1. Never a bad thing but depending on what turbo you have, they run restrictors anyway specified in the manual. I would check first the oil drain size (make sure you haven't got a fitting smaller than the drain hole in the bearing housing or a clog) and give the PCV system a check over to see if right as not to pressurise the drain causing the pressure differential. If all this is ok, then I would be looking at a regulator.
2. Selling a Life Racing F88RS. I bought it second hand but decided to go another root. Booted it up to check it works and that's about it. £1000 + p&p
3. They are, just a deception at the beginning of the video so they can claim its a safe overtaking device.
4. Not strictly true, 3D printed parts in the bay are common it just a matter of selecting the correct type of printing process and material (E.G. you can print in high temp stuff like metal, ASA, Nylon, polycarb). In fact i've used 3D printed parts on my st205 own build and have held up post tubo - pre intercooler temps on top the engine. Scanning wise of an asset is straightforward as long as you give it to someone who knows what their doing, anyone that claims Photogrammetry is good enough for reverse engineering is a clown so avoid them if your going to go that route. It requires a lot of post clean up too as off the top of my head the stock airbox has a lot of hard to get areas.
5. We will soon find out, I just got flashed on Friday an on an unmarked gantry m25.... was under that speed by a considerable amount, berrg!
6. I do the M25 and M1 every day. These things cause more problems than they solve (if the outside lane is stopped and the inside lanes are flowing its a sign the cameras are causing the issue) but you get quite a bit of leaway and it seems randomly they trigger. I did get done last year though. Was doing 69 .... in a 60 on an empty M1
7. Selling a Syvecs to Supra loom , as I no longer need it. Swapping the ECU to another car. Thought I would see if it was any use to someone going Syvecs before I hack it up to change the connector and use it. These are £400 new I believe so i'm asking £230 + Postage or collected from the Harpenden area.
8. I've changed jobs so now will be communting 80 miles a day (better than getting london trains I suppose). Need something reliable, good mpg and can do motorway miles easily primary without breaking the bank. Looking at around £1500 but can go higher for the right car! Anyone got anything they are looking to sell? In in Harpenden but can travel Cheers!
9. Ah! Pre-coffee phone fingers.
10. Got this amazing av amp to sell. Almost brand new (3 weeks of use) only selling because I decided I want to go 5.1.4 setup and this is only capable of 5.1.2 or 7.1 Details: http://www.uk.onkyo.com/en/products/tx-nr656-129914.html Price - £490 Ono
11. Looks nice, whats it printed from to withstand the heat? Nylon? We sometime get contracts in to create models for 3D printing and I recent got myself one. Been printing all sorts of bits and bobs for the car. Also, .... can you tell whats 3D printed in this photo
12. Im one of those broken drawing types! I'm a 3D Character artist for a films and games and sculpt faster than I can draw Haha. Drawing isn't everything to make games, Thomas was alone anyone?. Drawing is just one of many mediums for communication... at least that what I keep telling myself. IMO there no such thing as "talent". It's just years of effort and improvement. So don't give up! Was going to say Jord on here is worth talking too. I would definitely focus work on your portfolio as that is what your calling card is when applying for jobs. If it doesn't blow http://www.junctioneleven.com/cgi out of the water at the moment, keep going, learn more, carry on applying, get feedback, and inject as much time as possible into it. It will get noticed eventually. On another note, make sure there's games related stuff in your portfolio and show its games related. Get things ruining in engine in an interesting way that gets you noticed. If you want to go through your portfolio drop me a PM from an CG point of view.
13. Bad news that you havent got a job yet. Bit of friendly feedback on your showreel which will be of help. Firstly on your modelling - you need to look at hard edges and how to contrast sharp edges with rounded contours. It will help add weight to the models of the cars. You look like your trying to get a realistic look . Concentrate the final lighting, materials and rendering E.G. Even a shiny surface has microbumps. For your UV mapping, I can see stretching so on a showreel needs addressing. Buy a copy of UVLayout as it is good for impatient people (like me ). Game engines are something to look at too as they have caught up with offline render engines supremely in the last 2 years. Now they can on some level rival what offline renders visually can produce hence the rise of BIM. Wait till the games industry clock this market This alows you to tweak stuff and gives you instant feedback and helps you train your eye to what looks good. Free ones like unreal 4. Lastly - Collect and check against good references. I can't stress this enough. What's your target market? 3D in general is very hard right now because making things look good is very easy due to the shear amount of tools available at reasonable prices. Mix that the shear number talented artists coming out of University who are willing to work very long hours for virtually 0 pay make it very very hard to land a good job without good contacts.

Hello form Dundee

Welcome to the club, saw you near Abertay Uni today, lovely looking Supe you have there.
16. Celica GT4 maybe? Bigger boot than the supra, Quicker than an NA with about the same fuel consumption and being 4x4 and handles well but might not satisfy the sporty bit? . Can be picked up for around 3-4k . Just make sure the suspension has been done recently.
17. Thats the nature of it though Scott, always people looking to get tech first, same happens with Iphones etc. Didn't Sony confirm they will be bringing DLNA back in a software update at some point, that is unless the prediction that they might go bust in the next 2 year comes true.... Intresting watch for techys amongst you http://www.itsartmag.com/features/the-definitive-lara/#.UuIsnhDFKM9 but still not the jumps in graphics that people expect... diminishing returns graphically within AAA games and all that.
18. Thought it was just me that doesn't really like it. Some angles it looks amazing and definitely better with the wing up but there are more angles that seem to let it down. Just feels a bit too fiddly overall for me.
19. Chris if you fancy a drive as H said his reputation is excellent and is a trader on here. Mr Martin is a perfectionist if you want something a bit closer to home... although i'm not allowed near him with broken cars anymore Not sure of many others in the north west area where Supras are their bread and butter.
20. Can't see why not but its all down to the power required and what they decide they want to cut as scott said eg required frame rate over visual effects. Too many variables on relatively untapped hardware to say for sure. On other news, apparently you can't swear at your xbox without microsoft banning you....
21. Depends on how good the studio's guess was of the hardware they were developing for I recon. They would have been developing for something they haven't seen or used until maybe 4-5 months ago so optimizations are lacking for launch games.
22. Out of interest, how many of you folks would actually use the xboxs voice control? I always see these things as gimmicks....
23. Watchdogs has been delayed for "Polish" which usually means something fundamental is wrong with the game that needs to be sorted, being as ambitious as it looks i'm not surprised. The PS4 is a good bit of kit and the xbone looks interesting and with a connect being shipped with it will make for interesting games. I will be getting a ps4 though because I'm cheap. Steambox anyone?
24. Good to hear H! How do the brakes feel now hes prodded and probed them?
