  1. I would have parked next to you had i popped in there too, il be back in that area soon enough (for further dates etc) and will be parking it in that carpark from now on as its easy access to the city
  2. Yeh it was the first date haha, shes from york and should have known better, i suggested the carpark that would have cost 2 quid but was insistant. were now going very strong
  3. ta well i will get the car back fingers crossed on monday evening... im sure my bank account will be light as a feather afterwards :-(
  4. that was deffinatley me then lol, my new gf swore blind that i was ok to park there... so she paid for it.. bargain
  5. yeh i have the refurb kit, dont have 4 stands to get the car completely up in the air, il refurb the old one, once its off. sometimes a nice new one will give me the reassurance too
  6. ahh bugger, the garage already have one on order, think it will be here today... im not mechanic but after reading some of the "how- to's" it would be hell of a lot easier using a ramp or pit to do this task, both of which i dont have :-(
  7. My supe is my main car so needed it doing pronto... il try and re-coup some of the cost with refurbing the old one
  8. yeh theres no way im jacking it up and trying to take it off laying down in my apartment car park
  9. ive already got a refurb kit pal, but i cant get under the car to take it off, and no garage round here will touch the inners of the starter motor, im sure that having a new one on my car will be the best solution although not the cheapest, il keep the old one and use the kit i have (toyota one) and refurb the old one. if i do it ok i may start doing refurbs on exchange basis
  10. Right again lol, although its come in cheaper than the garage first quoted so anything cheaper is a result, ive asked them to do an oil and filter change too so that will cancel out any savings i reckon
  11. looks very similar to how mine looked half an hour ago just in silver
  12. the starter motor has finally given up completely, its now on its way to the garage on the back of a flat bed and what a nightmare it was trying to get it on. with no visable tow eye either on the front or back we had to hook the cable onto one of the arms under the car and it only just cleared the slope. Off for a genuine new toyota starter motor and oil and filter change whilst its there.. fingers crossed it will be an easy fix and once i get the old one back il refurb it and sell it on to reclaim some of the cost of the new one. its been playing up for the best part of 10 months but usually it fires up after a couple of tries....... i hate it when things go wrong as soon as shes fixed il be happy once more.. for a 16yo car shes doing quite well
  13. Had a quick look as i walked past, you were still inside with engine running.... will say hi next time but i was being pestered by my mate

  22. regarding the number plate i got that size and have had it on for just over a month, got pulled last week and told to get it changed or face a 30 quid fine, just trying to think where to put the old square one now. i would have had an on the spot fine but i was in my uniform and he gave me "friendly" advice.. such a nice fella
