Thanks for your comments guys, the pictures do not do the car justice have to make some time to take some really nice ones. The spec is: 1994 3.0i N/A Auto - Import 57,000 miles on the clock 18" Wheelmania Stainless Steel Split rims HKS Mushroom Induction Kit 5" Big Boar Stainless Steel Exhuast Clear Side/indicator lights 2500watt bespoke sound system including two 12" Subs (which i made and installed) including TV / DVD / CD and all the rest of the gadgets & SAT NAV (important factor to not is that I have designed the ICE system to still enable the spare tyre to come out even when I have used most of the boot space. Just fitted new 3G Grooved Brake Discs all round with EBC Greenstuff pads Had it serviced by Toyota as soon as I got it and they were impressed with the car 100% no faults. Modifications coming soon: Bushed alluminium dash New Steering Wheel Interior dash lights and speedometer Tailor Made Full Leather Interior with Logos New Carpets maybe clear front indicator lights So far so good, touch wood!have owned the vehcile now just over 6 months, the car has been perfect and not let me down once and have taken it to 150mph so far without any trouble and runs like a dream. Hopefully more pics coming soon.

They are not the best pics of the car but it will have to do for now- it needed a clean at the time, it wasnt waxed/polished. Anyway got there in the end, it was worth the snow joke.

What a fooooool! I tried two times to upload them and a few files were too big - and then the pc just froze. So Here goes my third attempt .lol :-)

I finally worked out how to put some pics on here so thought I would add a picture of my Supra..have to take some nice ones as I have not yet got round to it.

I installed new discs and pads all round recently and went with the 3G Grooved Discs (not drilled as they could be prone to cracking) and also EBC Greenstuff Pads, got the lot for £363 Delivered. Though I must agree with Thorin that these pads are slighlty harder, and at top/high speeds when breaking hard, they grind a little due to their hardness. However I do get a very strong bite and stops great when applying the brake hard in normal conditions. The discs are good although I would recommend either OEM pads or TRD pads. Overall I am very pleased with the outcome so far, even whenI have not yet changed the brake lines and fluid yet. Redstuff Pads have a medium initial bite and can take higher temperatures oppsed to the Greenstuff pads which have a stronger initial bite and do not need warmining up but can handle slightly less temperatures, though I would say both are still 'hard' pads.

Well done mate...let us now how you get with them coz I was thinking of getting the same ones. However, my brother-in-law is an upholsterer specialising in real leather and I was planning on getting him to do it custom made, with my help!- even though you have the chosen the cheaper option of using leatherette I think it will still look good when fitted. Fitting should be pretty straight forward, just take out seats - strip the seats down and refit the new covers I have done it many times before. What I would advise though is that, if your original seats have wear, for example, drivers seat base spunge is disfigured/folded/squashed, is to rebuild the foam and possibly pad all the sponge on the seats with a thin 0.5-1cm thick foam/sponge sheet to make them new again. The problem of buying a new upholstered trim is the quality of your original seats and the shape they are in, thats why there could be slight modifications to make if the are too baggy/tight in places.

I fitted the rear discs and pads the day after, and also straight forward to fit. The grooved discs look cool behind the rims, and the brakes do have a sharper initial response, however, may be just slighly a little hard, then again, they have not worn in yet and i am tying to avoid any really sharp/hard breaking for the 1st 200 miles and then give them a real test. Overall it was better than before which is the main thing and I saved a bundle...which means I can get the Goodridge braided lines and some decent brake fluid.

I have just fitted 3G brake discs and EBC Greenstuff pads and they seem to be very good so far, still wearing them in. Initially they are more responsive on initial braking, the red pads have a medium bite. I did not fit the Goodridge braided lines but could have got them for around £50, maybe I will soon and also change the brake fluid but at the moment everything is working fine so there is no real need to. I got these for a good price and saved over £300 by fitting them myself, I would say put away £500 and you will have no problem getting a decent set of brakes and lines. OEM is still very good but will cost you around this much just for parts then there is fitting to consider. I did mine for £366 by doing it myself its very straight forward.

Received the 3G brake discs and Greenstuff pads in less than 24 hours of ordering them, and fitted the front discs and pads yesterday...:-) (rear discs are still enroute), cant believe how easy it was to change them. Look great and certainly do the job - just got to wear them in a bit now before testing them out properly.
-
Got the whole lot for £366 delivered - a saving over £137 than buying OEM stuff, could have got the redstuff pads for a little more but they have a medium initial bite though can take higher temperatures. £103 for the pads inc vat and £263 for the discs inc vat and delivery. I will let you know when I get them if they are Okay.

