Well after having it checked out It was found that the leak is around the receiver/dryer and this needs to be replaced, as well as the expansion valve probably. Garage I took it to couldn’t tell me how much to fix, said I must bring them the parts and they will fit them once they figure out how to get to it, wasn't very impressed so would rather not get it done there. Anyone know of a good garage around Worcs/Bham that know what they are doing that could replace them? Ibrar do you do such work by any chance?

I too would be interested in one of these, can you get hold of them?

Hi guys, Had my air con re-gassed last week and everything worked fine. However a week later and the aircon is dead again, compressor won't engage - basically the same problems I had before having it re-gassed. I popped the bonnet and say a lovely trial of UV dye around the pipes coming from the low pressure (I think, one at the back) valve which seems to mean the valve has died. Now apart from asking myself why I didn't think to test the air con before I bought the car, I am wondering if it is a serviceable item or if I can get another valve assembly and where from? And if anyone has the part number for one handy incase I need to make a phonecall tot he local Toyota Thanks!

I did mention the club, but don't recall the person I spoke to having either of those names. Will give it a try again next year.

I had to wait until I turned 21 to get my car, after wanting one for absolute ages. Most companies wouldn't even quote me until I was over 21. In the end I went with Elephant to build up my NCD a bit more (I have 0 atm...) and then I plan to change to Sky or similar specialist insurance firms.
