  1. Thanks Gav, What offset is suitable for the TT?
  2. Hi, I know these wheel sizes higlighted in the subject are narrower than the stock 17s which come on the late model TTs. Would fitting my car with these wheels negatively impact the handling? Thanks
  3. Grateful if anyone could give me the part numbers for the following on a 98 J-Spec TT: -engine mounts -stabilizer bar links -right front knuckle Also, does anyone know whether these parts are compatiblie on a 93-98 US Spec?
  4. Anything guys? Not even part numbers?
  5. Thanks Class One Also, grateful if anyone could tell me whether the engine mounts, stabilizer bar links and knuckle of the US Spec Models would fit my 98 Japanese spec. I would also appreciate the part numbers if possible. Thanks
  6. Hi Guys, I own a 98 J-spec TT Sup which was in an accident and I am getting it repaired, however, because of my location, its much easier and cheaper to get parts out of the US. I would like to know whether the following parts would fit. - US Front Bumper Cover - US Windscreen - Euro Glass Headlights (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1993-5-1996-Toyota-Supra-European-spec-headlights_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33710QQihZ009QQitemZ190138970267QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW#ebayphotohosting) Thanks in advance. Dudley

  8. Hi Guys, Saw this on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Toyota-Supra-TT-93-98-2jz-twin-turbos-ct20a-turbo-40k_W0QQitemZ140135059247QQihZ004QQcategoryZ33742QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem The seller quoted: THESE TURBOS ARE AN UPGRADE OVER THE STOCK TURBOS. I READ UP ON THEM ON THE SUPRA FORUMS AND APPARENTLY THE STOCK TURBOS WERE CT12'S AND THESE CT20A TURBOS ARE MUCH LARGER THEN THE STANDARD 2JZGTE TURBOS. THEY HAVE A STEEL EXHAUST WHEELSO YOU CAN RUN HIGH BOOST. JAPAN SELLS THESE AS AN UPGRADE AND THEY ARE CONSIDERED CT26 TURBOS. Are they worth purchasing for a vvti TT? Please share your thoughts. Thanks
  9. Would any of you know whether the sub tunnel for the 5 spd manual SZ is the the same as that of the 6spd?
  10. Thanks again phoenix one. Don't mean to be a bother.... just need to be sure that all bases are covered... does the fact that the NA is an auto and the TT is a 6spd matter? What sort of modification needs to be done to fit the extra pedal?
  11. Phoenix-One, In terms of engine, tranny, diff mounts, is there any fabrication necessary?
  12. Spoke to my agent ... and they quoted me about the same as the VVTI TT My whole reason behind doing the swap is that I can see lots of cash left over for upgrades.
  13. Thanks ... In that case... think I'm gonna go for it... will document the progress.
  14. Hi Guys, A drunk fool hit my car 3 weeks ago ... insurance payout has finally come ... so here I am thinking .. what car should I get next ... and being honest ... nothing other than a supra comes to mind. One of my mates has a 95 SZ which I can get of him for a fair price.... thinking of buying it and swapping in the 2jz-gte VVTI from the wrecked 98 RZ-S. My main reason for choosing this course of action is that after buying the SZ and swapping ... I'll have good money left over for probably even a single turbo upgrade. The main reason behind this thread is I would like to determine whether any of you can forsee any hurdles with the swap .... or is there anything generally I should be aware of. Thanks
  15. Hi, Does anyone make Cams for the VVTI 2jz-gte?
  16. Thanks Jody, once its not impossible .... I'm gonna go for it. Now my Sup is gone ... the only thing I can really think of replacing it with is another one .... mileage was also pretty Low on my TT ... 62,000 KM .... therefore it still has alot more days to ... thinking that the NA to TT is the cheapest option right now
  17. No ... the N/A doesn't Forgot to mention that my RZ is a 98 TT .... so Yes it does have VVTI .... wold this make the process more tasking?

    SZ to RZ

My RZ got hit by a drunk "BLEEP" ... the insurance has written it off.... right now ... I'm contemplating purchasing a mint SZ from a mate of mines and swapping all the parts over .... as the engine, tranny, brakes and exhaust are all still untouched. WHat i'd really like to find out is ... what's the difficulty of doing this? are there any tutorials anywhere on here I could use? Thanks
  19. Guys, I'm in search of the guage cluster that replaces the passenger side airbag on the supra; anyone know where i can find one of these? Thanks D
  20. ok ... thanks Are these the yellow bilsteins: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BILSTEIN-HD-SHOCKS-TOYOTA-SUPRA-93-94-95-96-97-98_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ107061QQihZ012QQitemZ220076936087QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD1V In terms of shocks, how do they compare against Koni Yellows and KYBs?
  21. Thanks J, Been reading on here and it seems a few ppl on here find eibachs a tad soft .... would you agree with this assessment?
  22. Hi, I am new here and would greatly appreciate some help with choosing the right suspension for my car; I own a 97 Japanese spec VVTi Twin Turbo with stock suspension which is on its way out. I would like to get something which lowers the car about 1.2 inches ... the front more than the back... because currently the car sits with the front higher than the back. I currently live in the Caribbean; some of our roads are quite crappy and hence I am a bit concerned over getting a combination that is too stiff. I have read some about progressive and linear springs and wondering which would work best for my application considering the fact the i would like the best compromise between handling and ride comfort. I have looked at the tein basic setup, the price seems rather good and I like the fact that they are height adjustable; however I find the spring rates are quite high - does anyone on here have experience with them? I have also read on here that teins aren't the most durable ... and considering our roads are rather bumpy ... I am not sure they would be the best. Many people on here seem quite happy with eibachs, I have been considering getting these with a set of Koni adjustables to assist with any minor height and damping modifications I would want to make. Any Assistance you would be able to give would be appreciated.
