  1. i'm surprised but i totally agree with all your statements! however I can't see much of alternative V8 Vantage became very common as well & also very slow Gallardo could also be called baby Lambprghini = poor mans Lambo old Fezzas like Testarossa are totally unreliable Murci could be a bit of alternative but we are talking about £120k+ and you can't put more than 2-3k miles per annum Zondas, CGTs, SLRs, F599s, Apollo Gumpert, Ascari etc are all £250k+ nothing left p.s. R34GTR & RX-7 as well as NSX have crap interior as well as EVOs & Scoobies
  2. deffo not in Supra you could be refused a test drive even if you would pop in 600bhp Single which is obviously quicker than 360 and u'll defo be refused a test drive from private seller
  3. I guess this particular one could be out of my budget I love the looks of V8 Vantage but it felt slow on the test drive. Would be nice car for missus though
  4. I normally do around 10-12k miles per annum max 3-4k out of them are trips abroad I still can use Supra for short runs as my missus doesn't do more than 2-3k so she wouldn't really need the car a lot So however I call it daily driver it is not really it as I work from home. Murci is in different league. I know that 20k mileage on Murci would put a lot of people off. 30-35k mileage on 360 is still acceptable. So if I get something wz 20-25k on the clock it shouldn't be really a problem to sell it wz 35k. Am I wrong?
  5. no, it is not bearing in mind that it would even be parked in different place...
  6. nice one! but this nose is not my cup of tea i was thinking of late tiptronic single Supe...but than decided to get somthing else, just fancy a change
  7. yeap and imagine how many of them u can see in bl*dy London i have 3-4 normally parked just on my street - not Turbo ones but 99 out of 100 people wouldn't see the difference between 996TT & 996C2
  8. not surprised the only thing which 355 has is the looks it is totally unreliable, not as quick as it should be & very expensive to mantain nice car to keep on the driveway but not to drive
  9. i'm wz u my heart says Fezza, but head says 996
  10. I know someone who use 360 as daily car, not a problem. They are quite reliable aparently. Obviously can not compare it to 996TT
  11. the one which recently attracted my attention http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/371678.htm the problem wz all Fezza's other than red is the saleability some dealers not gonna touch any colours exept red
  12. waiting for it to be relised in the UK - don't want to import
  13. agree licence is not a problem - just don't want manual by other reasons
  14. around £60-65k mark for Fezza Spider but wouldn't pay 60k for 996 or Merc
  15. I was thinking of F355 - I love the look! But it is very unrealiable, service is much more expensive than 360 and also F1 box is much worse. Spider versions do also have a major problems wz roof mechanism
  16. Do u mean F1 paddle shift? Yes, it is an auto in theory, no clutch pedal (and also it say auto in V5 if I'm not wrong) However F1 on F430 is much more advanced than the F360's F1 but imho F360 wz F1 is acceptable (post 2003 cars, or just do a soft update for the gearbox)
  17. Supra is a nice peace of kit but after owning one for 1.5 years now I'm thinking of smthng different for a change. I must admit that speed & power is not everything....however still don't really want to downgrade in terms of power...but want something more luxury. Supra is nice car but we must admit it is 1993 technology and styling. However I'm not planning to sell Supe and already convienced my missus (fingers crossed) to have it instead of her coupe. After carefull consideration the choice has been limited to 3 cars (well 4 cars but 3 marks): - Merc SL55 AMG (black) - Porsche 996 Turbo (coupe, tiptronic, black) - Ferrari 360 F1 Modena (rosso corsa) or Ferrari 360 F1 Spider (grigio alloy) Pros & cons: Merc pros: cabrio but not fabric roof, price - can be picked up under £40k at the moment, reliability, power; Cons: quite common, 2 seater only, Merc is not really a "drivers car"; maybe not really suitable for someone who is just 26 years old:d 996 Pros: maybe the quickest out of all 3 - deffo quicker than my TT under any circumstances , 4wd, practical (4 seater); Cons: coupe - not convertable (cabrio looks terrible), very very common in my area especially bearing in mind very small difference between 25k ordinary 996 and 45k Turbo 360 Pros: it is Ferrari so you should own one once in the lifetime , imho one of the best exterior looking car in history, sound, presence, attention from public; Cons: even good setup TT Supra could be quicker , running costs especially if smthg goes wrong, italian - so realibility could be poor, price, low nose for every day car in London So what would be you thoughts, guys? What would you choose? I'm not doing more than 10k miles per annum including long trips abroad but will be using it as everyday car.
