  1. In comparison to the AEM Infinity looks like it is running a 40mhz cpu versus a 200 mhz of the AEM , I suppose the 64gb data logging of the AEM is not something to rave over , it is just Data logging capacity not a key feature, just nice to have if even if it is way over kill But the Digital trigger of the Link looks like a huge plus for the Skyline guys Does the Link also support direct injection or VE tuning? AEM was talking about a firmware update to release DI , not too sure if they did Is VE tuning the way to go ? If you bought one of the modern ECU's, considering the firmware updates, do you need to get re-mapped if a patch is installed? Nice to get a comparison between the Syvecs , AEM Infinity , Link G4 + Extreme and a ProEFI; seem to be the brands to get or then again maybe a HKS Vcon Pro. I suppose the huge advantage with the new modern ECU's is the transition to the Canbus system
  2. Thanks for the Review Gpro , looks like a nice piece of kit and after looking at the software , it is very tempting to give mapping a go
  3. Anybody running a Link G4+ Extreme ECU, looks like a nice bit of kit Skyline guys seem to be praising the digital trigger solution to replace the CAS sensor
  4. They look very small , from what I gather the ones inside the arch liner are 8/6mm X 20 I got the plastic plugs yesterday http://www.ebay.ie/itm/171195609342?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
  5. Very nice, love the wheels ! Starting to lean more towards a functional engine bar over the show car bling
  6. Probably Jake https://scontent-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpf1/v/t1.0-9/10325549_10201226514664944_7185029433263557611_n.jpg?oh=92d382261df4ac1ad188e79c81b9e879&oe=549553EA https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xfp1/v/t1.0-9/10462638_10201226514944951_6631191895026176563_n.jpg?oh=5e6c594e3fbe8a72df7ac6da32049c85&oe=54A0A45F&__gda__=1418603834_a064cae8a8f7eb24c3326e08ff603d42
  7. sorry for the thread Hijack You do it for comfort, thats why I ran a 35 profile , other than the speedo being off a little I dont think it affects handling
  8. Was a 30 profile not closer to the OEM rolling radius? I am running a 285 35 19 and was going to go 285 30 19 or back to a 275
  9. This car for me , is my ultimate looking Supra , engine power is OTT but build quality looks stunning http://www.suprastore.com/19trdwi6sp10.html
  10. Cool thanks, its just a misting in the pipes
  11. Just out of curiosity , might just be a build up of gunk around the BOV over 8 years but my turbos are 21 years old now I presume it is normal for the intercooler piping to have some oil residue , but looks like my BOV is blowing oil?
  12. Just finished Complete intake pipe out Front turbo hard plpe and loom bracket tray so you can get at the bolts for the pipe 4 jublie clips on the link pipes Section of the. Greedy intercooler piping removed over by the intake Tools needed are a 10mm and 12mm , socket extentions , 1/2 and 1/4 drive rachcets, Philips and flat head screwdrivers Link pipe removal is messy, pulling and pushing , same to get the new ones back in ; tight squeeze Might make life easier to remove the rear turbo pipe too but the by is up against the firewall so up to you I would estimate 1-1.5 hrs for a novice mechanic like me My pipes are not too bad on a 21 year old car, not bad enough to cause enough restriction to imped performance Loom Bracket Tray
  13. Just swapping out mine now , What a Bitch! Cant get off the front two bolts for the hard Turbo pipe , welded on I am going to need a bigger Ratchet They better be collapsed inside!
  14. Got the h&r installed , few weeks to get all the parts, but the difference in how solid the front feels now, no vibrations and steering input is crisper , thanks for all the advice!
  15. Non-VVTI Jspec 2jzgte, I got mine from Toyota for 25 gbp + vat each
  16. Are they 6mm self tappers ? The front of the arch liner is not pinned against the inner arch (behind the head light ), causing rubbing on full lock. Just want to pin it back up
  17. My bad got it from here they are a 45 profile http://mkiv.supras.org.nz/specs.htm
  18. USA is also a good call but you probably we waiting around for 2-3 weeks for delivery , probably save a few pound after customs but in Ireland most of the time I dont get stung by customs so it is worth the gamble if i am not in a hurry for the part. But in fairness to Toyota Ireland , they have dropped their prices alot here compared to the UK , even with the difference in vat, UK is coming in about 20%+ more expensive after shipping
  19. OEM recommendation is 36 psi all round , if you car is running the OEM rolling radius , you should be running 36 psi I played around with ranges from 32-36, I found a happy medium with 33-34 psi with regards tyre wear and comfort , with 36 psi I just found too much tramplining I run 19 35 245 and 19 35 285 rears , from the stock rolling radius the fronts are out by 1.68 % , the rears are out by 6.03% , Ideally I should be running a 30 profile rear OEM Tyres - front 235/45ZR-17 OEM Tyres - rear 255/45ZR-17 http://www.carbibles.com/tyre_size_calculators.html
  20. USA Parts -- can get through MVP Motorsports http://www.villagetoyotaparts.com/showAssembly.aspx?ukey_assembly=359669&ukey_product=2064407 UK: http://tcbparts.co.uk/ Crank Shaft Pulley Genuine Toyota Supra 3.Oi JZA 80 N/A & Twin Turbo (1993 onward) Part number: 13407-46020 Special Offer Price: £198.57 + vat while stock last
  21. Toyota Ireland is 28 gbp + VAT eack
  22. Jspec 2jzgte, Part numbers for Turbo link pipes
  23. http://nora.ie/biofuels-obligation-scheme.141.html Interesting: In Ireland The obligation was increased from the 1st January, 2013 from 4.166% Ethanol mix to 6.383% via the BOIS scheme(Biofuel Obligation Scheme ) The key word there is "obligation". Nice read: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_ethanol_fuel_mixtures
  24. Just go OEM KIT , if you have aftermarket cam pulleys , some recommend not using a kevlar belt as it can prematurely wear away the hard coating on the gears http://www.unorthodoxracing.com/instruct/AG1271.pdf
