  1. Just did then again in satin black , looked crap so re-did them in paint in the kit again
  2. Its annoying me Jim, the amount of effort to take them off and clean them , I want a better finish Just re-ordered some Supra Decals, going to give them a light sand and a spray of Satin Black hopefully will look better!

  4. Hey I painted my Calipers with a foam brush as per Kit instructions, I am not 100% happy with the finish Wasting your time using those foam brushes and paint brushes, foam brush puts it on too thick and if you use a normal brush and thin coats , you get brush strokes Was thinking of Hammerite non high temp Satin black, you can only seem to get high temp in matt black Question Can I just sand back the black a bit and then spray or would I need to strip the whole caliper of paint?
  5. Oil filter is relocated, she is not leaking in that area , worse case I will just take the kit off it and put the oil filter back in as per OEM - - - Updated - - - Thanks Digsy, will clean it all down and see what I can find, good to know what to look out for
  6. Hey Oil filter Relocation sandwich Plate area Steering Rack area Last few months I noticed some weeping around the engine area;Since the car is parked up I got a better indication of were the oil is leaking from. Some of this may be run off from the same leak but I need to clean the engine and pinpoint if it is 3 leaks or just 1-2 Oil levels in Power steering, engine have not moved in months and power steering in years; my mechanic said the leak is so small not to worry about it but I would rather fix it. I did notice the oil leak when I put in 5W40 millers in ( odd smudge on the ground), I had the Fuchs 10w50 Pro S in there previous Oil filter Relocation sandwich Plate area I have 5w40 Millers oil in here so may that is too thin and a contributing factor to the leak, I need to investigate and pin point the location first. Steering Rack area Anything prone to leak in this area, Seals known to go etc, I may not be from my car but worth asking so I know what to focus on
  7. I have mine done about 2 years now, used Fabric spray with a UV protector; still as black and the dye never came off http://www.fabricspray.ie/shop/upholstery-spray-paint/midnight-black https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash2/541349_369270716442254_970458022_n.jpg https://scontent-b-lhr.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-frc3/294952_369271206442205_622827940_n.jpg https://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/540645_369244703111522_1258244767_n.jpg
  8. Not too sure Jim , ideally you want the aluminium as fresh as possible for the best finish The rear face of the bell housing wasn't polished so will post up pics , some pitting on mine but they are on the car at least 7 years Wasn't too sure if I was wasting my time polishing them but the shop anodising them said the better the prep, the better the finish Will see, hopefully have them back by Friday - - - Updated - - - Not too sure Jim , ideally you want the aluminium as fresh as possible for the best finish The rear face of the bell housing wasn't polished so will post up pics , some pitting on mine but they are on the car at least 7 years Wasn't too sure if I was wasting my time polishing them but the shop anodising them said the better the prep, the better the finish Will see, hopefully have them back by Friday
  9. Just dropped them off today, wire brushed them with a dremel and polished them with Autosol, here they are side by side; I didn't bother doing the rear or the disc as they wont be seen, a lot of work to polish them Also Polished the Bolts
  10. thanks for the info , going to GTechniq C5 Wheel Armour them as suggested by Jimo, then use peeks polish and maybe Autosol if I need to remove oxidation or rust
  11. Getting my Volk GTC's Lip , re-polished ; Guy in the shop said not to bother with the Lacquer Is it better to get them to Lacquer them or all the same? He argument was the Lacquer is higher maintenance than just polishing them and no Lacquer
  12. Thanks guys, Just got them acid dipped and are now in fresh coke for the night Not too sure if it's enough, to get a good anodised finish, some marks are in the metal
  13. Hey Quick q , I need my aluminium brake rotor bells brought back to raw state for anodising , sand blasting is too harsh for aluminium any advice i tried oven cleaner on them , will try brake cleaner next ans see how it goes I have some por metal prep too, etches the metal and zinc coats
  14. I am definitely function over form , I would stay away from too many shiney things; nightmare to keep on top of them, cam covers are probably the only shiney pieces I will do I would keep you cash for a rainy day of maybe get some nice seats, and new OEM dash panels/Plastic dip satin black (if they look a bit tired) I wouldnt go too crazy on the interior, a clean stock interior is the best with maybe some seats like the Bride Brix II leather, Gias or stradia
  15. +2 , exterior is finished Maybe some engine tidy up with , engine bay boxs etc and a clean
  16. thanks, I PM'd a few of the US guys and nobody got back I think I have a rough Idea of a Filter , looking at opie oils site
  17. I am going to make my own if, nobody is interested. The first turbo flange should be fairly easy to make once you measure up the dimensions, Turbo inlet diameter and the turbo housing bolt diameter Deciding on what K&N filters to run is the issue, I would like to have part numbers rather than trying to figure out sizes from the universal range, buy them and hope they will work, once you have them just work backwards from there Walt could possible go wrong
  18. Any trader be interested in making a kit with K&N Filters? Guys on Supra forums are looking for some too **I know the stock airbox is the best, Toyota spent millions on R&D etc but these look cool and sound awesome http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?523155-Dual-Intake-for-Stock-Twins&p=9919297#post9919297 https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-frc3/t1/1620578_10200475748056248_332204814_n.jpg https://scontent-b-ams.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-frc1/t1/1779984_10200475748216252_1321100810_n.jpg https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-frc3/t1/1620578_10200475748056248_332204814_n.jpg
  19. Just asked Eamon who works in proparts, 500 euro for front and rear 3g disc's Front set are around 300 euro mark
  20. Proparts in Dublin should have them http://www.pro-parts.ie/products.asp?id=66
  21. I think it is a good idea, but I think a step further is putting it on the fuel, • Reduce costs: No Motor tax offices, redistribute workers, eliminate IT systems associated with Motor tax • Free up Police resources • Wider net: Everybody pays based on use, (non-residents captured) • Evasion will be near impossible • Promotes people buying more efficient vehicles Same as with Ireland , I think governments are afraid they may loose out at the exchequer
  22. Its 1700 euro to tax my 1993 Supra for the year here, If you want to pay mine I will send you the disc so you can tear the disc from the perforations
