Well i haven't tried it, but basically it's a slow digesting protein. Basically over the long time you sleep your body will normally start to go into a catabolic state meaning that after all your hard work in the gym your muscle are being used as energy rather than being repaired. So essentially it just allows your body to feed your muscle repair and recovery throughout the night.
I know some people that take it before bed and then wake up 4 hours later for some more, lol.
Anyway you should gain as long as your doing everything else right . Doesn't really matter too much about the brand. You could always eat cottage cheese before bed instead , the protein makeup of that is mostly casien.
