebay.ie/itm/260999596168?nav=SEARCH&sbk=1
  3. Just to throw it in the mix, my 2 way Carbonetics doesn't have noise, knocking, wheel hop; I didn't experience any off throttle corner entry understeer, when she does step out of line she is very controllable. I have an Aristo diff in her now temporarily but noticeably in the wet , she would happily sit at the traffic lights spinning the inside wheel no matter how soft you take off, few times on the Motorway in the wet or dry the back will step out with some throttle, can easily catch you out and nearly did when I was overtaking a bus on the motorway in the wet, nice drift between the armco and the bus, it was a brown pants moment. The 2 way carbonetics did not have this issue, just point and shoot , she gripped, if you wanted you could get her to step out, under heavy braking going down the box she will wiggle around abit, you just keep her inline with the feel through your arse and some steering inputs but I like the 2 way diff, you get the to be in full control. Reminds me of a 911, with the torsen diff she sits and waits plotting to kill me They are dangerous, unpredictable compared to 1.5 or 2 way , its bloody annoying coming out of a corner, wasting all that power spinning one wheel, all noise no action Only problem with the Carbonetics is the the 3000KM oil interval changes, based on this I would go TRD or OsGiken.
  4. TRD Diff is only 2-way on FR vehicles, Looking at oil change intervals on 1.5 OsGiken Super lock LSD -- 3000km after installation then it is every 20,000KM(http://www.osgiken.net/upload/d35.pdf) I would imagine the TRD Diff is a similar interval, as for track days, regardless of Diff best practice is to change your oil after each track day. Only reservation I have regarding the OsGiken is sourcing the oil (OS250R LSD Oil), I know Paul Whiffin has it in stock but it is not something readily available here in the EU if Paul stops selling it. I also priced up the two diffs a few months back and there is a noticeable gap in price, TRD coming in cheaper. Tough decision alright! But it looks like it comes down to price as the deciding factor
  5. Thanks! And Thanks for the thread , exactly what I need My approach is Dremel CONE shaped Aluminum Oxide Grinding Stone for the curb rash Sand paper 400 grit, 1500 grit and 2000 grit Steel Wool - SUPER fine grit Aluminum wheel polish - Autosol Microfiber cloth Just 3 Q's What is the reasoning behind wet versus dry sanding? The GTC wheel, do you just bolt them back up or do you need to use some form of sealant around the rim? What torque settings did you use?
  6. Do you have a link Jim, all I can find is http://www.salixembroidery.co.uk/club/supra-owners-club/ I dont see the Calendar there - - - Updated - - - Edit found it http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?224835-Online-Shop
  7. Think I will give it a go myself and see how I go, does anybody know if the polished lip has some sort of lacquer on it Just wondering will it look crap after I polish them, to do it I will need to remove the lacquer
  8. Sounds very $$ to me but he was insistent it is a big job to disassemble them and reassemble 150 euro per wheel to polish the lip ! I would rather give it a go myself or leave them as is
  9. Hey I got some curb rash, was thinking of getting the lip of the rim polished over the winter and the curb rash fixed. I dropped out to a Local Wheel Repair place today for a quote and he quoted me 600 euro to Take the wheel apart and polish the Rim. I nearly feel over, the centers are fine and no paint required! Was thinking, of splitting the rim myself for him to refurb. Is it a big task? What Torque do you redo the nuts to? Anybody have a guide line price to for this work, polished the lip and curb rash?
  10. Hey The oil filter is relocated 2-3 cm above the lower Passenger suspension arm since import; was thinking of relocating it to a safer place. Any do' and dont's or recommended places to put it?
  11. Thanks they are the buzz words I need, Petrol in oil was not doing it for me
  12. Thanks David , Never heard of it before; every day is a school day
  13. Hey My friend Skyline was over fueling , the tuner mentioned it could contaminate the Oil with Petrol and cause excessive wear on the bearings. Any truth to this
  14. http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-899-motul-gear-300-75w-90-racing-gearbox-and-differential-lubricant-100-synthetic-ester-based.aspx Just changed the oil on the gearbox, huge improvement; much easier to change gear, smoother and not as notchy Definitely recommend it Bring 3 litres
  15. I would be more interested in Torque, if you can have it too

  20. Hey just in from the MOT , they said to keep an eye on the rear wheel bearing but replace it if I can, small bit of play Do you need an Alignment if you change the bearing? Automotive bearings or OEM Toyota? Do you need to replace the rear axel shaft too?(drive flanges) Good practice to do both sides at the same time? http://www.garagewhifbitz.co.uk/index.php/automotive-bearings-3460.html
