  1. charged car up to the point of starting it. checked for wobbles on pulley when blipped throttle and seems not to alter position. quite hard to see though through other moving parts.....nearly took my face off from the fan lol. Just out of interest can you see the alternator spinning or moving normally? just when i looked at that when engine is going, it doesn't seem to do anything (unless it normally just sits there motionless)
  2. none that i know of. i'l do a random search of people lol
  3. And the first bite! lol nah they are quick, ive been running my single purley N/A engine at the moment without using turbos and its still fun
  4. just out of interest is it a big job to replace the crank pulley? and is it just the crank pulley which needs replacing or other supporting parts?
  5. ive stuck it on charge now so now i play the waiting game....
  6. sort out the interior and the kit and it might have potential. somebody will snatch it up. i don't wanna open a can of worms but can anybody see the irony with the word "FAST" on a N/A
  7. yup, all connections are fine
  8. not a car you'd get in with a hangover....infact looking at that interior its enough to send anyone to drink
  9. problem is car wont start to blip the throttle lol i'l have to try and jump it or charge battery first
  10. and he forgot to dye his carpets does he have that "fast sticker" to remind him?
  11. makes my orange one look subtle. how much that going for and is it rare and turbo ready?
  12. ok cheers. seen a few goin for about 80-130 squids on ebay but doesn't specify what type (n/a or tt) but gives a list of other toyotas it will fit as well as supra
  13. ok read the crank pulley speech and still bit confused as to how i check a problem? i mean what am i actually looking for physically. i checked wires from alternator and all in reasonable condition. is replacing alternator an engine out job or just removing everything in front of it first? either way at all sounds rather expensive to me.
  14. mine is "Time travel" ready! all supporting mods fitted! all you need is a flux capacitor!!!
  15. Yes, its another cursed supra....[sAD][/sAD] with this weeks pay i might get out of my overdraft going snowboarding next week so can't really spend anything else a t m
  16. car was well cursed before it went orange
  17. wheres that located? i'm not mechanically minded
  18. both brand new batteries. bit of a long shot for both being dead. i just assumed in the time the car was sitting there it had just died on its own. 2nd battery no excuses lol
  19. k cheers.....now let see if i can find something under that surface rust....
  20. prob is its never been on the road for more than 2 weeks at a time! always something going wrong. just as i buy a 6 speed box this happens and sets all plans to a halt. just want to be able to drive it without major problems. i can deal with speedo and fuel gauge not working till i send it to whifbitz but nows everythings going wrong- only car ive ever had with soooo many problems knew i should have bought the 300zx....
  21. ive got a very vague serial number and some other marks but no names
  22. checked battery.....dead as. must be the alternator then. for fu*k sake! how much money do i need to spend on this fu**ing car before its drivable!!! is changing the alternator a big job and how much are they?
  23. Ok driving back from football training 10 min ago. get about min from my house, boost gauges loose power 30 sec from my house, clocks (speedo rev etc) dim right down just about to pull in and power steering goes nearly put it into the wall because power steering fails whilst turning into my drive getting it parked up just as all lights flicker, windscreen wipers die, revs drop. ive just parked and not enough power to put my windows up. thankfully i have a car cover lying around to stop rain getting in...i hope anyway. Turned ignition off and wouldn't start again. Now when i got the car back last week i had to change the battery cos it had died so replaced it with brand new halfords one (£80) and runs fine. Any ideas what this could be as i suspect the alternator but a few warning lights started flicklering (battery and the one next to it on the right) ABS and oil one with lines underneath even though i filled oil up to top yesterday. i changed all damaged fuses sunday and everything was working ok i'm not mechanically minded so any ideas?
