  1. Does anyone *seriously* worry about fuel economy when buying a 300+ bhp Jap monster?
  2. Sounds like your PC is drowning in Spyware. Short of getting a Mac or installing Linux I'd suggest it's time for a re-install of Windows to be absolutely sure! If you don't want to do that, you could try getting spyware search destroy from http://www.spybot.info/ which I've had good luck with in the past.
  3. Not yet - but I am taking the car to a mates garage on the weekend to get the car up on a lift, to have a good old poke around and take some pervy pics!
  4. Hi All Couple of weeks ago the turbo in my Skyline went pop (R33 GTS-T) and I've been trying to decide what to do. The exhaust side of the turbine has basically disappeared presumabley it is hiding in the exhaust system somewhere or it went out the back! Anyway, is it at all possible to get new internals fitted, ie refurbish the turbo I already have, and if so, where could I go and how much should I expect to pay? I don't want to spend mega bucks on the skyline as the supra needs toys
  5. I don't know who made it, I could perhaps found out but it all depends if it was done pre or post import. Anyone else done this?
  6. I am currently running with a 2nd de-cat and and stainless steel straight through pipe with no silencer, so only the first cat is in place. To go full BPU I will need to remove the first cat as well, but will this make the car far too loud? If so, is it possible to add in a silencer to a custom exhaust system? I have no idea about this sort of thing
  7. I have done this in the past - I can't remember the exact spec but it was in the online help system of Sage. It wasn't at all difficult to be honest, all the info is there but of course you'd need Sage to see the online help!
  8. Hi Can someone who has the parts database please look a couple of things up for me? 1996 facelift TT6 1. n/s/r bumper lens (see attachment) 2. Little grub screw that goes behind the sleeve you lift up on the gear shifter to go to into reverse (the screw is missing and it's rattly) Cheers
  9. *poke* Any update? Waiting to send you money
  10. Hmmmm. Oh dear! So you basically can't get smaller ones while keeping the airbag? That's a shame. If I was to lose the airbag I'd have more choice of course...
  11. Just about to order a TRD wheel with airbag... main reason apart from having a better looking wheel is to get a slightly smaller one than stock to give me a bit more room around the knees (I am 6'5). How much smaller is it than stock? I have been told it's 350mm but that means nothing to me, I don't know the diameter of the stock one... and car is in body shop over the weekend
  12. OK mate will do. Unless anyone wants to have a look on ETKA or whatever the Toyota system is to get a part number for us? Cheers
  13. Yeah thinking about it I never use reverse anyway
  14. Oh how strange. Where did you get your screw from in the end then?
  15. Oooh OK. Wonder where that went then. Like a little grub screw?
  16. Haha! Although that would quite probably improve my driving. It's no good having this power and still not being able to pull away smoothly. I am still used to the feather light clutch in my audi!
  17. Admittedly they are addictive too, but that's still a very confusing thing to say
  18. Much to my girlfriends amusement I have a rattley knob It's the 6 speed box and it's the sleeve you pull up to go into reverse - it's quite loose and the bottom part of it knocks against the metal underneath when I chance gear. Anyone seen this before and have any hints on how to fix it? Cheers
  19. My boss called me in to his office this morning. I was *convinced* he was going to have a go at me for spending all my time the past week on this forum! Instead he just wanted to pass on some good feedback he's had from the business for my work
  20. I normally always time my auctions to end at around 8/9pm on a Sunday night. Peak internet time for most people!
  21. I may try and go over a speed bump later with the boot open to rule that out *grin* AFAIK I don't have any aftermarket suspension bits. I will probably find an expert for that sort of thing, engines I am fine with but structural things scare me. Do you think any competent garage would be OK with this sort of thing?
  22. Hi All I had a look at this last night. I think the boot rubbers have already been replaced, since there was a small bag with an old one in it supplied with the car. Also - I had the boot open, and manually rocked the back end up and down, and got a little bit of the same noise. So I guess it's either shocks or suspension, any ideas anyone? Thanks!
