  1. OsGiken comes with an adapter kit to change the OE setup, Just remove it https://osgiken.net/c-1280294-performance-clutch-additional-parts-movement-alteration-kit.html Install the OE dualmass flywheel and clutch
  2. If the vacuum hoses where never changed I would swap out with Gates Racing , inexpensive , piece of mind Same as OE Vacuum Hose Sizes 4mm 3 metres 5mm 1 metre 6mm 1 metre https://www.ebay.ie/itm/330803508813?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&var=540090527961&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  3. Most likely used the Crush waster again I had knocking noise when coming on and off throttle , it was the center Bearing assembly on the propshaft Part Number 37230-24090 I would take the prop-off and check the Bearing assembly , give it a once over ; check your Diff oil for metal filings , I cannot comment if it is excessive play in your diff
  4. What was wrong with the Fuel line , corroded ?
  5. Inspect the car on a ramp first as noted above Minimum I would re-Torque subframe bolts T Belt changed for piece of mind Valve cover seals , they are prone to leak, visually easy to see; good chance to inspect the cams, head Cam breather pipes ( would get a set in anyway, nice to have in the toolbox) OE Fuel Filter Oil filter Toyota Red Coolant, replace any coolant pipes if they are cracked and perished Brake fluid (Dependent on condition) Brake pads (Dependent on condition) Spark Plugs Inspect Coil pack clips, prone to fatigue with heat over the years, I would replace , inexpensive ; save you chasing boost issues later Inspect Coil packs for cracks OE Gear box Fluid Rear Differential Fluid Powersteering Fluid If you are doing the Tbelt or crank pulley , I would do both together with Cam seals Nice to have New Oil pump , you can inspect the big ends when the sump is off Water pump
  6. I had similar issues after 80K on my twin Carbonetic , Flywheel was worn and Clutch Plates down to the rivets ; it just got progressively worse , high gear , wot, clutch slipping and Revs shooting up Time for a new clutch and or flywheel; I would recommend OsGiken ; depending on power level , Street master I have is rated to 575ft lib's ; like OE ; comes with new Flywheel too
  7. Alexander on Instagram(trd3000gt_r) is selling a genuine kit No.14 He appears to be selling parts individually
  8. Get the nighteye with the heatsink , the fan cooled LED's , fan is known to fail No issues with the nighteye, 3 years now https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NIGHTEYE-8000LM-H4-H7-H11-9005-HB3-9006-HB4-LED-Headlight-Kit-Auto-Fog-Lamp-Bulb/132775636888?hash=item1eea0b6f98:m:mXOekkTaGsRhomgenhCzhYA:rk:7:pf:0
  9. Marty & Colin in SSI (Supra specialists Ireland) have stuffed a 2urgse V8 in a IS250 , currently have one going into a Mk4 ; nearly sure they used the 8 speed http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?271591-SSI-Lexus-IS-F-5-0L-V8-2ur-gse-!!-Project
  10. Let's not rule out the brand snob, who will pay 3k more for a Toyota over the excat same BMW, with a higher grade of interior materials, quicker and looks better, probably retain a higher resale value I would buy the Z4, save 3k
  11. Who said it is not a fantastic car to drive , the consensus is ,why label it a Supra when nothing distinguishes it as a Supra , nothing iconic was transferred over The vast majority of parts are still stamped with the BMW logo and it has a 120 X 5 PCD The BMW Z4 is a fantastic car , if I wanted to buy a Z4 I would of ; What Supra owners want, is a Supra built by Toyota , not a BMW Z4 with a Toyota badge When I first heard of the BMW partnership I was some what excited but after the unveiling and as more specifics come out ; I am very disappointed at the high percentage of the car is just Z4 M40i with a Toyota badge I would argue the BMW z4 is the nicer looking car
  12. As far as I know , I got the last of the rear lower arms , sitting on a dusty shelf in UAE Out of all the arms , these where the most difficult to source
  13. Appears the Manifold is cast into the head on the Supra version B58C (turbo 6 cylinder) ( BMW Z4 engine ??) , for the Supra BMW revised the turbo manifold design and is water-cooling the manifold Sounds like an expensive exercise to go beyond bolt on upgrades , swapping engines will potentially be cheaper but you will have to sacrifice the 50/50 weight distribution ; makes it pointless Timing Chain at the rear against the firewall , engine out of you have issues ; did BMW every fix the Tensioner issue, failing , resulting in an expensive engine out to replace? Due to the small wheel base , I do not think I would fancy anything more than what the car has now
  14. I will be shocked if the B58 can handle a high jump in power Isn't the manifold, a critical component cast into the head, requiring a completely different head to add the supporting modifications for a power increase
  15. Weak argument, the car had 320 hp, 26 years ago, only reason it was modded was due to the small outlay to get an extra 100 hp but 26 years ago, nobody was buying the car with the intention to modify it, no need to Toyota could of put any badge on the car, arguing the new model is a Supra just because Toyota said it is, idiotic, It's a BMW Z4 with a different body, nothing about the car shares any heritage with any Supra model Nobody is saying the New Supra is a bad car, I am sure it is fantastic to drive, but people have an issue associating with the Supra
  16. Are you cooling a hot disc rapidly, washing the car? The uk brakes held the world record for the shortest stopping distance of a production car, until the Porsche Carrera GT in 2002 Your car will not pull up in a shorter distance no matter what brake setup you get, you are at the limit of coefficient of Friction, better tyres would only help The big brake kits, just allow better pedal feel and longevity is increased before brake fade kicks in
  17. Apologies, misunderstood Must have similar under pinnings of the TMG 650, imagine it in the FT1 concept
  18. I saw the LC on the road during the Summer , stunning car!
  19. I cannot see it , it will kill the one of the key selling points . 50/50 weight distribution They would of done it on release , GR car will just be a wide arch body kit , Wheels with a ridiculous offset ; they will not even widen the track , re-design the suspension to accommodate We will just have to come to terms, the new Supra is a re-badged BMW Z4 middle of the road sports compact If they put a Celica , new GT86 badge on it would it make a difference , nothing distinguishes the car as a Supra , nothing iconic was transfered over ; it is only a Supra because Toyota said it is De-badge it , I would never label it a Supra , more as a new Celica
  20. I think we can all agree this has not worked when the first taughts of buying a car, body kits, remap, lighter wheels are at the forefront Supra is Toyota's flagship sports car, to conceed their flagship car is equivalent of the mid level BMW, is just disappointing, minimum if partnering, it should get twinned with the M6 They are clearly keeping all the high performance tech within the Lexus brand, to say it was a financial necessity to work with BMW, when they can leverage off Lexus, just a cop out The Supra should of at least had FT1 proportions and the power plant developed by Toyota Motorsport Germany, TMG 650 or even the new lexus RCF track edition powerplant out in 2020
  21. BMW ireland Z4 M40i 74,105 euro Toyota Ireland still has no pricing yet Expected circa 90k
  22. Germany Starting GR Supra 3.0 62,900 euros GR Supra 3.0 Premium 64,900 euros GR Supra A90 Edition 67,250 euros. Supra is down 50hp on the Z4 with the same B58 engine
