  1. You have to laugh really... Mr Jobsworth at his best...
  2. Really confused now I have two small panels on the dash to the left of the speedo and rev counter. One of the symbols comes up when I put the hand-brake on. It sort of looks like this ((O)) If ya know what I mean....
  3. Unfortunately, the vehicle registration dept over here is different to the UK. Side repeaters need to be visible through an angle of 5 degrees to 60 degrees when viewed from the rear of the car. The ones of the front aren't visible at 5 degrees. A load of hassle but I cant get it registered until they are done..
  4. I had to take the car to my local vehicle standards dept the other day to get it registered and after leaving it with them for the day, they told me the car needed a few things done before they can register it.. First of all, I neede to fit side repeaters to it as it doesnt have any. It means drilling into the wing but never mind. Easily sorted. I also rigged up two of the brake lights to use as fog lamps but they didnt like the fact that I could switch them on and off as I pleased so have to change it so that they can only be switched on if the headlights are also on. They didn't like the lights fitted in the rear bumper either, so I have just taken the bulbs out until I fit the rear spats and I will remove them then. Anyway..... after all this.... he then says, your brake light doesnt come on all the time when you pull the handbrake up. I thought ok.. maybe a faulty connection or something and then I tried it myself and got confused.... Which one is the brake light There is a red light that comes on in the middle of the speedo/rev counter (cant remember which one) but there is also one that comes on in the panel of lights to the left of the speedo. I dont know which one I am meant to be looking at. Please enlighten me cos the electrician didn't know either...
  5. It's always good to vent some anger At the end of the day, it is their loss not yours...
  6. I thought he was just trying to show how much stuff you could fit in the boot...
  7. As whitesupraboy said, it is really down to the garage whether or not they want to take the work on. Toyota have not said that you cannot take an import to a UK garage, it is simply the policy of each franchise. They are independent garages at the end of the day so have the right to turn down whatever work they want to. Anyway.... The labour charges of a dealership is going to be far more than the guy down the road. I only take mine to places that have knowledge of Supras. It's as simple as that.
  8. That is fantastic... I was laughing soo much; I think a bit of wee came out... I wanna get one for my bonnet... Just imagine the looks you would get..
  9. Yours looks cool.. The silver suits the lights. I just dont think the white will work so well.

I think its really funny. I have to admit that I was in it ast year and had a right laugh. It was great fun. Even appeared on telly 5 times. It is tacky but a great laugh.
  11. Cheers for all your help/advice guys. I doubt I will go ahead and do it. I first thought it might look good but after having a look at the pic of what it might look like, I reckon it would look pretty crap. Cheers for your advise guys...
  12. Hopefully, this pic will be more useful. If someone could have a go at changing the headlights to white, it would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks guys.
  13. I think someone has had the Tipex out on it. I will stick a couple of better pics up later when I am on my home pc (cant get on various sites at work)
  14. Just read the thread about the boot release Definitely a classic That is something I would do and I am sure there are things I haven't noticed on mine yet. Only had it a month and haven't had to put petrol in yet so that could be fun....
  15. Hi Guys, Can someone please help me... I was thinking of painting the inside of my lights white to match the car but wanted to get an idea of what it would look like first before I went ahead and done it. Could someone please have a go and changing them to white so I can see what it looks like? Thanks for your help guys. It is very much appreciated.
  16. Hiya guys I have bought myself a 1997 SZ (see pics in garage) and was thinking of tinkering with it a little so that I could squeeze a little more BHP out of it. I have heard of people fitting single turbos to NA Supras but have spent a fortune in the process. Is it possible to fit a small turbo without having to upgrade the gearbox and so on??? I am not after a 600bhp monster, but would like to get another 100bhp max if possible. Any ideas?? Cheers for your advise..
  17. Fantastic looking car.. Good luck with the sale.
  18. I just t-cutted mine inside and out and they came up a treat. Look like new...
  19. It appears you are trying to build muscle and become leaner at the same time. Unfortunately, this is just not possible. In order to gain muscle mass, you must consume at least 500 calories in excess of your daily needs. In order to become leaner, you need to consume 500 calories less than your daily requirements. My suggestion is to bulk for 6 months and then cut for a couple of months so that you can see what progress you have made. Unfortunately, it doesnt happen over night and you will need to bulk for at least a year to see any decent improvement. With regards to your workouts, I suggest that you do Full Body workouts 3 times a week. This will incorporate 4 compound exercises and 2 isolation exercises. The link below is a fantastic workout and I have been following this program for a consideable amount of time with great results. http://www.t-nation.com/readArticle.do;jsessionid=0EC5971855E7727E1C7B2A84D784F9C6.hydra?id=508031 There are just a couple of things you need to remember... Your diet is more important than your exercise. You need to lift enough weight so that you are struggling to complete your last set of any exercise. Also, ensure that you eat 6 proportional meals a day. Try not to take in too many carbs for your last two meals. Last but not least, with regards to protein shakes. Have one an hour before your workout and then have another straight after your workout. It is adviable to mix approx 30g of glucose powder into your post workout shake. I hope this helps....
  20. I already have 17" alloys on it so I suppose thats one problem solved. Just not too sure what size/type brakes I need to upgrade. Any ideas???

  22. Hi guys, I imported my car about 3 months ago and would like to upgrade the brakes. I have heard that J-Spec brakes are smaller than uk spec ones. Is this true? If I want to upgrade my brakes, am I limited to what I can put on, if so, any ideas of what I can get. Cheers for your help. Stratty
