  1. I think it's the original pulley which will have covered over 190k miles. I'll give the tipex trick a go. Anyone have any good pulleys going spare? (this is the worst possible time for a big expense )
  2. I was changing the coolant yesterday and noticed a slight wobble on the pulley. What do you guys think?
  3. A couple off interesting ones I have found: http://my.opera.com/chooseopera/blog/2012/04/01/please-help-us-with-our-data-problem http://www.theregister.co.uk/2012/04/01/apple_patent/
  4. As soon as I saw the words crisis and fuel in the news I immediately rushed down to my local station and completely filled the car. Took ages to fill the car via the window and most of it has leaked out and evaporated anyway but I didn't want to be caught out.
  5. I'm not sure if its quite that simple: http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Employment/Understandingyourworkstatus/Fixedtermworkers/DG_10027735 Good luck though and remember that worrying about it wont help, so enjoy your weekend.
  6. When I told my wife she just said "What?" and then "Oh I get it, that's a nice joke as it's not offensive."
  7. what do you call cheese thats not yours? nacho cheese!
  8. I'll take the upper cam cover http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/bb273/rob_boi/f601622a.jpg if its still available?
  9. Used mine daily for 5 years and 50k miles.
  10. I know some on here play WOT so here is a link to a code for a free tank and a day of premium. http://www.computerb...ks-6895480.html Click on the image, enter your email and you should get your code. Then log onto the WOT homepage and enter the code. Make sure your garage is full before you do and you will get a free space in your garage too.
  11. Any chance someone has (or can get hold of ) a diagram with part numbers for a UK Supras exhaust system? I have had a look through the workshop manual but cant see much more then a little bit on the cats. Failing that does anyone know of a quiet catback system that will bolt right on ideally cheaper than toyotas price for a new centre pipe with two silencers?

    Brakes

These http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300426631099&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:GB:1123#ht_752wt_1163 look like a reasonable deal for UK brakes. Has anyone used this guy or these parts before? Any better suggestions?
  13. Yeah the paintwork is nice, it had the bumpers and sides re-sprayed a few years back as the motorway hadn't been kind to the paint with all the stone chips etc. There was some trouble with the engine at 152k and the turbos were removed and sent off to be checked but were sent back not needing repair as they were in good health and not needing repair. The problem in the end required the head to be rebuilt, since then its been absolutely fine but i've tried to pre-empt things like when the PS pump started to creak I had a new o/e one fitted. I guess i'll ask for 6k if I'm honest I think I would struggle to find another UK in the same condition for that money, even though mine is a high miler. So are we able to do some kind of club valuation here? Perhaps I should just show the insurer this thread. The broker is sureterm direct and the policy is with "Enterprise Insurance Company Plc"
  14. Any ideas? Here are the photos I've taken to send off to them anyway, maybe these will help.
  15. I am just sorting out a new policy on the car and it is an agreed value policy. They state if its over 5k I need an independant/club valuation. Is this something we can do on here? Also I am actually a little unsure on what my car is worth. I paid 6k for it years ago (bit the sellers hand off) but as its a standard UK car, will the value have dropped much? Here are the vital statistics: 190,000 miles (M reg) Starts and runs well, small oil leak Wheels a bit kerbed few small door dents Did have the head rebuilt at 152,000 miles and I like to think I have done a good job maintaining it as its had a new PS pump, radiator, cam pullys, cat converter and o2 sensors in the last couple of years along with the normal service items. (photos in garage) So what should I be looking to agree the value at? My instincts say 5k given the high mileage and age; but on the other hand its an original unmodified UK, cant be many left like this.
  16. That was my first though. My next thought was: So what's the extra R for? aren't the front disks handed?
  17. Im looking to order some new disks and I see theyre all listed as FR and RR. What does this mean? Surely if that meant Front right or rear right there would also be a FL and RL? But I can only see FR and RR listed.
  18. Sorry to hear it. Not a good bank holiday weekend then?
  19. http://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/?q=toyota+supra Looks interesting...
  20. I bought a pair of unknown brand ones from ebay to go with some HID bulbs. The HID bulbs lasted about 2 years and 3 years on the cheap (Less then £5) LEDs are still going.
  21. Whats the best way to clean the air flow meter? Is it a wire type or flap on the UK? I'll give the IAT sensor a look. Thanks guys!
  22. The car (UK supra) has been running rich for some time and in an effort to resolve it I have replaced the water temp sensor and both o2 sensors and seen the mpg improve from about 16.0 mpg to 18.7 mpg however the car is still running a bit rich. Most noticeably when cold/warming up and on a steep hill you can end up with a fair bit of turbo whir but very little happening and the engine wants to die as you pull up to a stop and I can smell fuel. The situation improves alot when its warm but it is still a little rich. Does anyone have any other ideas on what I can try in an effort to resolve the issue? No error codes are being logged at all.
  23. I have read a lot about jumpy movement and slow load times but it seems OK and on par with other games to me. I only have a 460 gtx and yet everything on ultra settings runs really well. I loved the totally over the top introduction to the game and it definitely reminds me of the older games.
