  4. Evening all, well im no mechanic but was told i had to change my discs up front as the are well corroded. so i set about the challenge and got to know my supe a little better. Im so glad i bought a power bar a year ago its made life so much simpler. Any ways a cpl of shot of the old vs new disc. What lurks beneath shot of the old disc that the untrained eye would never see and the new ones fitted. Im mush more confident now on the supe. thanks alot for everyones help going to do the rears tomorrow
  5. Right ive got my calipers and bracket off, a) how does the centre plastic hug cover come off and b) is the disc meant to just come away or does it require a good rubber hammering ta
  6. yeh just got a scoket for my power bar, ive had my mintex pads on a while now and yeh i really like them, just my discs are like butter at the mo so changing them. will do it tomorrow when i have more light
  7. only had a small ratchet set so going to try my mates impact drive tonight, they are quite rusty so got my plus gas on them, going to try and get a socket bit for my torque wrench as well as that ill give plenty of leverage just in case the impact drive doesnt work the pads i have on there are mintex extremes
  8. g clamp worked a treat however ................... i cant get the two bolts undone that hold the caliper bracket on. ggrrrrrr these things are never easy, gonna try and use my mates impact drive wrench tomorrow so calipers and pads back on for now, They are really scored on the inner pads and even after 3 months of use, do you think its worth getting new pads again to put on with the new discs?
  9. why what happens when you do the back, what do i need to do to the hand brake??