I dont drive the car much, it spends most of it's time in the garage getting it's beauty sleep, not that it needs much! and the greenstuff pads do not need warming up and have a high inital repsonse when breaking so for my needs they should be ideal, and I am hoping the grooved discs will help me avoid any warping of the discs plus they will look good behind the split rims. They should be okay for the following year or two, then again there may be a possibility of selliing the car in the near future. 1994 Supra 3.0i N/A Auto, Jap Import, Gloss Black, about 57K, Clear side lights, 18" Deep dish Split rims, HKS Mushroom Induction Kit, 5" Stainless Steel Exhuast System (Sounds awesome), lowered suspension, 2500watt Bespoke sound system with TV - DVD- CD - DVDR - SAT NAV, Cat 1 Alarm and hopefully soon I am going to have a full bespoke leather interior and carpets made and fitted, which just leaves me to change the dash and interior lighting, and maybe the steering wheel, but everthing else is standard. Superb drive, very reliable and very fast.

Thanks for all your advise guys, I purchased today a complete set of 3G Brake Discs with the 10 Grooves - NO HOLES - and also a complete set of EBC Greenstuff Brake Pads, as I managed to get a good deal for the whole lot. So should have these in the next couple of days, and I will get them fitted. :-)

Exactly, I agree, thats why I am holding on to find something good enough, besides I have a heavy foot so will need it in the long run...I may go for OEM discs and get some good pads. Just want them like NOW! However, for the price of the OEM discs, I think there could be the possibility of getting a disc with grooves or drilled holes for the same price or maybe a couple of quid extra.

The cheap price that I got was from Carbase UK, found these guys while browsing around. http://www.carbaseuk-japanesespares.co.uk/Promotions.htm They were very helpful on the phone, I would imagine for £130 for all the discs and pads delivered,. you would expect basic/standard quality for japanese parts.
-
Thanks Nic I will let you know on the pads, if i order them, how long for delivery? Toyota quoted me £83.85+vat each for rear discs and £80.48+vat each for front discs - £36.80 +vat for set of rear pads and 63.64 +vat for set of front pads.

I just took the car to elite to check the diameter size on both front and rear discs, and it turned out the front discs were about 310mm in diamiter and the rear was about 315mm in diameter, where as I thought that the original spec was 310mm on the front and 291mm on the rear, so a bit confused...i have 18" split rims on the car, they quoted me around £530 - fitted with Greenstuff break pads and just standard discs (not drilled/grooved) also Toyota quoted original parts for £504 inc vat not fitted. and they may not have been the right size in diameter - whereas I have been quoted around £130 for both original japanese front and rear discs and pads - next day delivery and do it myself or order a nice set of brembo brakes from america if they fit? - I looked at the G3 and Endless pads from Envy and they look very good so going to make some enquiries, also how do I get in touch with Chris Wilson? THANKS GUYS great help...

HI EVERYONE After drooling and researching the last 3 years about the legendary Toyota Supra, fait recently brought me one step closer to the Twin Turbo, and guess what? I bought a Supra about about a month or so ago after losing my precious BMW E46-328i SE, however now that I have the Supra, I can confidently say that I am not dissapointed at all and extremely satisfied. I took it into Toyota for a service last week for the 1st time - and after checking the entire vehcile it came back completely clean with no faults whatsoever. Really pleased! Toyota really do take care of you and your vehicle. I know I could have done this myself but hey its good to have the Toyota History right? Okay well as I said fait has brought me one step closer to the twin turbo, hence I purchased a 1994 3.0ltr N/A, Gloss Black - auto - with HKS Induction, 5.5 inch Stainless steel exaust system and 18" Alloys with low profiles lowered suspension and will be a great project for the next year, of which I have already started - these should include: 1 - Complete ICE install 2 - Interior - which is in good original condition, but im just too fussy and silksmooth! (Front Seat Leathers - Dash - Carpets - Interior Lighting and Instrument Cluster Lighting) 3 - Possibly some engine components but I must say it doesn't need anything at all - it purr's beautifully and sounds absolutely awesome and drives fantastic - only 55k miles on the clock- so maybe just change a few pipes and a clean just to make it look nice). I have quite a bit of technical experience working with ICE systems and working with cars, so I will be happy to help anyone if I know the answers to any questions/problems. Also appreciate anyone's help if I too fall into the same situation. Which does actually bring me to my first dilemma, How do you take out the OEM Tweeters up in either sides of the dash unit? Do I seriously have to take out the whole dash just to get to the tweeters - these buggers are fitted so solid and I can't seem to get them out - as I wish to replace them with some new ones! I dont really want to be making new holes anywhere at this stage and I want to keep things flush and standard as possible. Any feedback would be most helpful! Thanks for reading and Drive Safely!
