  1. I know there was a group buy for some 17cm Speaker Bracket/Rings for the front speakers but I joined a bit late. If anyone isn't going to use thiers I'm willing to purchase a set.
  2. Personally I like brakes to be a bit progressive and soft at first. Its nice to be able to stop slowly and smoothly or generate harsh braking by pushing your foot harder. I drive a transit every now and again and the brakes go from nothing to emergency stop in no time at all. No way you can do a smooth stop in it.
  3. I did a search on the forum for 'cw pads' and 'chris wilson pads' The consensus seems to be that they offer good performance but arent harsh on your disks or overly dusty like other fast road pads.
  4. Treat them mean, keep them keen [COOL][/COOL]
  5. Just ordered a full set of CW fast road pads. Based on everyone’s reviews/comments about them on the forum they seemed like the best ones to go for. Also had a pair of 255/40/17 Toyo T1R's delivered today and should be fitted tomorrow. I'm hoping with the new rubbers and pads my rear end will be as tight as a nuns snatch
  6. They might be an interferance fit so it might be worth using a blow tourch on the hubs to heat it up and expand it do the studs go in easier. When it all cools it should shrink onto the studs and bite in. Just bashing them in can leave you with loose studs that want to turn when you tighten the nuts.
  7. Often I see Tawny and barn owls about when fishing or driving. The thing that always amazes me is how silent they are in flight.
  8. Ive only had my supra for just over a week and I've already had people call it a subaru and even suggest its a V6. Grrr Really sorry to hear about the attack on your car. Did the alarm go off or anyone see anything? Some one/s slashed a load of tyres down our road a few months back.

    Tyres

Im in the market for some new rear tyres. Just the stock 17" wheels so 255/40/17s should do. Ive used Toyo T1R's in the past and never had any problems. I like thier light weight too. But I think the rim protector bulge bit is shite and doesnt protect the wheels at all. Anyone have any experiance with other brands both good or bad? I currently have Eagle F1's on the rear which seem fine, just one has a bit of an egg in the sidewall

UK Supra - Storm Blue Metalic Twin Turbo Auto

94 UK spec TT Auto, Clear indicators, Engine rebuild @ 150k
  11. I just took both my headlights out today. I had to remove the battery, air filter and alarm siren to get enough room. Basicly there are 3 screw/nuts holding each head light in. You will also have to undo all of the clips/harnesses. I think you can do the bulbs while the headlights are in situ but its much easier if you take them out.
  12. I did wonder if the switch or fuse was dodgey which is why I did the test with teh voltmeter. The clip/plug which goes into the bulb bracket is definately getting power... just seems odd they would both have a loose wire after that point. Both bulbs are brand new too. I will have to test each wire and see where the break is. Can you get new plasitc bits or would it have to be a whole new headlight? I need an EPC...
  13. Only bought the supra on sunday but one of the headlights was full of condensation. I took both headlights out and dried the watery one out then sealed them both with silicone sealant. Looks alot better then having a one nasty misty light. I still have a bit of a problem though. The side/headlight that is closest to the edge of the car wont work. I know the bulbs are ok as I just put new ones in and i know theyre getting power. Shows 11.9 V on my multimeter on the connector but still no light. Anyone know if its possible or easy to get a new plastic twisty bit?? i think mine must be busted.
  14. I like number 6. Nice angle, best background and a nice glint of light from the bonnet.
  15. Its possible theyre seazed but I think they were rebuilt at the same time the pads were done so id hope not [sAD][/sAD] £130 is good for a set of pads all round, do you have any for the UK spec?
  16. Think I will steer clear of the EBC pads. Might go for the TRD pads. Has anyone used the predators or TRD's before?
  17. Thanks for the ideas. I'm not after anything too exotic as my car is a daily driver but uprated is always better, especially for the weekends. Is it safe to go for either the fast roads or the TRD's for the front but not the rears? What prices can you guys do for both front and rear pads? Will these last longer then the stock ones? the fronts have only done 6k so far and are nearly done. Thanks in advance..
  18. I am looking for some front pads (UK spec) The only ones I have found so far are the following: Blackdiamond Predator pads £41.41 EBC redstuff (ment to be OEM) £82.78 EBC yellowstuff (ment to be uprated) £87.14 Has anyone used any of the above? Or can anyone reccomend anything better? I need a pad that works ok from cold and to be honest I think the standard ones do the job so uprated ones arent required... but if they arent to pricey id have them. Any thoughts?

I went to view the Supra on sunday but before I even left my house I knew if all was in order I would be driving it home and sure enough its mine now [GRIN][/GRIN] I've done 250 miles in 24 hours already... cant help but drive it. The car is a lovely UK spec Auto in dark blue. Everything works exept for one bulb in the dash and one of the headlights has a bit of condensation in it. Also I think I will put some new front pads on it. Stops fine, but a bit squeeky. Here are some pics. So expect to hear a bit more from me.

Well im really only after a UK spec. The insurace is very very good for me on a uk one. only about £80 more then a group 13 323 GT and only a couple hundred more then a group 2 fiesta. The import is well over 1200 more Trouble with being 21. There is a toyota/lexus dealer in T.wells about 10 miles north from me.. they be ok? or are dealers not worth the trouble/cost?

lol.. could be an idea But if I buy a supra I wont be buying a house anytime soon. I dont mind a short drive to get it serviced, its just if theres a major problem it might be a pain to get it towed. Ive got full AA coverage so they could proberly take it to a garage of my choice. Going to look at a supra on sunday. a UK TT auto in dark blue.

Hello. I am looking at getting a supra soon but before I take then plunge I wondered if anyone knows any good specialists or decent garages in sussex? I am based in Crowborough so the closer the better. I have done a quick search on past threads and found Woodcock service station in east grinsted have been mentioned. Any others people know of? I have downloaded the what to look for when buying a new supra PDF and the other PDF's. Made a good read and now I know what to look for. Any help is much appriciated.
